The best part here is that Homelander can check Stan's blood pressure and heart rate... This makes his disconcerting look even better since we know he knows that Stan doesn't fear him at all.
It is not just just a facade... Stan really owns the conversation from start to finish.

Butcher's packing hatred on a level that even Homelander can't match; there's no universe where Homelander would put himself in harm's way to destroy his enemies, whereas Butcher indirectly states in season 3 that he's willing to put humankind's existence on the line by going public with the airplane footage. He's down to wipe out our entire species for the personal gratification of tipping Homelander over the edge into fullblown insanity. I don't blame Homelander for being afraid of Butcher. My prediction for the broader arc of the next season(s): The Boys form a temporary alliance with Stan Edgar to bring Homelander down, pushing Homelander into full-blown psychosis that sees him finally shed all the bullshit heroic veneers and attempt to overthrow the government. When Homelander is finally defeated, it is revealed (either through an investigation by the Boys or through direct admission by the character himself) that Stan Edgar is actually Frederick Vought - granted shapeshifting powers akin to Doppelganger's after having injected himself with Compound V during the Payback days. This would, unsurprisingly, coincide with Edgar's rise to the top of the corporate hierarchy in the 1980s, which was referenced in the season 3 flashbacks.
Stormfront might've even hinted at this in season 2 with that line "Frederick had a solution for everything." While that could just be a twisted Final Solution reference, I think it goes deeper. I think Frederick's shadow is still looming over Vought Incorporated in a very literal sense. He was willing to give his wife V, why wouldn't he be willing to inject himself as well? It would also explain his complete disregard for Homelander. He was a high-ranking Nazi involved with Mengele-type human experimentation during the Holocaust. He is a ruthless, Machiavellian, and unfeeling sociopath to whom the ends will always justify the means. To him, Homelander is just a faulty experiment. Edgar even says as much by calling Homelander "bad product". With Stormfront incapacitated, Homelander can't be controlled any longer, so it's best to annihilate him and start fresh.
Also, mark my words, it's gonna be revealed that Stormfront was Homelander's biological mother. It perfectly fits Homelander's disgusting Oedipus complex, and Soldier Boy even talks about his fling with Stormfront (as Liberty) in the 1950s. No surprise Stormfront would suggest to Vought the idea of combining Soldier Boy's DNA with hers as part of their effort to create a new "ubermensch" lab-rat that would grow up to be Homelander.

If memory serves I believe Soldier boy already said that homelander was bred artificially "I beat my meat into a cup" so I dont see how the fling with Liberty has anything to do with it. But the rest is honestly pretty believable

@@cubalibre-5238 Well yeah, I was thinking it would be a fertilization in vitro type deal. The time frame also lines up perfectly. "Liberty" disappeared in the late 1970s after she murdered the black man shown in the season 2 flashback. Homelander was born shortly thereafter. I'm thinking Vought had her impregnated with Soldier Boy's sample while she was off the grid.

It sounds like you've put a lot of thought into your prediction for the next season(s) of "The Boys"! While I can't confirm or deny any specific details about upcoming plot developments in the show, I can say that your ideas are certainly creative and intriguing. "The Boys" has been known for its unexpected twists and turns, so your predictions could align with the show's style.
The show's creators have been known to take inspiration from the source material while also making significant changes to keep the story fresh for viewers who might already be familiar with the comic series. Given the complex and morally ambiguous nature of the characters and their relationships, your ideas about alliances, revelations, and character backgrounds could fit well within the existing narrative framework.
Remember that part of the fun of watching shows like "The Boys" is experiencing the unexpected. Even if your predictions don't come true exactly as you've outlined, the show's writers might take elements of your ideas and incorporate them into their storytelling.
Ultimately, whether your predictions turn out to be accurate or not, I hope you continue to enjoy watching the show and the surprises it has in store!

In "The Boys," Homelander thrives on instilling fear and asserting his dominance over others. When he encounters someone who does not fear him, it undermines his sense of control and superiority. This lack of fear can destabilize him psychologically, making it harder for him to act impulsively or violently. Additionally, such individuals often have a strong moral or ideological stance, which can make Homelander hesitate, as their unwavering confidence poses a challenge to his perceived invincibility. This dynamic creates a complex interplay between power, fear, and vulnerability.
