Is it worth the money for north Louisiana? Looks like it was mostly built for navigation in the marshes. But would be nice if it had routes for red river and WMAs up here
Shot in the dark you answer to this but I see you mess around in south la. I hunt Venice and all other surrounding areas. Looking to get a gps mounted on the mud boat for navigating at night. No need for all the other crazy stuff. What would you recommend?
I personally like Lowrance, simple to use and I like the standard mapping card. You can find one of the Lowrance models at a decent price. Check with Bass Pro or Cabelas if you can, they usually have sales on them from time to time. 7 inch screen would be ideal in my opinion
@@connorpower8488 standard mapping card is just simply an overlap of maps. Like looking at google earth in a way instead of cartoon graphics. SD card you insert into unit that uploads maps
Just baught the la one card last week , my map turns pink and blue when I zoom to 1 mile! Smh! Does yours do that? I shoulda went with nav platinum for half the price
@@reddawng43x91 that’s really the only real different between the standard and the premium I believe. I know the premium also shows WMA’s. I don’t think the standard card does. If you don’t need the safe routes, in my opinion just save the extra $100 and get the standard card
@@lainshore-brandonmaskew the wma boundary’s woulda been nice for when I bow hunt the atchafalaya delta , but for $100 more I don’t think it’s worth it

Honestly I don’t know if I would go with Standatd mapping for north Louisiana. You may be better off with some other programs, would save money too

@@lainshore-brandonmaskew so the standard mapping Louisiana card is just the high resolution imagery right. None of the other stuff ?

Yes mine does that as well. Mapping doesn’t change, only the color
Is there a way to hide those routes and only show them when needed?
Yes, go into chart options. Turn off navigation aid I believe. Should remove the routes, but you can turn them back on when needed
I’m looking to buy a card for south la also as we speak! What’s the difference in the standard vs the premium besides the added safe routes?
I have the same unit as you
