I want an 18x60 with either a 70 or 90..... won’t have much of a load but want the open floor adaptability. Was gonna go mud motor but not after seeing your setup!
I think it’s a 54 inch shaft. You are gonna love the 17x54hd. Plenty of room, just a good size for an all around/do anything boat. You going with an outboard or mud motor?
Awesome! I can’t wait to get it. I went with an outboard 75hp Mercury with a jackplate that has a kick up on it. I live towards east Texas & couldn’t really justify having a mud motor as a primary boat.
Im glad to hear that. I’ve never owned a mud motor but highly considered it. Is there anything you wish you would have gotten or changed now that you’ve got your boat?
@@austinraymond4216 as of right now, no there isn’t anything I wish I would have done differently. I almost had a polling platform put on the back, but I’m glad I didn’t. I feel like that would have just got in the way more than anything. I can always add to the boat later on if I decide, but I’m happy with it right now
holy shit that GT is rollin son
Oh yeah, smooth ridding too!
@@lainshore-brandonmaskew what year is yours? I’m looking into a 15x44 when they slow down
@@hash_slinging_slasher7765 2021. I literally just picked this rig up almost two months ago
@@lainshore-brandonmaskew I called them the other day said it would be about 30 weeks. I think I’ll just wait
@@hash_slinging_slasher7765 yeah I imagine they are gonna be backed up for a little while

Don’t go with a mud motor! I used to have one on my old boat! You will be much more happier with an outboard!
What length shaft did you go with on your trolling motor? I just put a deposit down on a 17x54hd last week.

@@austinraymond4216 same here. I had a mud motor on my last boat. Definitely enjoying the outboard more with this setup

What kinda speeds are you getting?
Mid to upper 30’s depending on load
It’s a shame to put a 90 hp on an 1860… Quit being a cupcake and put a one 140 or 175 on it
