- Styrofoam + baking soda and super glue! amazing idea to connect pvc pipes of different sizes.
Have you ever tried combining styrofoam with baking soda and super glue? it's a great combination to make connections strong, especially to connect pvc pipes that are not the same size.
with these great ideas and using a combination of super glue with baking soda and foam it creates a completely new adhesive and is very strong, great for fixing your broken plastic.

I am using CA glue for more and more things all the time. Excellent ideas here. Thank you.
So how long does it last?
I tell you what I love about this type of vids: the sounds of speed-up sanding and hammering. 🎶

I want to unsubscribe everytime I see glue in the title but I am always amazed by what you can break to be able to fix it with glue hahaha!

Someone has shares in Super Glue LMAO 🤣
That wd40 used as a demoulder to make an instant threaded hole idea is fantastic, I don't know where but Im sure I will use it, I wonder what its strength limitations are.
Heli-coil!!
Hi, do u think this also work in carbon fiber?, I have a Roadbike, the seatpost clamp thread broken, and im planning to make a threas using this method..
@@Hi_J4 Depends on how often the thread gets used as I imagine it getting ground away and breaking down the thread pretty fast. Would also depend on how thick the thread is as well. I used it to hold some fishing line to a metal surface and in a few months the line started to tear out of the soda/glue mix partially. It is still working though and it did stick to the roughed up metal well also. The good thing is its cheap to try :)
Good ideas
I build new home with glue
Thanks
Awesome and can give DIY video creators a lot of ideas!

This is just super
For his next trick.....I'd like to see him make a section a paper from Correction Fluid!
I'd like to see him create super glue from something very cheap

Good Job
Superb
"Plast-Aid" works far better than CA Glue and Baking Soda, though.its powder is actually super fine plastic, and the liquid is just a solvant that only melts the plastic powder. You can even model with it by hand
Plast-Aid is great but doesn't work well with some plastics and also costs a LOT. Need to make a judgement call.
Super 👍 😎

Good joob mister
Which super glue is it? The number please.
ไอเดียดีครับ
I don’t know what kind of styrofoam he’s using, but I couldn’t get that to work.
Baking soda on the other hand works great!
That seem to same as ruler one
What do you mean? It's just ordinary styrofoam. I did the same thing with styrofoam + super glue to repair something once and it worked just fine.
Looks like Baking soda works better in the video.
I'm all outta baking soda so I'm hopin' this cocaine will work just as well.

superglue and gunpowder make a fun fire starter (you can mmake vid on this if you want.)
If you enjoy playing with glue, great, if you want to bolt something to timber, just use a coach screw in a pilot hole.
Definitely a super glue salesperson! lol.

Nice

What super glue do you use that gives of smoke fumes? Looks strong.
It's because of the reaction between the superglue and the baking soda which is highly exothermic.
It's really cocaine!
the last one - the poly pipe may pull out of that. CA glue doesn't bond it worth a darn.

What was the (creamy color) powder you used around the wood and string (in minute 2:00 of the video)?
Was it ground wood powder or something else?
Saw dust from the wood he just sanded.
@@samskins mixed with baking soda because it smokes. I think he plunged the string into baking soda too because it smokes when the glue comes in.
Question for the chemists out there: how toxic are the fumes you see when the glue is poured on the various filler materials? Thanks.
About as toxic as Britney Bitch
REALLY toxic...
it is a question for a control group and years of observation, chemist do no thave those info

Where do I find cheap good bulk super glue?

How strong is it ? Could make a mallet or screwdriver with it ?
Any suggestions for wood with a crack along the grain? I have an old wooden bow that cracked I want to fix.
Seek out a bow specialist. Depending where the crack is, a poor repair could be very detrimental, and dangerous.
Best suggestion?...Buy a compound bow.
Nice video
Please make mobile stand And tripod Thanks
how does superglue and baking soda compare to styrofoam and acetone??
Styrofoam is polyestirene. It can be dissolved with many solvents, including gasoline. After the solvent evaporates you end up again with polyestirene, the plastic. On the other hand cianoacrylate undergoes a chemical reaction with the water in the air, which hardens it. The baking soda is just an inert hard fine powder which could have been anything else. The result should be more rigid.
Does Dow Chemical sponsor this Super Glue channel???
I think I'm going to be up all night.
At the price we pay for superglue here in Canada, you'd be broke before dinner.
Anyone else have a habit of trying to blow away dust?🤣
🙋🏼
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🛸
where can I buy those large bottle of crazy glue?
What super glue is that?
There's a much better an cheaper way of removing stickers from a jar. Depending on the glue used just let it soak in water or add a a handfull of drops of kerosone and let it soften half an hour.
Yea cause kerosene is just hanging around cheap
@@petre-luciantoma3239 Actually it is because most people don't realize it is sold under names such as lamp oil and heater fuel and a few other i don't know the English names for (for starting a grill or fire). It is also sold in paint stores although for me locally lamp oil from super market is by far the cheapest in smaller quantities. Heater fuel is the cheapest but makes most sense of you use such.
Kerosene isn't even necessary, most of the time just soaking it in hot water for a few hours will do the trick. If there is some sticky residue left afterwards, you can wipe that off with some cooking oil on a cloth or kitchen towel.
@@HifiCentret Yes they make synthetic kerosene out of petro chemicals. Its white spirit in paint shops. Way cheaper than kero from trees.
Well, yeah, you can remove stickers like that.
_But can you brag to your friends that you made a grip handle for a razor blade scraper from baking soda?_
bicarbonate de sodium + cyanoacrylate .

how do you remove this mixture if you need to remove?
2:00 was that sawdust?
Ah.... I bet you are correct. I actually had the video paused at that point just to come to the comments to find out.
At first I thought it was sand but I was doubting they could sand it very smooth. I bet it was the sawdust. If you pause and zoom, tiny pieces of "black something" can be seen. Presumably it is the bits of adbrasive from sanding the groove earlier.
If I ever need to glue a pvc tube into a hole in the floor I’ll know how.

Che cosa è la polvere che ci metti?
What kink of CA GLUE are you using… ??? I have never seen super glue to smoke while it is catalyzing when it touches the Baking Soda it smokes for an instant…
Baking soda on the shelf absorbs water. The small amount of water is what the glue takes to form a solid.
So the glue is a liquid inside its container, and solidify when contact with baking soda.
The reaction is exo-thermic. When it heats up, the water becomes steam, that's the fume you see.
Glue with right amount of moisture forms a transparent solid. If the reaction is too fast you can observe
steam fumes. If it happens, the steam inside tries to get out, the transparent glue will have cloudy patches.
It usually means the strength of the glue is compromised. So it is best avoided.
When you live in inland areas where the weather is drier, you might find the glue is more well behaved.
The OP is likely living in hot humid areas, so his baking soda got more moisture. That's the difference.
@@lpjunction Thank you for the explanation 👍 Cheers - 🍻 P.S. I really like your use of powdered graphite and backing soda… I tried it and added charcoal to the powder mix accidentally, because what I thought was a stick of graphite was actually an art stick for making charcoal drawings that I ground-up… Lets just say it worked extremely WELL. OMG!
