- While I was in church yesterday, the speaker said the most profound thing. He said "There are times when we feel like we are in a deep pitch black hole. Christ will not only put a ladder in the whole for you to climb up to Him but He will climb down that ladder. He will sit with you, ache with you, mourn with you, and cry with you. He will then put you on His shoulders, climb up that steep ladder and carry you out of that hole." We testify that our Savior, Jesus Christ, is there to carry you through the good and the bad. He loves you and is always there with you.
I LOVE the lyrics of this song! There are so many hidden gems in the lyrics like "I will carry you through your darkest nights, when you're terrified" or "You are not the sum of your mistakes... I choose you as you are a million times 'cause I am not afraid of you. I won't walk away from you."

Do not try to straddle the music industry's fence of Christian-themed music & outright secular music, as so many have done & are doing, is my advice to you.
The song? Beautifully sung! Delectable, as my little son would say! And the piano playing deserves as much commendation, for it was also splendid! Did you all feel it as much performing it as I felt it hearing it? The lyrics I surely can relate to, because, thanks be unto Christ Jesus the Almighty, He has been carrying me "through the darkest nights," etc. In fact, I felt Him so strongly -- & welling up of emotions of gratitude, etc, & a welling up of tears was my response -- as I listened to your version & it resounded in my soul.
I cannot imagine Elle would be less than highly impressed & touched by this performance of this song I presume she not only sings but wrote herself, written as if from God's perspective to His own.
