I’ll never understand the logic of the Spider-Copter. It just does not make sense for a character who can quickly swing around NYC. Also, I adore how awful the Mandarin’s flaming golf cart is.
I still say they should’ve just made all of the Ultimate Spider-Man vehicles into Shield Vehicles. Like, why aren’t they Shield vehicles when a huge part of the show was about Spidey joining Shield?
Well think about it, he always needs something to swing from so if he wants to go higher than the skyscrapers to pursuit someone, or even in urban areas.
I personally like the Captain America Vs. Hydra set. The 'Tank' has nice suspension, and reminds me of the duck boats from the Crystal Skull sets. However, owning both the Marvel and DC Constraction figures, that Hulk is awful.
I feel 75% of marvel bulids are “well the build sucks but the figures are cool” Because of this I end up skipping more sets that buying tbh. Lego would make much more money from me if they just sold a bunch of mini figures packs or CMFs as opposed to proper sets
True, this is why I'm focusing on collecting Marvel minifigs only. I have very few vehicles, only those that make sense lore-wise - like Ghost Rider and his bike, Black Panther's Dragon Flyer, Taserface and his fighter plane etc.
Yeah. I think some of the best and only builds are terrain or background stuff. Like the new Avengers Age of Ultron set that comes with all 6 of them and the snow terrain. It's a great backdrop for them. The Avengers Tower is another great one. But vehicles and mechs? Nah 😂

Just putting it out there, most of these are Spider-Man sets. I think LEGO really needs to improve on the Spider-Man stuff. LEGO avengers and mcu sets have been pretty good recently but Spider-Man is still getting uninteresting builds with the same mini figures sprinkled throughout. Like I was super excited when they released a new carnage and miles morales figure back in 2019 because I never got the set they originally came out in but now specifically carnage feels like he’s in every Spider-Man wave with no updates. Spider-Man sets are often just too uninspired and bland because they don't really pull from any source material. Just Spider-Man+Ally+Vlllain+Vehicle and repeat set after set. Also repetition of villains is bad in the Spider-Man sets. I think Spidey would be a good character to do city-esque location sets with a Marvel theme personally.
@@kamirubidan2080 Exactly my words. The Spider-Man+Ally+Vlllain+Vehicle would even work a little bit better if they focused on making vehicles used by the villains. Spider-Man doesn't use and doesn't need them and all of those spidey- cycles and spidey-trucks are ridiculous.

I guess Lego is honestly confused on how to do Asian characters in stylized Lego form. Minifigs don't have noses and accentuating the eyes could be construed as racist, as well as possibly working against the idea of selling Lego in China with generic yellow-faced minifigs. (Meant to represent mostly caucasians in Europe and America, and asians in China and Japan, I guess.) So, since Lego doesn't have a particular Asian skin color in their current palette (I could Imagine something between Light Nougat and Tan...) and they avoid having particularly Asian features on their minifigs in general, it looks as if they aren't represented at all instead... Personally, I believe the Rose Tico situation is probably the best solution, with the eyes marked slightly but not as much as in the Indiana Jones sets. And a 'proper' Asian skin color with a yellowish tint might be useful, although it could be a color too similar to existing colors that it would be of little use outside of skin tones...
12:17 And that’s why General Grievous and the Stormtroopers were the best in the Star Wars line! Was kind of expecting the Venom Crawler on here. That Spider-Car looks almost like a Lepin product! Good list though!
Hulk vs Red Hulk was such a missed opportunity for us to just go mayhem and destroy ala Lego City destruction sub theme back in the day. I MEAN THEY ALWAYS TORE UP THE CITY IN THE VIDEO GAMES BUT YOU DONT EVEN GIVE US A MINI COOPER TO ANTAGONIZE AND DESTROY?!
The buildable figures were truly bizarre, but they were made during the time that the CCBS was still finding its footing. The Star Wars CCBS figures were perhaps the peak of what the CCBS could be, and I would've rather they made some DC/Marvel buildable figures with a level of quality comparable to the Star Wars ones. The Star Wars ones didn't sell that well but enough to last a few waves, and when making no-name characters into figures like Baze and Jyn, and releasing Vader twice. They gave up on constraction too easily when the simple answer is make new lines for superheroes that aren't shiddy like the 2012 ones.
7:48 I remember getting that set before Christmas and being so excited to open it. I understand why it's not good but too me it's an amazing set and I'm so mad at my younger self for destroying it.
Regarding the Spider-Copter, in the series this set is based on Peter joins S.H.I.E.L.D. On his first day, Dr. Connors offers him a whole array of spider-themed gadgets and vehicles, one of which being a motorcycle that can shoot and ride on webs. Spider-Man even points out that he can just thwip his way across town and Connors points out that that can cause a lot of muscle strain, plus it’s faster to go use the Spidercycle. In a later episode, he is named Boston’s very-own superhero and a boy genius super fan creates an array of spider themed vehicles, such as the Spider Buggy. So technically it’s not inappropriate for this version of Spider-Man to have spider themed vehicles and such.
Subjectively this list is pretty spot on. Number 1 definitely deserves it's spot as personally I never understood the reasoning for any of those buildable styled figures in either Marvel or DC. Out of all of these I think I only ever owned the Iron Man 3 boat, Hydra tank and most recently the Spideman Monster truck. Out of the 3 IMO the Hydra tank is easily the worst build as in nothing about it makes sense, but I guess is about as close to a militant styled vehicle Lego can properly get without becoming too realistic. Still a decent value for a $25 set that I think gave us out first Red Skull figure, and only comic accurate hydra henchman. Honorable mention though I don't own it is last years Marvel Take down truck which looks abysmally bad for any kind of Marvel assault vehicle. Best out of that entire wave IMO was the taller/improved Avengers tower.
The ccbs hulk build( which shall be known from this point forward as "The Clump") also was a perfectly serviceable part pack, assuming the head piece dosent curse you if you stare at it too long.
6:30 and 7:30 I have a soft sport for both of these because the motorcycle was the first video on my channel (and the only review I ever ended up doing lol) and the tank was my first marvel set and I though it was pretty fun with the wheels that could go over terrain tbh
Yeah. It's weird that the Marvel line gets so many sets with each of them getting new exclusive minifigs, but they rarely ever give new prints or updates to the Spider-Man figure.
The cool thing about number five is that in Lego Marvel Superheroes, you could use it to noclip under the map by shooting at a wall and using the splash damage to destroy the bottom part. Since the top part doesnt have collision, it would fall through the map. And if youre using a flying character you could go under some invisible walls to go explore
I honestly love the mechs and ccbs sets mostly for the parts, the actual sets aren't very good, but I can't get enough of those pieces, especially now that ccbs is gone

I love the tank from the captain America vs hydra set because of a glitch in the first lego marvel game where if the player that controls the upper part of the tank starts shooting on the same direction that the other player is moving the tank you start to get hit with your own missiles, and if you destroy the tank that way, the player on the upper part starts falling beyond the floor out of boundries. I got a good laugh with my brother that day
I stopped collecting LEGO sets for a few reasons 1: The sets feel incomplete 2: useless vehicles (especially for Spider-Man) 3: outrageous prices 4: outclassed by their older sets. Those No Way Home sets look so disappointing! I think back to the days of the 2002 Bridge and Labs, Doc Ock train, and the rest of the Spider-Man 2 sets. If you want an acurate or set that comes to feel complete, cough up over $200
3:30 I disagree. I own this set and really enjoy it. They really did goof up on the Spider - copter by making the body fun and goofy and colorful Spider - Man stuff and then giving it a black bottom and realistic rotors. It honestly looks like they took a random glider they designed and a 4+ Spider - Man set and slapped some Technic pieces on the latter and added a Big Fig and some decent minifigures.
The reason why they didn’t make Winter Soldier sets is probably because LEGO won’t even make pieces based on most guns so a film where they’re used in every other scene probably would have broken one of their guidelines or at least an unwritten rule. As one of the better MCU films it would have made for some badass sets but an assault rifle piece definitely would’ve helped.
The "no guns" rule isn't a stone set rule for licenses themes. Cf. the Indiana Jones sets. Most Marvel sets are set in the modern era, though, so that would require modern looking guns.
@@hakanstorsater5090 They made a brick-built modern gun for Punisher in the Daily Bugle set. The Infinity War White Wolf outfit of Bucky has a gun regularly used for modern guns. I don't see the issue.
@@maxxor-overworldhero6730 The DB set was "for adults", but I can see your points. There was also a brick-built machine gun in the Indiana Jones set 7622 Race for the Stolen Treasure, which I think was widely released. For in-house themes, weapons and guns are only allowed if they're based on a historical or fantasy setting, but I'm not sure about the current ruling for licensed themes, as long as it's supposed to adhere to Lego's core values or something (which of course the anti-hero Punisher doesn't do, to begin with, but there you go...) ...
Occasionally I don't agree with your opinions but I love your channel and your videos have inspired me to make my own lego channel which Im going to start tomorrow I just wanted to thank you for inspiring me
@@just2good oh my goodness you replied that's so cool while your here I just want to say I agree with the Hulk set at the start it's better than it looks
I’ve noticed that the bad looking sets have great mini figures about 80% of the time, just to convince you to buy it. Like spider man noir in the venom set, or the monster-like sandman in the spider crawler
3:34 Was I the only one thinking of this scenario while watching: Just2good: That doesn't make sense... Spidey: IT DOESN'T HAVE TO I'VE GOT A MONSTER TRUCK!
If there's one thing to add to the list, it would be CCBS Cap for the awkward construction in shoulder pads (set comes with plenty of good pieces for MOCs).
I bought the spider copter recently so I could have Mary Jane for my daily bugle ( I don’t like having figures without having the sets they’re from, don’t know if that’s a normal thing or not ), and yeah… it’s really not good. I was hoping I’d like it a bit more after putting it together, but much like with all these spider-vehicle sets, it’s just a set in buying for a figure. It’s a shame LEGO won’t just make better sets. Give the villains some vehicles or cool buildings/scenery, stop making everything spider themed. Make a museum Mystero attacks, or a lab that makes the green goblin, or a bank vault Rhino is breaking into. Kids like vehicles, but find a balance, not just throwing red and blue parts on wheels and calling it a day.
A perfect Marvel set for me is one like 76058: Spider-Man: Ghost Rider Team-Up. It consists of Spidey minifig, Ghost Rider with his motorcycle, HobGoblin with his glider and some street details like traffic light, trash bin etc. It's stuff you see in comics, not some insane spidey- vehicles, two minifigs are exclusives, it's fun and easily to combine with other sets.
It sucks we have more vehicles that don’t make sense than unique locations, in both superhero themes. The only DC locations we get are the Batcave and Arkham Asylum, and all we have for Marvel is the Avengers Tower and Daily Bugle (not that I’m complaining about the latter)
I really really hope that they remake stark jet, I love that vehicle it’s just such a cool design but that build isn’t really that impressive. Such a missed opportunity.
It is good you did not put hulk vs red hulk because I like that set but I don’t have it but anyway it’s is a good play feature when they get thrown at each other

Those No Way Home sets look so disappointing! I think back to the days of the 2002 Bridge and Labs, Doc Ock train, and the rest of the Spider-Man 2 sets. If you want an acurate or set that comes to feel complete, cough up over $200
2:32 It apears in the TV show
3:30 I disagree.
Glad ya love it!
13:16 "mom, can I have lego hulk?"
"you have lego hulk at home"
Lego hulk at home:
The reason why they didn’t make Winter Soldier sets is probably because LEGO won’t even make pieces based on most guns so a film where they’re used in every other scene probably would have broken one of their guidelines or at least an unwritten rule. As one of the better MCU films it would have made for some badass sets but an assault rifle piece definitely would’ve helped.
LEGO is schizophrenic and/or bipolar when it comes to following their own rules. It gets really annoying.
Occasionally I don't agree with your opinions but I love your channel and your videos have inspired me to make my own lego channel which Im going to start tomorrow I just wanted to thank you for inspiring me
Thank you for the kind words and good luck with your new channel!
@@just2good oh my goodness you replied that's so cool while your here I just want to say I agree with the Hulk set at the start it's better than it looks
@@just2good I'm actually having my first video be a review of the Spiderman bridge battle from 2016
I’ve noticed that the bad looking sets have great mini figures about 80% of the time, just to convince you to buy it. Like spider man noir in the venom set, or the monster-like sandman in the spider crawler
Yuppp
3:34
Was I the only one thinking of this scenario while watching:
Just2good: That doesn't make sense...
Spidey: IT DOESN'T HAVE TO I'VE GOT A MONSTER TRUCK!
0:55 was my childhood
I love this style of video, keep them coming!
Thank you :)
@@just2good np!
Man, I used to have all the Iron Man 3 sets and I loved every single one
Ayy nothin’ wrong about that 😄
If there's one thing to add to the list, it would be CCBS Cap for the awkward construction in shoulder pads (set comes with plenty of good pieces for MOCs).
I actually like the Spider man vs Doc Ock set, it's awesome, and i also liked the spider man mech set
The Hydra Tank set was one of my first Lego sets ever which is why it makes me a bit sad to see it on the list 😭😂
Life on Mars in the background 😌
So frigggin gud
I’d love to see one of these for Star Wars maybe?
Ohhhh MAYBE.
It sucks we have more vehicles that don’t make sense than unique locations, in both superhero themes. The only DC locations we get are the Batcave and Arkham Asylum, and all we have for Marvel is the Avengers Tower and Daily Bugle (not that I’m complaining about the latter)
I would love more location stuff for sure. Playsets are my jam.
I really really hope that they remake stark jet, I love that vehicle it’s just such a cool design but that build isn’t really that impressive. Such a missed opportunity.
Agreed. I’d also love a legit Happy
@@just2good I agree and wow that was fast
I love the Life on Mars at the beginning, Bowie instrumentals are so good!
When i was kid i thought those are good and RIP my money
lol
It is good you did not put hulk vs red hulk because I like that set but I don’t have it but anyway it’s is a good play feature when they get thrown at each other
I never understood the spider copter hate. I loved that show when I was little and Spider-Man was in helicopters all the time. Sure they were shield helicopters so they shouldn't be Spider-Man color but.. I played with that helicopter so much.
I’m glad you enjoyed it, I never watched the show but remember Drake Bell voiced Spidey, lul
@@just2good Yeah. I think if it was released today I wouldn't like it, but I guess being little and watching the show made it better. I forgot that was Drake haha
I was really surprised that you left Hulk vs, Red Hulk off the list, because I remember when those pictures came out and you were hating on it so much. Also, I'm loving all the top 10s! Really brings me back to when I first discovered your channel all the way back in 2016
Thank you so much Zed!
He's mellowed and matured, now when he's 23...
Ima be honest there is a lot of flaws with marvel sets but the ones that turn out well become legendary
That’s right. I’m looking forward to making a Top 20 Best Marvel sets next year, a remake of the original :D
These videos are great! Keep it up!!
Thanks so much 😄
13:29 T posing Hulk
😏
In an Cinema(Kinopolis) in Germany there was a Display with some Merchandise from different Movies. From all the Avengers Sets at the Time, they decided to put the Mandarin Golf-Cart in the Display.
lol that’s amazing
After seeing what you said about Hulk vs Red Hulk”, I might have to get it. Maybe I’ve been to harsh on it.
I'm pretty sure the price for that set has doubled because of the figures
That set has worthless pieces even. Its still a bad set litteraly made to sell figures.
The Hulk vs. Red Hulk set was basically an “Honorable Mention.”
I definitely would not put iron man 3 sets on this list. For $20 getting 2 awesome mini figures and a kinda ok one is pretty good. And the go cart is a weird build but the heartbreaker armor is absolutely beautiful. Both the sets are weird but the minifigs redeem them
Yeah and I had a blast with the $20 War Machine and Iron Man boat. Easily my favorite set for the minifigures that I have, not counting the Hall of Armor
Banger video! I'm patiently waiting for your next Top 10!
Hope it makes yours explode in views lol
@@just2good Lmao, me too!
Lego Marvel is overall a pretty good theme that has great figures.
I loveeee marvel minifigs
"This has no exclusive figures whatsoever" a few seconds later "This is the only time we get a Happy Hogan figure and probably ever will"
The number 10 spidercopter is probably a thing because spiderman might need to go somewhere that has really small building that he probably couldn’t swing from. Because what is he gonna do if he suddenly runs out if web fluid mid battle because he has been swinging everywhere.
5:28 can we all agree, it used to be the cheapest way to get iron man
*(Near to **4:52** because we got War Machine too in a good price atleast*
Yeah I would dev buy this for 30 bucks since it's rare nowdays
The only problem with the mechs is the open gaps
i’m very nostalgic towards the captain america vs hydra set and the spider-copter set. i had both of the sets from the line that the captain america vs hydra set was from, and i loved both of them
I didn't know that LEGO Mighty Micros had small legs for the characters like some small/child-size characters, but at least good looking cars designs for each character (like ready to play "LEGO Kart" with them).
13:20 OH SH*T WAT HAVE THEY DONE TO HULK'S BACK 😂🤣
Here’s the weird thing about the Hulk constraxion set: that one metallic black torso has actually been made in green, Breez from Hero Factory had a light green color scheme.
9:50 I can’t believe that Lego hasn’t remade this set yet. All of the passenger planes that came out afterwards were slightly smaller and twin engined.
Isn’t the 2020 one a remake tho?
I appreciate the fact that you now like the hulk set. That set holds a special place in my heart since it was the set that my brother bought me for Christmas one year. I will always love it
Happy hogan looks almost like Bruce Wayne
YESS BEEN WAITING FOR AN UPDATED LIST
2:04 is when I really started to appreciate the background song choice.
While that song is so good, that part is amazing
Justin literally lost his sanity talking about the flaming golf cart
I had the red skull vs captain America thing and the iron man 3 speedboat as a kid and honestly they were really fun back then even if I didn’t watch the movie
I’m glad #1 was something I hold nostalgia for ironically.
I have the spider mech and most of the marvel mechs and I love them 😭
I have to admit. When I was a kid and saw the iron man set from iron man 3, I was laughing really hard just seeing how small it was for its price. I was like, "Cool. Just a boat and mini figures."
The reason there's a spider copter is because it was in the lego marvel superheroes game and was used to get him over areas with water
In reference to #10; to further the ridiculousness, why would big hulked out green goblin figure be on that little rinky-dink air glider?
I didn’t have that last one but I definitely remember them also can we please get more Bionicle I don’t even need a show
If you want to get alcohol poisoning, take a shot every time he says something about a vehicle set.
LOL
Spiderman often uses different vehicles in the comics, it’s not out of nowhere that they came up with his vehicles
