First I have to say that this was an absolutely fantastic restoration. Not only the mechanical but also the more complicated electronic aspects. You sir are a master craftsman. Secondly, I must complement the design and manufacture of this fine tool. It was clearly manufactured in a time where form and function reigned over low cost. I can only imagine what this tool must have cost new. Honest to god ball screw , thrust washers and aluminum castings; not the cheap blow molded crap that floods the market today.
I hope you had as much enjoyment doing that restoration as I did watching you do it. You have a very high level skill set and apply it making what most see as yard sale junk you bring back to life and upgrade even and its always a relaxing journey to go along on so in not so many words I thank you
Thank you for not saying or showing us how "You were walking in the woods and just happened to *find it under a branch* [freshly cut]. It's the only reason I continued watching, and decided to watch another. Well done from start to finish.
I don't know what impresses me more, the great restore and electronic job or that, that little battery powered OLD pruner will cut through such thick branches!!!! Great Job!!!
That was fun. Reminds me of the big old electric scissors we had when I was young. Ran on 3 "C" cells. They weren't very practical, but definitely fascinating to me as a kid.
Just look at this marvel of a battery, such a handsome gadget you've made =) I also loved how well you sharpened the blades, although I'm not sure if you stripped the plating… great job =)
Thank for video, good work! some tips: 1- use masking tape for non-colored areas (spray color can't resist acetone, so it is included in pattex (ruber) glue. 2- screw and pin grease /oil before assembly
Very well done. They’re a high quality pair of cutters that will last many years. I have a pair of Bosch cordless cutters and they won’t go through branches as thick as the ones you were cutting. Cheers Stuart 🇦🇺
Absolutely mad skills my friend incredible restoration and I’ll bet you it’s better than it was when it was new keep up the good work and great videos but once again absolutely mad skills!

Why must you make everything you do look easy lol. You inspire me to fix more stuff. As a kid I used to take things apart just to see how they worked, or fix stuff Similar to this. But you make you look so easy. Wth lol. Amazing job buddy, I'm glad to have found your channel
Or you can drop $20 on a relatively cheap rechargeable one and not need to worry about batteries for a while. Still, using sonic toothbrushes to clean parts with is an excellent recommendation, as they work fantastically well.
Very nice and fine work! Thanks.. if a suggestion is allowed, maybe you should heat and bathe in oil (maybe also wd40 could be ok) the blued parts.. otherwise I'm afraid they will get rusty in short.. especially for these tools to be used outdoor :) Thanks again for the video!
Все прекрасно, кроме заточки. Верхний рабочий нож должен иметь подвод только с одной стороны, именно с той где есть спуск. Вторая сторона идеально плоская, иначе в скором времени этот секатор будет зажевывать ветки.
Thank you for this video, i have a quick question, at 14:06 you applied a liquid to the now cleaned and prepped bolts and cogs, what was that liquid and what is the purpose other than coloration? I assume it is some sort of protectant?
when there is more than one bolt never fully unscrew and remove one before unscrew them all slightly unscrew them all then remove them so you won't end up with a tight screw
Those shears looked much older than i thought from the patina, but it cannot be that old given the brushless motor. Then again maybe brushless cordless power tools dident reach sweden until a few years ago.

Not everything modern is bad. You can order this exact one out of china right now for about $300
I have this exact pruner. My trigger is broken. Where can I buy one?

Although that soldering job on that battery meter dident turn out the greatest, but who am i to complain as i do the same thing too half the time.
Cool restoration, I enjoy your content. And a couple of additional words for the YT algorithms. Thank you
I believe that is the most dangerous thing you have restored. Very effective!
Thank you for bringing this beauty back to life and not tossing in the bin!
That was a beautiful tool restoring.
Even the battery build was fascinating to watch 👍🏼

Wow a proper ball screw. Nice! One of those cheap sonic tooth brushes works really good for cleaning parts. They run off of a single AAA battery.

That's amazing! Are you going to put a belt loop on the battery pack, or just put it in a sling bag or something while working?
Congratulations for you. Mas que essa ferramenta pro cara perder a bica do dedo , e top.
Man is this thing well built. I don't know what I was expecting to see inside but a ball screw was not it. Powerful too!
Perfect restoration . 👍👍

This is called "cold bluing", that forms a thin coat of iron oxide that prevents to rust
@@ored85 Outstanding! Thank you.

A little tape on the areas you don't want paint and you can avoid scraping off the paint later. Also how are you gonna charge your power bank? 🤔
The bank has a charging port on it right next to the cable port.
