The Titan is an awesome truck. I spent years selling and driving Rams but I would definitely give this truck a shot. Everyone has tried to copy that utili-trak system but Nissan still has the best.
5 year/100k is a strong selling point i sat in the regular titan at the Houston Auto show and it felt great. Sadly didn't get to test drive it, i got to test drive the maxima platinum and it was beautiful.
I just bought a 2017 Titan Pro4X, test drove all the brands, this was my favorite. I have had many Nissan, Infiniti products is the past and have always been pleased with them. There are some distinctive features that I really like and the stock exhaust is throatier than you would think, when you want it. Overall, Nissan did well and I am looking forward to many smiles per mile in this sexy beast :)
Random Channel it’s all about profits. Nissan and Toyota might make a few of their vehicles in the US, but 70% of their profits go back to Japan. Even the Japanese have more pride than you douchebags - they believe in buying their own. I wish you guys could be just as patriotic
im from the uk not looking to buy a truck but when it comes to doing reviews this is one of the best ive seen straight into facts informative and entertaining...great job!!!!!!
This is a beautiful truck. I drove the XD Pro4x with the Diesel. well built, nice interior. The only thing I have a bit of difficulty with is I think Nissan missed the mark on the front end. Other than that, it was a nice riding, well mannered best in class truck.
Just bought a used 2018 Single cab Titan! With less than 7,000 single cab Titans made over its 3-year production run it may very well be the rarest mass-produced pickup truck of the 21st century! (With the only possible exception being the 2009 Flareside crew-cab F-150). So far I'm loving it! I'm a Ford guy thru-and-thru, but everybody and their mother drives an F-150, so I traded in my F-150 to be able to claim that I drive one of the rarest trucks on the planet... but I came to find that the Titan really is a legitimate and enjoyable truck! I'd make the trade again in a heartbeat!
I love my 2018 Titan SV 5.6 V8....Its loaded with only the features I want and care to pay for. It is a beast and very comfortable on a road trip. Don't believe all the shit you hear from the biased bought "pro" reviews. Listen to Edmunds and other real actual consumer reviews. Everyone loves them !! They will do everything any other truck will do and sometimes better with more comfort but at a much lower purchase price. And backed by 5 year 100K mile warranty. Cant beat it !! The V8 sound in this beast is the best Ive heard in any truck and it will get up and haul ass if needed. I like to buy the blacksheep that's way underated and at a bargain price. The Titan is way better truck than anyone realizes. If all truck buyers drove a Titan many of them would buy one. I have no interest in a diesel or towing over 10-20,000 lb loads so its a moot point. I tow 8,000 lbs or less and the truck pulls like a beast. If you need to haul super heavy loads than by all means buy a diesel in a true super/heavy duty truck. This truck is awesome at way less money.
I am a Nissan guy. Started with an X-Terra, moved up to a Titan LE, then an Armada Titanium, next 2 Maxima, a SV then a Platinum, and now back to a Titan Platinum Reserve 4X4.
I used to have a 2008 Ford Edge, 2013 Ford Focus and a 2008 Ford Explorer....I have had a dozen F150's All have been a pain in the A$$$ costing me a fortune. My life has calmed way down with my 2006 Nissan Maxima has 200k miles my 2015 Nissan Pathfinder and my 2017 Nissan Titan. From now on its only Nissan in my garage.
Royhan oh yea! With the 6.2, 8 speed combo! Will tow more with a gas engine, get better mileage than either Nissan engine. Plus cost about the same, even adding in a better extended warranty! Then you will have a truck, with a built in 4G LTE hotspot, with OnStar, an AWD setting and more power, torque and lighter agility, with better handling. The only downside is a loss of about 300 lbs. carrying capacity.
If you compare it to the chevy 5.3 that's outdated in power its superior. Now if you want to compare it to the 6.2 gm engine why dont you step up to the premium motor they offer the Cummins 5.0. The point with the Nissan is bang for your buck. They offer a lot of power and the price is kept way under what gm or ford offers.
Kinda miss that non-stop exhaust roar and cheap price of the old pickups like the titan that attracted younger buyers. Now, No young buyer is going to spend over 45 grand on a pick up that is about the size of a Silverado 2500.
My 2017 Nissan Titan XD has the 5.0 Cummins Engine made by Americans in America. I own one an absolutely love it. I owned the 2006 Titan Prox4 before that. I am sick of Fords 6.0 Diesel issues and Chevys Duramax issue. I still like the Dodge Cummins but this truck costs less and I pull my 30' travel trailer with no issues up 9 percent grade and it seems like the truck is yawning while doing it. My last Titan all I replaced other then tires and batteries was a starter. Some interior parts were inferior but Nothing like Ford and Chevys engine and transmission issues. Way more expensive.
I HAVE A NISSAN FAMILY I OWN A 17'PLATINUM TITAN MY WIFE HAS 17' PLATINUM ARMADA AND MY SON A 17' MAXIMA PLATINUM AND MY DAUGHTER A 17' ALTIMA 3.5 SR #LOYAL TO NISSAN
i have 2 titans 2014 and 2017 and the 17 is a 4x4..i do like both of them they have over 100000 miles on both of them, so far i have done nothing to the 14..no problem at all... but on the other hand the 2017 problem after problem...ill just name the 2 main problems,,,,i pull a 16ft cargo trailer everyday weighs 2300lbs also no more than 2000lb of cargo at one time...after 80000 miles had to put in new transmission in..they covered that one.... now with 80000 more miles this transmission is jerking between 2nd and third.. they only gave me a 1 yr 12000 mile warranty on this one,,,, i don't confident this 7 speed at all...just the transmission alone cost over 5000 not including labour etc...this truck would be fine and i would recommend it to anyone but not pulling weight on a daily bases ..i still owe over 12000 dollars on it and was hoping to get it paid off and keep if for several years... sorry about this review im just telling the truth,, other than that and put water pump on it and need a thermostat now which you have to replace the housing now,, 440 dollar part for just a thermostat,, crazy... i really do like this truck ,, nice ride ,, no engine problem ,,, 21 mile per gallon 15 pulling load,,, i like it better tha the 14 for riding comfort....but the transmission,,,,,my nephew bout a 2018 hd but only pulls a camper once in a while and has had no proplems with his......
It looks decent. We will see how far of an inroad it makes into other manufacturer's markets, especially the Tundras and F150 and Dodge 1500's.....etc . As for the turning radius, you said it would make the Titanic smile ...... but I guess that's why it's a TITAN-IC .....ged it! ***cheesy aint it*** By the way guys, awesome reviews as usual!
I'm about to sound stupid, but I don't care because I've searched many times with no answers. Maybe someone awesome can help me here: at 4:31, the red Titan, it has a trim under the door that runs from tire to tire. Is that something I can add on to my 2005 Titan, or am I out of luck? Again, I know how stupid I sound, but I'm tired of searching dead ends. I don't even know what it would be called.
I own a 06 ford escape hybrid my parents gave me. I think for a first car that I buy myself, Id 100% go for a titan. I like this style over the old gen. Id love a XD with the cummins diesel but that costs a bit more. Still tho, the normal Titan comes with a good sounding V8.
Wow. Your polite negativity. I mean, How DARE a Titan be better than an F150, Silverado, or Ram!! "Barely 18 mpg hwy." That's very good for a 5.6L, 390 hp V8, full size, crew cab, 4wd pickup!! And it burns REGULAR UNLEADED (87 octane)! Nearly 400 hp on 87 is great! KBB, you so badly want to give this truck a poor review, but you can't. Haha. Sure, it's an import brand, but it (and the Armada) are manufactured in America!...by Americans! How many American brand trucks are manufactured in Canada and Mexico? Anyway, you're right about loyalists. I'm DEFINITELY a loyal Nissan guy!! We've had over 20 Nissan/Infiniti vehicles. In MY experience, it's been the best, most reliable, and durable brand we've ever owned and I've owned many others! A Titan is EEEEEEASILY my first choice!
I watched this out of curiosity to compare it to my last two trucks an '10 and '15 GMC and was pleasantly surprised by the capabilities and pricing. Do people really care about moon roofs when purchasing a pick up truck? When it comes down to it, I don't think I could pull the trigger and ever buy anything but a domestic truck but it is nice to see the increase in competition from the Big Three's competition. Just out of curiosity, in the approx. last 10 years since starting my business I have bought and owned from '06''-'16 three GMC 3500's and three GMC 1500's. The only truck I have had any MECHANICAL problems with and not misc. (hitch recall, windshield leak recall, gauge cluster bulbs, etc.) is my '05 Ford 3500 XLT with the v10. I live on Cape Cod, MA in the North East doing masonry (mbmasonry.net) so they are susceptible to rust and wear but it is always something with her. Leaking/rotted out gas tank, warped exhaust manifold, pretty bad body rot, muffler vibrated it's insides out of itself, door gaskets falling off. Mind you, I bought her with 23k miles and I believe she just hit approx. 40k....... So, this is my first time requesting a consensus from RUclips but before she implodes while exploding as I round a corner does anyone have any experience with the new Ford/Dodge/GMC 3500's (DUALLIES/DUMP TRUCKS) and feel good about a particular make? You don't see them too often where I live but I like the look of the duallie DODGE 3500's. P.S. Great video revies KBB!
Nissan build their cars and pick ups in the US of A. Honda and Acura has multiple factories on American soil like Alabama, Ohio, and Indiana. Toyota has been employing Americans to make cars in TEXAS too. Meanwhile, Chevrolet is closing factories across the country and sending sending jobs to Mexico and China just like Tesla
First thing I noticed was how tall Zach Vlasuk is.. 6 ft 5? taller? Not exactly sure. Maybe it's just that mine was raised and that one isnt. I don't know, lol. We were debating a 2017 version, but decided against it. We went with the 2016 Nissan Titan Platinum. We love it, but it only has inches to spare in front and in back of the truck, so you could say it's a *tight* fit, lol
By the way, the upgraded sound system is sooooo good. The bass is amazing and the treble is equally so, they couldn't of done a better job! We got ours with a 15 grand discount.
I also find that the difference between the 2016 and 2017 is close to none. Drives the same, same capabilities for the most part, same paint jobs, addons, crewcab (what we have) and we have the blue version, I don't remember the color and I don't feel like going into the truck to get the window sticker, haha! (also the extendable mirrors are awesome for trailers)
I own a 2017 Titan for the past 10 months. It’s been in the shop twice already and getting ready to go back. Recall on the seat or seat belt, I have to check again, also back up camera is not working properly. It makes noises inside the cab from the back seats and the dash. Cheap material was add inside. Rear brakes make a lot noise while you drive or stopping. I’m done with it.
So why isn't this a good stray from GM, Ford and Ram? Why no? The question really is....why aren't GM, Ford and Ram as reliable as this Nissan. Just a tiny bit of bias,,,eh?
I just bought a 18 Titan. Really nice truck and got a great deal. I've owned Fords and GMC's. I usually run my trucks into ground. I had tons of issues with GM. Had to replace auto ride system @ 100k. @ 160k oil pump went out. Tons of electrical problems. List goes on... The Ford was good but I sold it @ 90k. Needed extra space for the kids. People are loyal to their brands. Its like politics.
Looks like Nissan walked up to a super duty and said "let's copy every single thing down to the headlight design and call it a new titan so we can have a tough looking 1/2 ton"
I'll take my 2021 Titan Pro 4X over any of the big 3 garbage and 10 years down the road my Titan will be working fine while guaranteed the big 3 will have been in the shop numerous times, how do I know because I've own all the big 3 and their build quality is absolute crap.
I own a 2017 ford F-250 XLT with a gas V8 I just bought a new Nissan Titan XD regular cab diesel and I absolutely love the truck I do construction and I needed a diesel truck my boss recommend this truck
OK, can we please stop doing this: "in back-to-back comparison, RAM 1500 and Ford F-150 exhibited a bit more composure..." Which RAM and which F-150? Enough of the apples to oranges comparisons.
WArning... test drive it speeds 60-75 if it vibrates DO NOT buy !!!! Nissan won’t fix say it’s “normal” within specs. They don’t know how to fix . Google it or search RUclips . Some of them do it some don’t . Don’t buy one that has it !!!!
I had one of the vibration ones and I kept telling them at 10000 miles tranny started leaking fluid. They told me that nothing was wrong with the truck 🤔
The XD starts at 38k? There are 4x4AWD Chevy, Ram and Ford HD/SD ext cabs selling for that amount! Sure you may be able to get a loaded model, with the smaller Cummins Diesel, in a XD for less than a loaded Chevy, Ram or Ford, but when you look at the levels of equipment, but especially the levels of capabilities compared to the Chevy,Ram and Ford trucks, you will get what you paid for! With very little penalties in operating expenses
I had diesel exhaust coming in from the hvac in my Nissan Titan and it almost killed me. I was bedridden for almost 3 months with a bunch respiratory track infections. Even though I have my medical records that state that it's likely that I got these infections from exposure to diesel exhaust fumes and for the fact that Nissan has made this public with a service memo with a code NTB16056... Because I gave the truck up before this fix became public they are fighting me in court trying to deny that anything happened. Even though I have several work orders for attempts from the service department to fix the problem including replacing the back window completely because of a leak and installing an after-market Muffler that extends past the truck's bed and then wrapping that new muffler with foil tape... how professional does that seem to you to have a 70 or $80,000 truck wrapped with foil tape because of service department doesn't know how to fix an exhaust leak?. be careful with the scumbags! Don't buy Nissan
I dunno why but Nissan just doesn't seem to hit the right notes when it comes to styling. IMHO the Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra just look more butch and tough.
Oh Zach, Zach, Zach, your latent cynicism aside ("rather than pospose the answer to that question till the end . . . no") the professional in you shone thru, great review of a vehicle you obviously would rather have Micah review (my opinon unsubstantiated by anything shown) sigh, better luck next time (La Costa Canyon High???)
I purchased 2017 Nissan titan pro4x, they it’s like a f150. No it does not not match the Ford. I started having problems within 3 years. I went through 3 fuel pumps. 1 high pump fuel pump. That’s another 3000$ spent on the damn truck. This piece vehicle is over rated. I don’t recommend the this piece of toy. And the trade in value is nothing. So forget it of running with the big boys, Ford, Chevy etc.
The Titan is an awesome truck. I spent years selling and driving Rams but I would definitely give this truck a shot. Everyone has tried to copy that utili-trak system but Nissan still has the best.
Underrated truck :/
5 year/100k is a strong selling point i sat in the regular titan at the Houston Auto show and it felt great. Sadly didn't get to test drive it, i got to test drive the maxima platinum and it was beautiful.

6 years later, how was it overall. Thinkin about one before they are gone.
Chevy and Ram are imports made in Mexico--Titan is designed and made in USA....
Rams are ALSO made in the U.S. same goes for Chevy...
And... several components (such as transmission) are imported from Japan.
@@danr3545 Dude Chevy makes like 2 things in the USA, and by the end of 2019, everything of theirs will be completely imported to the USA
Every 5.7 Hemi is made in Mexico
Random Channel it’s all about profits. Nissan and Toyota might make a few of their vehicles in the US, but 70% of their profits go back to Japan. Even the Japanese have more pride than you douchebags - they believe in buying their own. I wish you guys could be just as patriotic
These Titans are growing on me. It reminded me of the Ford, but now that I see them more often, it stands out.
I LOVE that these reviews aren't too serious. The water bottle out the window got me. 😂😂
When they 1st came out in 05 they were amazing and still is !
Miguel Ircontar, my 05 is still going strong. Thinking about replacing in for the 2018.
I test drove a Titan SV recently. I liked it better than my Tundra. Although my 6'4" frame seems to be the most comfortable in a RAM 1500.
Just got my 2017 Titan Tuesday. Live af. The power and get up it has is foreal!
im from the uk not looking to buy a truck but when it comes to doing reviews this is one of the best ive seen straight into facts informative and entertaining...great job!!!!!!
i love mine! I was and still am a ford guy but this truck stood out to me.
What made you choose a Japanese Nissan instead of the Ford?
You mean Mexican Ford
F-150 is american made in deerborne... you mean mexican chevy.
Dark Knight It was designed in america and built by american workers... its just as american as ford or chevy.
Dustin dees ford has parts made in mexico. i have replace a few parts on my 2011 that said made in mexico.
This is a beautiful truck. I drove the XD Pro4x with the Diesel. well built, nice interior. The only thing I have a bit of difficulty with is I think Nissan missed the mark on the front end. Other than that, it was a nice riding, well mannered best in class truck.

Great job Zach and crew
Wow! The Titian looks pretty impressive.
Yeah the pro 4x looks handsome and it's a titan. They usually look ugly the pro is decent looking
***** Exactly
I love my 2018 Titan SV 5.6 V8....Its loaded with only the features I want and care to pay for. It is a beast and very comfortable on a road trip. Only full size truck with Zero Gravity Seats. They will save your back!
Uncle has one. Says its beyond amazing :)
We use f150s at work and they suck, turning radius is garbage and drives to loose, titan is a way better truck
Led Zep I agree, we have F-150's at work too,and they suck! the boss drives a Titan... #jealous
Titans have even worse turning radiuses
Really? I was quite unimpressed by the titans handling. I guess it's what you like to each his own.
I really like my titan I was always a Ford guy but not anymore this truck will go wherever ford chevy dodge or Toyota will go
Being refreshed already. Wait if you want one.
I got one and absolutely love it!
My 2017 Nissan Titan XD has the 5.0 Cummins Engine made by Americans in America. I own one an absolutely love it. I owned the 2006 Titan Prox4 before that. Sold as soon as I saw the column shifter. I miss those
Currently the Titan is superior compared to the Tundra in crash tests, check it out
Been waitin for the review for this sexy beast.
I'm digging this (pro4x) or the tundra
It looks decent. We will see how far of an inroad it makes into other manufacturer's markets, especially the Tundras and F150 and Dodge 1500's.....etc . As for the turning radius, you said it would make the Titanic smile ...... but I guess that's why it's a TITAN-IC .....ged it!

By the way guys, awesome reviews as usual!
Why do they call it an import when it is Manufactured in Canton Mississippi? and engine in Tennessee?
MY DREAM TRUCK!!!
18mpg! My Frontier barely gets 16.5mpg on the high way. The Tundras as work average 12.5mpg.
Ouch!
KBB is the best
The best cars.i love Nissan Titan

I kinda want this truck even though I’m a ford and Toyota fan.
Nice truck most definitely will give it some consideration for my next purchase 👍🔧🔧

Did he leave kbb?
Nissan build their cars and pick ups in the US of A. Honda and Acura has multiple factories on American soil like Alabama, Ohio, and Indiana. Toyota has been employing Americans to make cars in TEXAS too. Meanwhile, Chevrolet is closing factories across the country and sending sending jobs to Mexico and China just like Tesla
I'm all in support for things in United States, but I would go with reliable.
LSV have to go Japanese if you want reliable. It's a darned shame.
Nissans are very unreliable
In my experience, you either get a rock or a lemon with Nissan. Most have been rocks, some lemons.
Heartagram new nissans are junk they aren't what they used to be
Nissan still being reliable.
The only stuff with troubles was the first gen of CVTs
The water bottle being thrown out of the rear window, was so unexpected and for some reason got my so hard!!!!
can you do the new bmw 5
If it tows up to a lot can it tow a plane?
Yes
sliding rear window had me sold once i saw the water bottle fly through it
So why isn't this a good stray from GM, Ford and Ram?
Moon Roof! Who Gives a RAT 's ASS about a Moon ROOF. Own 2017 Pro 4X . LOVE IT!
Looks like Nissan walked up to a super duty and said "let's copy every single thing down to the headlight design and call it a new titan so we can have a tough looking 1/2 ton"
Looks like you don't have a clue. 😂🤣😂🤣👌
Bummer these were plagued with engine failure
Some had knocking issues that Nissan repaired. Not a failure per se.
The Cummins diesel was the real failure.
No short beds
TRUCKS. YEAH.
I'll take my 2021 Titan Pro 4X over any of the big 3 garbage and 10 years down the road my Titan will be working fine while guaranteed the big 3 will have been in the shop numerous times, how do I know because I've own all the big 3 and their build quality is absolute crap.
it's a nice truck but I think I'll stick with my silverado
Please do. I wouldn't want to be driving a truck everyone else is. Drops mic...
@@bc_usa Idk man, the Titan is the worst-selling pickup truck in America for a reason...
I own a 2017 ford F-250 XLT with a gas V8 I just bought a new Nissan Titan XD regular cab diesel and I absolutely love the truck I do construction and I needed a diesel truck my boss recommend this truck
Is a nice truck
OK, can we please stop doing this: "in back-to-back comparison, RAM 1500 and Ford F-150 exhibited a bit more composure..." Which RAM and which F-150? Enough of the apples to oranges comparisons.
The all-new Nissan Tundra F150-2500.
Funny..................
lol that random water bottle out the back window
WArning... test drive it speeds 60-75 if it vibrates DO NOT buy !!!!
The best Titan hd
I like Quality ....not shit garbage you buy new and start having all sorts of problems with...I'll grab the Nissan
As long as it's not a Nissan car.
Not really an import.
I dunno why but Nissan just doesn't seem to hit the right notes when it comes to styling. IMHO the Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra just look more butch and tough.
It's person taste. I think Ford and Chevy are plain looking. No personality. Nissan and Toyota looks much better.
Dude is drive a Pro-4X!!! No duh it's more rough
A titan omg
Oh Zach, Zach, Zach, your latent cynicism aside ("rather than pospose the answer to that question till the end . . . no") the professional in you shone thru, great review of a vehicle you obviously would rather have Micah review (my opinon unsubstantiated by anything shown) sigh, better luck next time (La Costa Canyon High???)
that's postpone (damn predictive type interference)
this giy is a dragggg
Dem Big Japanese Kawaii Eyes tho
Ash Ram thinking the same thing
I purchased 2017 Nissan titan pro4x, they it’s like a f150. No it does not not match the Ford. I started having problems within 3 years. I went through 3 fuel pumps. 1 high pump fuel pump. That’s another 3000$ spent on the damn truck. This piece vehicle is over rated. I don’t recommend the this piece of toy. And the trade in value is nothing. So forget it of running with the big boys, Ford, Chevy etc.
Probably has a CVT hahaha jkjkjk
Paul Nguyen 6 speed automatic and 7 speed automatic

wow! love it! so glad ford brought back the 2009 F150!
Justin Bouche thats what i was saying
Meh.
Nissan, not Neesaan.
Looks horrible
That Truck sucks
Yeah..well so do you buddy!
Noooo! Not the smart water.
Nissan, Honda, and toyota's trucks suck. Their best trucks can barely tow up to 10,000lbs. Only Ford, ram, chevy, and gmc have good trucks
It's a ugly fucking piece of fucking shit. Nobody in their right fucking mind is going to get a Nissan whatever lol. Nice review gay boi
