You know, instead of constantly remaking the same three Avengers characters, Lego could use their obsession with mechs to give us more X-Men, Fantastic Four, and other obscure characters. Its a relatively risk-free and inexpensive way to give us these characters, and it would make fans actually be happy to get more mechs. Just look how excited everyone was for the Wolverine mech earlier this year.
The mechs have been great. I didnt have a Black Panther or Wolverine before them and the updated Miles and Captain America were awesome. Even the Thanos minifig was cool. The mech builds are pretty neat too
I made a custom nightcrawler with that tail I just wish they’d make a dark blue tail like the devil mini fig that be better nightcrawler but the avatar morning works fine
Ideally, Nightcrawler should have a tail that's long and thin and with a pointed arrow shape at the end. A recolored Naughty Little Devil tail might be the best choice. The Avatar figs have the Speedy Gonzales tail, but it still feels too light. (It would fit better in Bright or maybe Dark Blue...) I think that T-Rex Costume tail is a new piece, but it might be too thick...
One thing I thought would be worth of note is that a few years ago (I think 2019-2020) some Toy companies such as Hasbro or Funko released a collection of Legacy products of the Fox X-Men movies (Marvel Legends action figures based on characters from the X-Men and Deadpool movies for example). I think that LEGO releasing some Legacy sets of those movies similar to the Infinity Saga would be really cool, specially with Deadpool 3 coming out soon as this sort of tribute to all these movies. Who knows, maybe with Deadpool 3 we do get a sort of Infinity Saga-style sets for them. Or indirect tie-ins
I would’ve preferred a comic book Minifigure series and instead get Disney Plus show sets But I like your ideas! Let’s hope the future for the mutants are a lot brighter
I think Lego is crazy to not have done a wave of comic-based Fantastic 4 sets. I get that there hasn’t been a well-received film for it to coincide with, but it would still sell well. My ideal Fantastic 4 wave would go as such: 1. Baxter Building Lab Attack - Small, $15 set where Mole Man busts into Reed’s lab with a vehicle build similar to the Underminer’s. Characters include Mister Fantastic, Mole Man, and a brick-built H.E.R.B.I.E. 2. Skrull Invasion - Pretty much a standard spaceship build and a street corner. Characters include Invisible Woman, Spider-Man in his Fantastic 4 suit (the one with the black mask, NOT Bombastic Bagman), Veranke, and a Skrull foot soldier. 3. Latveria Rescue - Latverian castle lab where Johnny is captured and Reed is rescuing him, or vice versa. Characters include Mister Fantastic, Human Torch, Doctor Doom, and two Doombots. 4. Fantastic 4 vs. Galactus - Fantasticar and Galactus built in the same Granger style as Harry Potter and Hermione in that one set. It makes sense for this to be the only set with all four members of the team since it would easily be at least $100. Characters (not including Galactus) include Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, Silver Surfer, and Thing as a big fig. Also important to note is that Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, and Human torch would have different variants since they’re all in at least two sets. They’d each have a variant as just the regular suit, then Mister Fantastic would have one with the long arms, Invisible Woman would have one with clear pieces, and Human Torch would have one with fire printing and the flame head piece that was used for Ghost Rider and some other characters.
If Lego really wants to give us a $500+ mech-style build, they should give us a giant buildable Galactus figure. That is a unique and unheard of concept for both Marvel and Lego that I think would better justify that price point.
@@MetaDHedge28 Another detail I thought about adding was that the Baxter Building Lab Attack would have its own Mister Fantastic variant with a lab coat over his blue suit. But then I realized that I was pushing it with how many exclusive minifigs Lego would realistically put in a wave like this and had to make a choice between that and F4 Spider-Man.
@@lewisholiman9237 You made the best decision honestly. Spider-man and the Fantastic Four are so closely associated in the comics that it makes a ton of sense.
The lack of Fantastic Four in Lego at all hurts so much man. At least we got Doctor Doom in 2013 but man, it hurts not being able to face him off against his arch nemeses
Ms marvel, she hulk, and daredevil already have mini figs. And i bet you you could easily make a few scenes from the show. Like with daredevil you could make hell’s kitchen (pretty standard grimy diner), ms marvel’s apartment, and she hulk vs daredevil at the parking lot (have a play feature to have walls fly off and a car throwing catapult)
There is so much Classic comic stuff they could do. Would you rather have a cosmic Spider-Man minifig or another Hulkbuster? Some X-men? Buildable Rock and Redeemer old Hulk characters? A Galactus? Ugh…

Lego giving the Harry Potter IP all this love pisses me off so much. Who even is buying those sets? All the sets we could get for, not just for Marvel, but DC and Star Wars. But no, we get endless waves of HP sets that clog up clearance bins.
One Disney Plus show has nothing to do with another. Just because the one Andor set isn’t selling as well as others doesn’t mean they’ll stop doing sets for all shows. Also we don’t really know how well sets do unless they stick around after retirement. Of them didn’t even have an actual episode connected to it either 🤷♂️
@@Ashnflash I know that one Disney+ show is always different, but from LEGO's eyes, because the What If sets failed, all Disney+ show sets will fail. LEGO is more focused on random sets and isn't very connected with its fans. Anyways, thank you for replying to my comment!
I want a Stan lee included in maybe a marvel series two with a signed shield like in I think a marvel legends figure. Would be a great tribute to him. Lego missed out also with the Spider-Man 60 anniversary that was heavily promoted with I’m pretty sure mostly marvel legends figures. Liked the video, and keep up the great work. :)
I'll be so dissapointed if Lego doesn't make new sets for No Way Home now that the movie has been out and everyone has seen it for almost a WHOLE YEAR now. Like there's major money to be made, and what company would turn down money? lol
Like Meep said, it's way too dark for kids. The way to go with that would've been doing SDCC figures of them like they do for the Arrowverse shows that don't get sets.
Biggest missed opportunity for missed promos would have been a gift with purchase with the Sanctum set, if just because a lot of Lego Marvel fans like myself ended up with the Forestmen Hideout GWP and castle fans didn't get the gwp because the castle didn't come out until a few days later. Would have been nice to get a Marvel-themed GWP on August 1st and save the castle GWP for the Lion Knights Castle
Honestly, I’m not offended by the lack of she hulk sets. I think moon knight could definitely be a modular set (people would totally buy it for the figures), Ms marvel could be the red dagger hideout, Hawkeye could’ve been a Christmas promotion of the tree, and for the upcoming secret invasion, we saw on the trailers Nick Fury in a spaceship. That on its own could be a set.
The Defenders TV shows (originally on Netflix) are up there with the Disney plus shows for me. I know we have a Daredevil in the Daily Bugle, and we have (ultimate cartoon) versions of Luke Cage and Iron Fist... but updated versions of them plus Jessica jones would be great. I'd love a Modular of Cage's Bar with murdock and Nelson and Jones Detective agency above it... that would be an awesome follow on to Sanctum Santorum. I know they don't actually exist in the same building but that would be such a cool addition to the two we have and a more adult focused set (Having updated versions of those figures plus the likes of Kingpin would be crazy popular) Totally agree on X-Men too, a minifigure collection on X-Men figures would be crazy popular.
I think they should go back and make at least one accurate set from each movie and show. Like Wandavision would have the house (Wanda, Vision, Agatha, Billy and Tommy, plus put 50s Wanda, Vision and Agatha in a CMF), TFATWS would be Sam's boat (Sam, Bucky, Sam's sister, and then CMF is Karli, US Agent, Isaiah, Zemo), Loki TVA base with Loki, Sylvie, Mobius and Renslayer (CMF Kang/He Who Remains), Hawkeye with the Trust a Bro or whatever van with Hawkeye, Kate, Yelena and Echo, CMF Kingpin and a Track Suit guy probably Kazi), Werewolf by Night with Jack, Elsa and Ted in the set no need for a CMF addition really, Moon Knight ship from the Duat with Steven and Mark (preferably done in Moon Knight and Mr. Knight with alternate heads and hairs), Tawaret and Khonsu, and then CMF would include Layla and Harrow. Round two: Ms. Marvel, the house with Ms. Marvel, Bruno, Nakia, Kamran and Najma. CMF would be Aisha, Red Dagger, and maybe Kamala's parents too idk. She Hulk--Bruce's island bar and stuff would be cool, Jennifer and She Hulk forms, Hulk, Abomination + Blonsky. CMF could be that friend of hers that I don't care about if they wanna include her. Save the remaining 7 CMF spots for the next few shows.
Hopefully all these ideas will come true, especially having a Stan Lee LEGO set or promotion! An idea for a set could be a comic store with loads of Easter Eggs to previous Marvel comics!
I think we’ll get X-Men and Fantastic 4 sets when they come into the MCU… I know it won’t happen but I also think LEGO should dedicate a Marvel series 2 to X-Men characters
Spots number 7-5 + 2 could and should have put in it's own Sony vs lego marvel spot when other like con and pre-order exclusive should have their own spots due to they're more head scratches then the spiderman stuff.
I'm not sure what there is to talk about with con minifigures and pre-order exclusives. Pre-Order exclusives only happen with video games, which Marvel gets. And I don't think there's too many people upset that there were no con figures this year
Sets we NEED (not mechs, sets) X mansion Asteroid M Apocalypse pyramid Mastermold Baxter building ( correct me if I’m wrong but I think that’s fantastic four?) Something with abomination Disney + show sets
If I was in charge of xmen I would do 3 sets:1 set that's just 2 buildable sentinels they are a staple villain in the comics might even add a futuristic one 'from days of the future past',also add 2 xmen and a colossus big fig. 2nd set with apocalypse and his comic accurate horsemen also 3 more different xmen figs. The 3rd set would be centered around magneto and the brotherhood of evil even a juggernaut big fig. Then add a cms series with all the xmen that werent in the sets
Unfortunately I never got the marvel Lego minifigures because by the time I got enough money for multiple packs they completely sold out and never came back
I wish Lego did more obscure/retro comics sets. Like old models of Iron Man armor, different non MCU villains, maybe even Web-Man. Just one small set like this per year would be perfect for many fans
You know, before they crashed and burned DC Super Heroes were outdoing Marvel in the figure aspect as Lego were taking greater creative choices with new characters and comic sets. Look at the Captain Boomerang, Gorilla Grodd, Katana, Deathstroke etc and this was all before The Lego Batman Movie. Marvel has had a the occasional random character made and it’s usually for pre-order bonuses like a game or if you spend over a certain amount (Goliath, comic Winter Soldier). I like that we’ve had characters such as Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider, Firestar, Black Cat, Punisher, Blade and Daredevil made but aside from the GR they were all tied up in an extremely expensive and hard to buy set, especially now. Next year we are due to get Morbius and another new Ghost Rider as well as a Hulk Mech which is great, but if Lego want to be extra creative and encourage sets to sell well they should take the DC route and push more new characters and character designs out, like that Hulk Mech could easily be a Joe Fixit Hulk with a big Tommy Gun gattling gun as an accessory to the mech.
For spot # 4, I think another good way they couldve implemented Stan Lee minifigure is with an advent calendar. One marvel Stan Lee cameo for every day of a certain month, how about his birth month?
If I remember correctly, Lego and Marvel in the past used to have a deal that only allowed them to make sets for one movie every year, hence why we only got sets for Iron Man 3
I really think Lego should base sets off comics more, just opens the door for more sets and keeps things fresh instead of having 50 Spiderman and 20 mech sets a year. They could even collab with the art theme and make Lego comic book covers. I'd buy every one 😂
Personally what I would have done for 10 years is do a golden Stan Lee or a golden Nick Fury. That figure should have been in a Lego set from a movie voted by fans.
ok here are some ways lego can improve their company and their lego marvel sets: 1. STOP MAKING COMIC CON EXCLUSIVES 2. stop making unnecessary vehicles thqt the heros never had 3. make more sets based on the movies, comics, games etc 4. start making more dc sets in the same concept style as i suggest 5. only include vehicle sets for vehicles that actually exist in marvel 6. no more mech sets because people only get them for the minifigures 7. making sets for older audiences since thats like most of legos audience right now
These are too many missed opportunities. Come on LEGO, know your fanbase! And if you don’t know them, start learning about them! We want all of these things! Just give it to us!!!
I know Disney gets the merchandising money from the Tom Holland films, but I'm not sure about the old Spiderman films or the animated Spider-Verse films so that could possibly why lego isn't doing sets on them due to pressure from Disney, that would also be my guess as to why DC has gotten less and less over the years due to Lego becoming closer partners with Disney
What do you think is LEGO's biggest missed opportunity with Marvel?

Sets we NEED (not mechs, sets)
X mansion
Asteroid M
Apocalypse pyramid
Mastermold
Baxter building ( correct me if I’m wrong but I think that’s fantastic four?)
Something with abomination
Disney + show sets
Baxter building would be the best lego set. Would give us all those minifigures were missing out on, plus an insanely cool set.
Unfortunately I never got the marvel Lego minifigures because by the time I got enough money for multiple packs they completely sold out and never came back
Awesome video ashnflash
I wish Lego did more obscure/retro comics sets. Like old models of Iron Man armor, different non MCU villains, maybe even Web-Man. Just one small set like this per year would be perfect for many fans
For me it's Asgard, so many missing characters and locations from there that they could do.
nice
Baxter Building 18+ set as a modular with the fantastic 4, doctor doom, bombastic bagman spiderman, kang, stan lee, silver surfer
Next year we are due to get Morbius and another new Ghost Rider as well as a Hulk Mech which is great, but if Lego want to be extra creative and encourage sets to sell well they should take the DC route and push more new characters and character designs out, like that Hulk Mech could easily be a Joe Fixit Hulk with a big Tommy Gun gattling gun as an accessory to the mech.
what we really need from Lego is a Lizard big fig. how has lego never made Lizard? that would be an instant sellout set if it had a lego Lizard in it
Hey Ashnflash you probably won’t see this but could you do a independent review on all the muppet cmf
Times past for that sorry. But I love them all!
No problem thank you for letting me know
I think you're going to need a bigger list.
Love the content Ashnflash! I couldn’t agree with your opinions more! Do you think we’re going to be getting a LEGO Marvel Superheroes 3 Game???
When will we get to see what the 2023 marvel Sets look like? It's usually this time of year when we get to see them.
Any day!
This was great, but could you please do a dc list next?
Missed Lego DC oppurtunities: 2022 AD
For spot # 4, I think another good way they couldve implemented Stan Lee minifigure is with an advent calendar. One marvel Stan Lee cameo for every day of a certain month, how about his birth month?
Lets goooooo
really cool
Lego have said a possible Statue of Liberty is possible soon. It was said in mini superheroes today’s interview
Please do the dc videos now please (I have extreme Lego dc withdrawal).
They released in september 2023 a new set of mystery boxes including quite a few X men but i still think we are missing some fantastic 4 sets
If I remember correctly, Lego and Marvel in the past used to have a deal that only allowed them to make sets for one movie every year, hence why we only got sets for Iron Man 3
I’ve never heard that before. So that changed in 2015 then?
@@Ashnflash I suppose so since that’s when they stopped doing it
We did get some What If and some Disney+ minifigs but there were some missed opportunities there too. No zombieworld Hawkeye or Wanda :(
We really need a nice set with all three spider-man
Cant wait for the 2022 advent calender
Ngl... I think they really need to release a lot more smaller sets that everyone can afford instead of "bigger" sets that that may or may not sell.
I just want a mcu she hulk minifigure so i can destroy it
👀
I really think Lego should base sets off comics more, just opens the door for more sets and keeps things fresh instead of having 50 Spiderman and 20 mech sets a year. They could even collab with the art theme and make Lego comic book covers. I'd buy every one 😂
I love the saga names though from infinity saga to multiverse saga
Bro lego had so many missed opportunity’s you can make an whole 1 hour video about it
They used to reales little Lego avengers comics
Yes
Personally what I would have done for 10 years is do a golden Stan Lee or a golden Nick Fury. That figure should have been in a Lego set from a movie voted by fans.
Well surprised we got the GotG Holiday Special Advent Calendar adn glad that we did. FInally had more affordable way to get Groot and Rocket.
We could get these eventually
There's never going to be another 10 year anniversary :(
ok here are some ways lego can improve their company and their lego marvel sets:
1. STOP MAKING COMIC CON EXCLUSIVES
2. stop making unnecessary vehicles thqt the heros never had
3. make more sets based on the movies, comics, games etc
4. start making more dc sets in the same concept style as i suggest
5. only include vehicle sets for vehicles that actually exist in marvel
6. no more mech sets because people only get them for the minifigures
7. making sets for older audiences since thats like most of legos audience right now
Kids love those un-canonical vehicles, though. I don't mind them so much if they bring something fresh to the table...
Disney got those rights in 2009
Wait: did you just say the 1st guardians of the galaxy movie only had one set? They had 3
Ever since Guardians, every film has had at least one set for a movie
The most missed opportunity is obviously either a no way home final fight scene or the big infinity war wankanda battle
What are we missing from Infinity War?
@@Ashnflash a big version of the outstrider attack on wakanda
Also a throne room for wakanda
The Knowhere fight, where Thanos kidnaps Gamora and gets the Reality stone.
The ship that Thor and the others escape on
