    I own a '14 Ram Express with a Rambox and I would not say it takes up alot space in the bed. Ram engineers utilize the space above and around the tire well. I believe it is the best use of space in this area. I have mine packed with tools, receiver hitches, racket straps and anything else I can find. This stuff in the past would be rolling around in the bed or cluttering up the back seat. I love my Rambox! They also lock/unlock with the doors with the key fob

    • @dbbrazel
      @dbbrazel 8 лет назад +3

      True if I didn't want to haul bikes in the back plus a crossbody box is difficult to get stuff out of the center whereas sidebody is not.

    I bought a 2016 ram 3.6 1500 big horn, crew cab 4x4 for $34,500.00 msrp was $45,600.00 great trucK! have over 15,000 miles on it and change oil only once at 8000 miles and am at 11% before the next oil change. the over heating problem was solved with the 3.6 liter shutters opening when it hot outside instead of shutting to save fuel economy. If your old truck over heats its because the front grill shutters a staying closed when its hot at 60mph to save fuel economy. The new truck stay open when they get hot instead of shutting to save fuel. It has plenty of power and I can honestly say its kinda fast. the 8 speed trans works way better than I expected,(surprised the hell out of me how smooth it is) even on crew control the tranny will break to keep speed perfectly. Best breaks ever and the handling is top very precise. Its just a well designed truck and everything works with each other to make this a nice ride. I get 17mpg in town and 20mpg on freeway. I have a lead foot and don't think of fuel economy while driving. I have bought two chevy Colorado one with the 3.5liter crew and one with the 3.7liter crew 4x4 and they are both slower than my 3.6 ram 1500 crew 4x4 and get the same fuel economy. I looked at ford f150 and chevy 1500 and the chevy was $37,000.00 with 20% off select models that equaled my ram in goodies and ford was $43,000.00 for same truck with a little bit of rebates. The chevy to me was smaller inside and looked way to fancy for my business bid truck. the ford guys wouldn't lower there price and it also looked to fancy for a bid rig. Hope this helps. I drive 50,000 miles a year bidding for my concrete company and I will put reviews of this truck up every so often

    Just bought my 16 ram lone star. Coming from a 09 Lexus es350, I love it. Much more spacious especially in the rear seats. Although I’ll be missing the leather seats , wood grain steering wheel , heated and cooled seats , and adaptive lighting. I’m gaining remote start , Bluetooth phone connectivity with messages being read ( had to use aux on Lexus ) and a much much better sound quality. Not to mention the hemi 5.7 over Toyotas 3.5 v6 ( great engine btw) I’m really happy with the purchase.

    For 30 years? They sell WAY more Rams than they did back in 85. And most of them were Ford and Chevy buyers. Even with Toy and Nis joining the fray, Ram sells WAY more trucks even as a percentage compared to the bigger market today. WAY more. From 80k In 93 to 350-450k nearly EVERY year since. Meanwhile Ford used to sell 800-900k in the early 2000s every year and now sells 650-750k the past 5 years...

    as an european, I still don't see the need to have a pick up, unless you are a construction worker. Also why would anyone want a pick up with leather seats? for 50000 dollars get yourself a Acura MDX or something like that

      Duarte Castelo Branco Less stringent regulations all around in the US means more DIY'ers for building & fixing things around the house, bringing back heaps of concrete and lumber from your local hardware shop. Loading up ATVs and motorcycles is more convenient /w a pickup vs. towing a small trailer /w a SUV. Maybe if you move often, you can just use your own vehicle instead of going through the hassle of renting a moving truck.
      Most significantly though, for many buyers the pickup truck has more to do /w the tough do-anything go-anywhere blue-collar image than anything else. And once you buy one for that, you find ways to use it to live up to your own image. And the cycle continues and pickups sell in the US.

      Because Americans work with their hands, instead of sipping coffee in cafes complaining why Americans drive trucks

      That's got little or nothing to do with you being european, because there are in fact europeans who do own trucks and see the need for them. Most likely you don't see the need for them because you specifically don't have a need for them and don't know anyone who does.
      Though there are definitely americans who don't need them either.

      some people need then here, very few. And they are as basic as they can get. 2.5 liter diesel engines and maybe A/C. few people use them as everyday cars, they are like vans
