    I don't care too much about driver assistance tech. Anyone who needs those should stay off their phones while driving and or go back to driving school. Reviewers keep complaining about all these features like driver assistance tech and apple car play and android auto. These are more reasons why car manufacturers will charge $3000 for an infotainment system plus $2500 for driver assistance tech when we should be using our own human instinct and pay attention. A good map graphics and decent radio is all the essentials we need. We focus more on the wants than our needs then complain about skyrocketing prices. You already spend $800 on a new smartphone and want it in your cars again? Just bluetooth your phone and use your phone's map which is usually better than vehicle's gps maps anyways.

      I agree but the sad part is despite those automated features like blindspot monitoring people still drive like crap. I was cut off by a BMW 5 Series and the funny thing is I could see the triangle light in the mirror of the BMW lighting up but the driver couldn't lol.

    • @J-W.-
      @J-W.- 7 лет назад +4

      I use to it said that just like you, but i bought a brand new car and it came with the blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert, i was like i dont need this to drive(and its still true) but i cant ignore the fact that blind spot monitoring actaully saved me a few times, as small as my car theres huge blind spots and also when a car is speeding up to me really fast on the side the mirror will light up when they are wayyyyyy back just to warn me they are coming up.

      I was just at Nissan dealership a couple days ago and the sales guy said the new Frontier is coming for 2019. I still love the current Frontier. It hasn't gotten too big and too expensive like the newer midsize competition, plus it's still just as capable as them and offers more torque. To be honest, nissan always does this. They put something good together and keep half of their old dated crap in it. I do know some people personally that have had titans and drove the piss out of them without issues, reassuring they are reliable and work well, but they are boring. I actually am interested in a pro4x but I think buying one of these a year old with low miles will be a really good deal with the warranty and price should be much more appropriate.

Mine has the luxury package that gives it all the options of the Reserve, Good thing I dont rely on internet meatheads when Im deciding on buying a vehicle. Ive had nothing but compliments and positive feedback from the countless people that ask me about the truck.This thing is a beast ..lots of power and torque with a great exhaust tone. So to be honest, I like the LOOK of the truck. I capitalized that because that's where my love for this thing ends. I have a 2011 Toyota tundra and on the inside, it still tops the interior of this titan (And Toyota interiors are seriously outdated) It too has no safety features. To be honest though I'd give this truck a shot. Sure it's hard to compete against companies like Ram, Ford and GM, but it seems to be a worthy contender. As for now, I'm hoping to get my hands on an F150, im seriously just in love with ford interiors and that sync is flawless. Either way, good job Nissan! You are slowly inching closer to the premium division and moving out of cheap rental car territory. Word of advice: kill the infitini line and do like Honda, focus on your CORE brand. I see Honda cutting out Acura someday. I truly do

      i agree with most of your thoughts. however your name suggest a passion for music that may mimic mine. with that said, the sound system in the f150 is garbage. I need them to address this, even the "premium" option by Sony just don't do it. Nissan offers a phosgate system and it sounds pretty damn good. much better than the ford and the bose in the gm trucks.

      lovemyfam why should they ace the Infiniti brand? They push performance and luxury through Infiniti and are getting more recognition in the world more like Lexus is. Infiniti will be another second great Japanese luxury Marque. As for Acura, I'm not sure what Honda is doing with it. It's more similar to what GM does with Buick. Acura is more of a premium brand rather than a luxury brand.

    Honestly, the head units in a lot of vehicles have so many problems, My Qashqai is very picky about which bluetooth on which phone its going to work with. Being able to change it out with a pioneer head unit would be nice, but these dash integrated head units make things so difficult. No standard connectors for steering wheel control also means you need a harness adapter wired in so your new stereo can talk to your cars original electronics.
    I find these integrated styled head units a problem and unnecessarily difficult to replace.

    At the least Nissan was smart and didn't put their CVT transmission in this Titan. I hate the hard on that manufacturers have now for CVT units. My Mom's Sentra has it and it makes sense for a run of the mill compact car because it allows the engine to rev low on the highway but that rubber banding feel of it is just weird.

      Luis Sanchez and a Hyundai is still a Hyundai. They cost way more now to then most Hondas and Nissans. Hell, even Genesis skyrocketed in price. Its a nice car, but you're paying like 60k(for a G80) for..a glorified hyundai.

      Well, I haven't looking into the Hyundai's and their prices. Ive only seen a few commercials where they compared one of their cars to a Nissan. Not a fan of either. Ive mostly stuck with the 3 main I've known since a kid. (Honda, Nissan, Toyota)

    I would NOT recommend buying a Nissan Titan. They still have a lot of issues to work out as it is a fairly new truck.
    1. It is rated below average in residual value from ALG.
    2. It is rated below average in performance from J.D. Power.
    3. It is ranked among the worst values by consumer reports.
    4. I worked with someone who got one and it was a disaster. Almost right away he noticed an odd noise from the motor that slowly became loud enough to be annoying. He took the truck in 4 times and they were not able to do anything about it. Another issue he had was with the two strips in the bottom of the truck. They are places to position tie downs and can slide them back and fourth for best position. The problem is that dirt and gravel gets in them, gets stuck and makes them a pain in the butt to clean out. There were two places were those tracks got a slight bend in them from hauling heavy objects which meant the tie downs would not slide all the way. It is just a really bad design. Those tracks WILL get fouled up it is only a matter of time. Why they have not done away with them is goofy. The dependability is an issue with these trucks. After around 1 to 2 years small things begin breaking or going wrong with them. The center console design is nice, but the cheap thin plastic used in the Titan is VERY cheap. All other trucks center consoles are made better, thicker, tougher. Drive one for a week and you see pretty fast that the parts in the console are probably going to begin breaking fairly soon. It's just hard touch thin plastic. The beds in this truck are fairly small compared to the other trucks as well.

    The "Imports" have always had better choices by that I mean limiting all the if you get this model you get this but not this etc. Something I have always hated about the domestics. More choice does not make for better trucks or cars. I bought a new Titan am pretty happy with it, in the half ton segment. Why I picked it, was more power than the two trucks I was looking at Gm/Ford the locker on the Pro4x model. The ford rides harsh and didn't care for there lack luster interiors, the 5.0 is nice tho. the Gmc is better looking but it's low and was no fun to drive. The ride is fantastic. What I don't like, No Apple Car play/Android auto. A big fail here. Something I will replace when the warranty kicks out. Dislike the V8 logo on the fenders, but slowly growing on me as is the front. The Led's help. Though I think they could have done a bit better in the front fascia design, it is growing on me. The interior is quality and you can tell. I also don't like the "P" rated General Grabbers I got with it and was the first thing I turfed at delivery for an "E" rated tire. It improved the handling five fold. Plus's are the around view monitor (luxury package) the Auto window down, under seat storage in the rear. For me the sunroof wasn't a deal killer. It's nice but as I've got older the less I like the sun directly on me. Great all around truck.

    • @djayt1215
      @djayt1215 7 лет назад +1

      yeah the domestics have always had piss poor packages. I like the route toyota is going, by making safety features standard at every trim level.

    • @chadsteele1
      @chadsteele1 7 лет назад

      D Jay T I think Honda and Nissan have done so as well. As time progresses I see domestic loyalty way down, sure they still hold loyalty in their truck segment but are getting killed on small suvs and cars. I think as time passes and generations move along truck loyalty will soon fade.
