Best thing about a Titan is the lack of electronics in the engine. No cylinder shutoffs, no turbos. Just a simple V8 that gives CONSISTENCY in fuel economy and power. Oh, and less to break/ malfunction. Better skid pad results than pretty much any other full-size (.75 on the crew-cab 4x4) and hydraulic power steering instead of electric power steering gives better reliability and "road feel" for drivers.
@M M No diesel on the Titan. Titan XD has a good diesel. I ended up NOT buying a Titan for the simple reason that Nissan REFUSES to allow Midnight Editions to me produced with the tow package. They act like people who buy a 4x4 Crew Midnight won't have a need to tow anything. Also, Nissan USA customer service is HORRIBLE, actually worse than Chrysler FCA if you can believe that.
That's what I like about the tundra, but even better because it doesn't have direct injection or active torque management like the big 3 and nissan have. I have a titan xd platinum reserve and love it. Unlike the powerstroke or duramax it's simple under the hood and everything is easy to get to if you need a repair. I feel sorry for peoole with a powerstroke once the warranty is up the labor is ridiculous on those things and often the entire cab has to be removed to work on it. Go to any ford dealer and you're bound to see a super duty with the can taken off. My brother has a titan pro4x half ton with the luxury package and he loves it. He was going to get a Tundra after cross shopping the f150 but drove the titan and liked it better. For a half ton I'd still get a Tundra for the reliability and resale value it holds, but I really like the titan as well.

My Ford f250 has left me stranded and broke more times than i can count and i won't touch on my Chevy Silverado.....i will be purchasing a Titan as a result. My dad has had the same frontier, running strong, while i fussed with the 'reliable' big 3.
I just traded my 16 Ram 1500 4x4 (loaded with issues) for a 19 Titan SV 4x4 and I love it. My 2010 Titan was great also. Never had an issue. My experiment with Chrysler didn't work out and I have been a Mopar guy my entire life.

American trucks are more reliable.... That is if they are Toyota's or Nissan's built in the USA....I had a 2003 Frontier. Built in Tenn. Used it for 17 years, and just upgraded to a 2017 Nissan Titan Extended cab. It's a CPO, and has a long warranty. Great truck so far. And, it is truely American, built in Miss.
I think you should check your facts my friend. My ford, dodge and chevy are gone and had many problems. My honda and Toyota are still going and NO problems.
Lol that's why Chevy and Ford comes with 3yr/36k warranties cause they soo well made....I've owned them and the newer ford's and Chevys do not outlast foreign
The nice thing about all manufacturers, is that the competition makes for more reliable trucks. I don’t think anyone makes a better truck than the other. Every single manufacturer has their lemons. It’s what truck fits you best.
I've got a pro 4x. Last year nissan replaced the clutch fan assembly. 2 weeks ago I had some problems with the Ac blowing hot at an idle. So we took it back to nissan the hooked it up to the machine and told me it was the clutch fan assembly. But they couldn't replace it for free because I was 9 days over on my clutch fan assembly warranty they want 700 to replace it out of pocket
I'm starting to see these the road more beautiful truck wasn't fond of the rear end at first now it has grown on me. Only thing hope the reliability is better than average for this year still loving the Titan as other Nissan vehicles.
Simplemente con el hecho de que no se desbiele sin razón como las ram o las Chevy, o que no dé tanta lata como los 5.4 o los EcoBoost de Ford, para mí es una mejor opción......
I own a 2017 Titan for the past 10 months. It’s been in the shop twice already and getting ready to go back. Saying American trucks rule the market because they build more reliable, more performance trucks in all kinds of variety is wrong. They dominate the market because they churn out more units than the Japanese, sell them to biased government agencies that want domestic only as a buying rule, offer zero percent interest rates. Toyota for one builds a far superior truck that anything domestic makes in the 1500 class. If they brought their diesel engines to our market the big 3 would lose share so fast they would be petitioning the government to stop them from making them just like they did when the T100/Tundra came out. If the Japanese wanted to over-saturate the market with their trucks and sell them at a loss like the big 3 do they would be a serious trouble. Domestic trucks are dumpster fires. All you need to look at is resale value to determine what truck is best. Jay Man, certainly. Nissan really wants this truck to work. If it's not selling they have to prime the well with some juicy incentives. The truck market is about as competitive as the midsized sedan. Nissan will have to be aggressive to carve out their niche.
Funny thing is ihave an F350 and a titan xd and the titans voice command is way better in every way. Making a call is much easier by voice than my 18 f350 by a long shot.
Rob Grune you should look at the turbo setup that (in tow mode) effectively acts as an exhaust brake. Unless you own an xd or actually towed with it you would know that it works-really well. Par for the course, an opinion from someone that doesn't own one. I was hesitant at first but tow mode works well.
I got an xd because the 3/4 tons in lower trims were way more than my platinum reserve, and I didn't necessarily need a full blown 3/4 ton but wanted more capability than a half ton without the punishing ride of a 3/4 ton. The titan xd fit the bill perfectly. I almost didn't even look at it. Glad I did because I'm very happy with it.
Big 3 more reliable??? Lol Titan is far better in reliability then those 3. I've owned all of the big 3 trucks and ALL crapped out one way or another but my old Titan just kept going. Fancy gadgets dont make a truck and will guarantee to break. Titans needs to market these trucks instead of being silent on them.
I have own one for 4 months.. It was not my 1st choice but the dealer took my rebuilt jeep from what i paid and gave me the 2017 Platinum RESERVE for 32k.. OVERALL i am happy but yes its NOT AS NICE A THE FORD KING... And technology in the DODGE to me is bettwe. You would think nissan would be better.. the 2017s come with 5 year 100k BUMP TO BUMPER so if u buy a used one like I DID this is a great deal.. OVerall if the price was 1-2k more i would get the KING RANCH, but to save 5-7k and have 100k mile warrenty BUMPER TO BUMPER- NISSAN
I paid 32k +tt for a 2017 plantium wit 18k miles... look for a used one and remember you get the balance of the warrenty BUMP TO BUMPER 100k miles or 5years- I am very happy with mine, however if prices were the same i would get the kingranch or dodge.. Now i put Nissan in the same boat as the CHEVY when it comes to terms of looks
Oh wow this dude is on microwave fumes, Japaneses vehicles are wayy more reliable than American made, any one knows that, all you need to do is ask mechanics, here's what I been told by mechanics, with a Japanes vehicle you can go 200 g miles with no problems, with an American at 100 g miles your going to start having problems, he's exact words, also commercial vehicles the least liked by contractors are the Fords from having so many problems, everything is made cheap on them, I don't know what this dude is doing, but hes way off reality lol
You’ve been told that Japanese cars except Nissan and Mitsubishi are reliable Nissan is so “reliable” that they exited the commercial vehicle market whereas “unreliable” Ford still is the market leader in the commercial vehicle segment
@@joskjj3625 I never been told that sir, but who ever is telling you that is lying to you, Nissan hasn't exited the commercial market!! last I check a week ago they have several cargo vans for sale at the dealer, only contractors who cant afford a better vehicle will buy ford, because they are cheaper ask any contractor some have told me I'll never buy another ford, another thing I was told by a transmissions shop was ford has the tendency to make many engine parts of plastic, I'm not sure what she refer to but I imagine must be parts that are most of the time metal or something stronger than plastic, everything I'm telling you I been told by actual people contractors, shop owners, I don't lie sir. Ford is the leader of people that don't know the history of ford.
@@joeul7 it’s funny you think Nissan is more “reliable” than Ford just because it’s Japanese how gullible are you, now I know why Nissan hasn’t collapsed yet again because gullible kids like you who thinks Japanese = excellence keep on buying them, they might still have it for sale but Nissan already discontinued the Nissan nv van and is soon going to discontinue the nv200, have fun with your “reliable” Nissan, what a joke Nissans are far cheaper than fords because Nissans are poorly built over glorified Renault trash, it’s the poor mans Toyota
@@joeul7 I was gullible like you once and I believed anything Japanese was meant to be high quality, I was so wrong my Nissan made in Japan had blown its transmissions at less than 50,000 miles and the engine burnt so much oil and the vehicle was an electrical nightmare Everyone I know who had a Nissan had many problems and never bought another Nissan again all range from engine problems, transmissions, electrical issues and poor build quality,my uncles three year old rogue was leaking water from the moonroof and you say Nissan is reliable? I know at least 100 people who had junk Nissans and they vowed to never buy their junk again,Nissan is for people who still believe that being Japanese is going to be “reliable” for a cheap price and let’s not forget about their former corrupt ceo yeah that really tells the world that Nissan is “good” they make junk If you want a reliable Japanese car brand you get Toyota,Honda,Mazda and maybe Subaru.Nissan and Mitsubishi are low quality garbage that deserves to go bust, even Hyundai and Kia make better cars than Nissan
@@joskjj3625 Gullible? sir is not what I think! is what it is, you seem like a frustrated angry man, I told you what mechanics say, ask them your self they work on vehicles everyday, but I bet you wont, and your basis is what? because they might discontinue the, nv200 thats the smallest one, don't know about the nv200, but I know about the 2500, and I been inside fords, and driven fords, and spoken to several contractors who drove fords none are happy about it, but like you said sir good luck with your ford, and your frequent service visits, that's what ford designs them for service visits.
Just went and drove one. Loud and felt cheap. Price is insane! Ofcourse they wanted my F150 for nothing. Keeping my Ford until it won't go anymore. Glad I got that out of my system.
Andyana Outdoors my 17 pro 4x feels much more put together than my old ram. I put a dual exhaust to satisfy my inner 13 yo but I find it quiet and a smoother ride. Price is more to do with the dealership. Trucks hold value and they’ll make money no matter what. My dealer gave me exactly what I wanted for my 14 ram. Go try a different dealership or rock it til the wheels fall off like you said. Both are sound ideals. I wanted to buy American too but they are made in America so....My only complaint is I can’t tow more than 10k pounds. So I’m a little limited on what type of camper I can tow but I can make it work.
I just bought a 2017 Titan and it was cheaper than I could buy the Toyota, Ford, Chevy and Dodge for. On paper the other truck brands may seem cheaper, but after much research, you'll save thousands on your Nissan and I love my truck.
Nissan’s option selection is TERRIBLE! To get some options, you MUST select other options which push the price WAYYYY higher. Sorry Nissan, I went with a F-150 due to the inability to get what I what I needed WITHOUT a bunch of unwanted crap.

00:58 this nigga just said domestics are more reliable?
My Titan has been rock solid. My Chevy and my ford had HORRIBLE reliability.
Your hair is unpopular.
why are you reviewing this truck if you don't even know what the hell you are talking about? A tundra can tow more with a damn 5.7 gas V8
Big 3 more reliable??? Lol
Titan is far better in reliability then those 3.
I've owned all of the big 3 trucks and ALL crapped out one way or another but my old Titan just kept going.
Fancy gadgets dont make a truck and will guarantee to break.
Titans needs to market these trucks instead of being silent on them.
Nissan more reliable than the big three?
How much do Nissan employees make because I want to join
Car gurus bank rolled this shoot-from the-hip presentation?
Is he high af, domestic truck reliable really 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
This guy is blind if he thinks the big 3 have a better interior than this. Lol
Seats are class leading. Nissan Zero gravity seats. They bought the seat tech from NASA.
I think you’re the blind one here. RAM, Ford and GM interiors shit all over this.
Lol the big three interiors urinate on Nissan aka Renault’s interior
Japanese cars and trucks ar better and reliable
Toyota’s,Honda’s and Mazda’s are reliable
Not Nissan or Mitsubishi
If i had his hair I'd be a hater too..
Someone is really biased about American trucks
Nice until I saw the interior
About out to Canton MS
Who is this lady? She’s hot.
If you think that, then you should check out Sarah-n-Tuned!
You’ve been told that Japanese cars except Nissan and Mitsubishi are reliable
Nissan is so “reliable” that they exited the commercial vehicle market whereas “unreliable” Ford still is the market leader in the commercial vehicle segment
@@joeul7 it’s funny you think Nissan is more “reliable” than Ford just because it’s Japanese how gullible are you, now I know why Nissan hasn’t collapsed yet again because gullible kids like you who thinks Japanese = excellence keep on buying them, they might still have it for sale but Nissan already discontinued the Nissan nv van and is soon going to discontinue the nv200, have fun with your “reliable” Nissan, what a joke
Nissans are far cheaper than fords because Nissans are poorly built over glorified Renault trash, it’s the poor mans Toyota
@@joeul7 I was gullible like you once and I believed anything Japanese was meant to be high quality, I was so wrong my Nissan made in Japan had blown its transmissions at less than 50,000 miles and the engine burnt so much oil and the vehicle was an electrical nightmare
Everyone I know who had a Nissan had many problems and never bought another Nissan again all range from engine problems, transmissions, electrical issues and poor build quality,my uncles three year old rogue was leaking water from the moonroof and you say Nissan is reliable? I know at least 100 people who had junk Nissans and they vowed to never buy their junk again,Nissan is for people who still believe that being Japanese is going to be “reliable” for a cheap price and let’s not forget about their former corrupt ceo yeah that really tells the world that Nissan is “good” they make junk
If you want a reliable Japanese car brand you get Toyota,Honda,Mazda and maybe Subaru.Nissan and Mitsubishi are low quality garbage that deserves to go bust, even Hyundai and Kia make better cars than Nissan
I see ram bumper 😁😁
Japanese makes most reliable cars in the world.
What a nerd dudes hair is a foot off his head reminds me of beaker from the muppets
Is that a wig?
Here's a 2018 Titan Review: ruclips.net/video/46gFwwHgjUo/видео.html
Dude has a foot of hair on his head. Can't take him Serious.
Not better, not cheaper, why buy Nissan?
Yue Lu why not?
5 year 100k warranty
I just bought a 2017 Titan and it was cheaper than I could buy the Toyota, Ford, Chevy and Dodge for. On paper the other truck brands may seem cheaper, but after much research, you'll save thousands on your Nissan and I love my truck.
@@terrysmith1382 Nissan is cheaper because it’s low quality garbage
One word: haircut
Nissan’s option selection is TERRIBLE! To get some options, you MUST select other options which push the price WAYYYY higher. Sorry Nissan, I went with a F-150 due to the inability to get what I what I needed WITHOUT a bunch of unwanted crap.
The new Titan looks like crap!! It’s I rather drive the older Titan instead of the ugly looking thing. No wonder you don’t see any on the street...butt ugly!!
I don't usually comment on videos but I'm not listening to anyone who wears dad shoes and says demostic trucks are more reliable LOL! Please take the word "Gurus" out of your name 😂
💪
Lol, a Chevy Montana can haul more. XD
love the 09 F150, glad they brought it back!
Looks horrible
It looks like an F150 with Down Syndrome.
Some things you just can’t touch. That’s one of those.
Looks horrible
