thanks Sidewalk Prophets! About 2 weeks ago I tried to commit suicide. I have a lot of health problems and I struggle with mental illness as well. It got to be too much for me. I met someone on the psych ward who told me about your band. It gives me hope now. I realize now that my problems are nothing compared to what Jesus went through. This song gives me hope on finding what He has planned for me. THANKS!!!!
AMEN to that. You have to live for Him, in His ways ALWAYS. His time is different than ours too. A minute to Him can be a year or more to us.
I attempted to take my life several times over the years. Never could figure out why nothing worked. My mother was an addict, any abuse you can name I suffered. Even as a child I knew God was real but I was angry because I PRAYED and He never came for me. Well I know now that He did. He was always with me. It's not that He allowed my suffering but He knew what I needed to endure so that I could eventually help someone else. People suffer at the hands of people not God. I know God is sad for us but we have free will to choose how we live. I encourage you to know that God loved us so much He sent us Jesus. Jesus loved us so much He laid down His life.

Yes, talk! The Church exists so that His Word is a living word, which reaches out through people here on earth. We strengthen ourselves and one another by sharing our burdens. Even if all you can say to someone else is, "I'm having trouble. Can you please pray for me?" you are opening up more avenues for God's grace to reach you. Remember: you are not walking alone, and you don't need to act like you are.

I really like this song. Finding God's will is not hard. Just praise and worship Him and stay in His word. He will guide you by the Holy Spirit. I have been disabled since I was 37 - I was an RN and now I am 61. I have times that I really wonder what God's purpose is for me -as the last 4 years I have been basically home bound. Then, I stop and remember, just do what we are told to do in His word and He will lead the way. Praise, worship and stay in the Word!!!! There you will find peace and refuge and purpose. He will never leave nor forsake you--His love covers you totally!!!!

My husband was recently the victim of employment fraud, and resigned while the employer, who hasn't paid him for several weeks, was threatening him. While driving to pick him up, I heard this song on iTunes Radio. It really spoke to me, and reminded me that God is there with us even in the darkest of times. I told my husband that it was like this song was just written for him.
We lost our 7 month old little boy this past Saturday and my sister n law heard this song on the radio this morning and had me listen to it. I broke down crying. Its such an amazing song. Good took our baby boy from us way to soon but I know he's watching over us and helping us by showing us the way. Rest in peace baby boy. The whole family loves you.
Who has your baby? God. Use that to do everything you can to strive for Heaven. Strive for Heaven by walking in Christ and helping save as many souls as you can through exhortation and encouragement.
I pray and hope you will join me in this prayer that God will draw us near to Jesus and Himself and guard our hearts, minds and souls that we may be upright on the day of judgment.

When we love deeply, it takes much longer to heal, so please don't let society try and take your journey of healing away from you ... the expectation is to get over it, but that's mostly a society "thing". Most people don't express emotions well and so they want us to work through our emotion quickly so they don't have to feel for us. In truth, they say that it takes many years to truly mourn the loss of a loved one, so don't be afraid to take as long as YOU need to heal!

4 or 5 years ago I was a single mom (after my husband of 16 years abandoned his 2 young children & myself for a man) I was struggling as a sales rep working for ungodly people that tried to get me fired...I was lost & confused..I had pulled into a parking lot because I literally had no idea where to go..I needed to increase my sales, I had no direction from supervisors, I was stuck..then this song came on the radio and I just cried and felt God was reminding me He was with me so I prayed..today I am remarried to the most loving, caring and amazing man. I have never felt so loved, cherished and protected since my childhood. I praise God for giving me hope and direction that day, that is when I drove to my now husband's place of business..God has a plan for YOUR life too❤☝️
That's an incredible testimony, Leslie! The first line of your story could almost mirror mine (except that I have 3 kids). Even the timeline is the same (it was 2013-2014)! I love that you have such a happy ending to your story with a wonderful man who treats you right -- all because of that prayer in the parking lot that God heard!

I am going through some hardships ( or at least I was ) I was looking for a job of my own. Then I found one by the grace of God. I now have been working at OfficeMax for about 6.5 months and it is a wonderful place to work. So many people acknowledged me and I have not felt judged while working there. I have realized that I got the job because the Father decided it was best for me. I am no longer angry at Jesus but very happy with him that he put me in this place

Sidewalk Prophets are good at making songs where you close your eyes and you feel you're transported into a place where there is nothing except the Lord God, you, and your problems. This speaks to me because I'm in college and I have no idea what future lies ahead of me. I thank the Lord that people like these exist.

This song has been my prayer during my difficult times when I have been dumped by my ex- boyfriend (we've dated for 6.5 yrs) at the same time had so much pressure and stress at work. Been depressed too because of family problems. As I look back, God had been so so good to me. He breaks me to build me up. Oh man I am truly and deeply in need of a miracle. I really want to get into this college of my dreams and its so hard their requirements are a lot and I don't think my grades meet that standard. And everyone around me is sort of just letting me down and telling me I can't do it and I should give up. And athough I'm still applying to other colleges ,something tells me to still apply because with God anything is possible.Please pray for me if you can, just knowing that at least I tried is enough:

And what is so cool about God, is that he already knows. He has already moving mountains and positioning you to be able to go. Fear not. The words don't fear are the most used words in the Bible. Don't let fear and other people's opinion sway you.

Don’t believe the critics. I felt similar when I applied to graduate school! I felt everyone is qualified except me. I didn’t have the stellar grades or experience but you know what.. I prayed and God opened the door for me to go to school. God can make a way if we just trust in him. I will keep you in my prayers.

I lost my job today! Its ironic instead of feeling worried or feeling bad, i felt happier and relieved. God has gotten me through when i hit rock bottom before, he never failed. Whatever it is you go through just be still and trust in the lord, for he will sustain you and surprise you in ways youll never realize possible. As long as you put your faith in him that he is able then he shall do... everything you are going through are creations and all creations bows down before the lord!

Divorced from my kids father 3yrs ago. And he got cancer and died a year ago. So it's just me and my girls. Friends and family won't do Bible studies with me. They remind me when I talk about something I've learned that they know the Bible way better than I. I knew things would get bad especially in families but the turn it taken in my life I didn't expect. Maybe they never expected me to want this knowledge so deeply. I think it threatens my closest family member. Which is heartbreaking. My heart has always wanted the best for the ones I love and know for that matter. It's cost me alot of heartache throughout my life. But Christians not wanting others to grow with God I can't rap my head around.

I feel terrible asking you to have me in your prayers since I may not need prayers as much as others, but regardless, I feel the need to ask to be prayed for. I recently started getting into the word of God recently. I am 15 and have always wanted to be a prophet or something, but just recently picked up a Bible to read. I started speaking to my friends on the internet about God and actually got my two friends saved. It was very amazing and I had a great faith in God. A week or so ago I asked God to be able to speak in tongues and went into deep prayer. I felt the holy spirit's overwhelming power swelling inside my body. It was the best and most powerful feeling I've ever felt. I felt him for a long time and asked what he was doing. I then heard a very vague answer, almost as if it wasn't there. I was told that he was building a temple. I immediately told my parents and spoke to my friend on Discord about it. He thought that it was awesome. The next day after finally falling asleep, I felt the holy spirit in me all day. Off and on that whole day, I felt the swelling and overpowering feeling of the holy spirit in my body. However, after that day, it barely happened. I was very sad and a few days after that, it was completely gone. I went to sleep and in the middle of that night woke up. I started thinking about God and the future and how great he was. But during the process of that, I accidentally in my mind suddenly thought that God wasn't real. It was a complete accident and I didn't even mean to think it but I did so anyway. I immediately felt horrible and started crying asking for God to forgive me. I went on a walk outside on the street at about 4am talking to God and asking for forgiveness. A day ago, I think I asked to please be healed and felt the holy spirit one more time. But since then, I want back to my old ways before starting to read the Bible. I lost the self that I was after completely surrendering to God. I hate that and I want to go back to the way I was after I surrendered to God. I feel horrible. When I start thinking about God, even right now, I have a thought in the back of my mind that God isn't real. I'm trying hard to suppress it but it isn't working that well. I know that he's real and that he reigns forever, but there's just a fake doubt in my mind. It's retarded because I even felt firsthand the power of God and started crying because of it. Once again, brothers and sisters, please pray for me. I really need it. I hope many will see this comment and pray for me. Thank you for reading.

Hello, my sister. I've walked with Jesus for 40 years. Much has been experienced and learned deep inside of me. Open your heart and mind to Holy Spirit, if you are willing. You've only posted two sentences so I don't have all of your background.....but consider the following (May God's grace be in these words). I could be wrong but I'm reading between the lines that you are carrying a burden that God may be inviting you to cast on him.
JESUS is the balance between "church" and college. In God's realm (kingdom) there are no categories. We are Jesus' Bride (the Church) and college is part of your current circumstances. If you are experiencing pressure/tension/anxiety from your current circumstances, let God search you. Our short time here is about Jesus and God's eternal Purpose (feed on Jesus in Paul's letter to the Ephesian saints -- take note of chapter 3, verses 10 and 11). Your life is not yours anymore (see Paul's letter to the Roman saints, chapter 6, verses 5-11 and Paul's letter to the Galatian saints, chapter 2, verses 17-21). You have been set free, along with the rest of Jesus' Bride (Alleluia!!!!!!!!) because we were crucified on Jesus' cross with him!!!! We don't live anymore -- Jesus lives inside of us instead!!! Pursue God's kingdom with the highest priority -- God's kingdom is alive in you!!! That's Jesus himself!!!! THROW your burdens and cares ONTO JESUS whose yoke is easy and whose burden is light (see Peter's first letter to the saints in several Roman provinces, chapter 5, verse 7 and Matthew's Good News, chapter 11, verses 28-20). Jesus invites us, "COME TO ME.....and I will give you REST." If ANYONE has been placing a yoke around your neck other than JESUS' YOKE, remove it and replace it with Jesus' yoke. Let no man burden you to do any "religious" duties ("Christian" expectations)!!! Find a few brothers and sisters in God's family who will live out Jesus' life together and walk together as part of God's Bride -- building his kingdom together in FREEDOM. Consider reading Paul's letter to the Galatian saints. The Galatian saints were being tempted to be circumcised and render Jesus' cross as worthless -- we are rescued only by Jesus' cross through TRUST, not works!!! Praise God!!! Whether it's circumcision or any other religious "duty" placed on us by man, learn to recognize these burdens. Life in God's kingdom means freedom -- not freedom to do as we please, but freedom to walk with Christ and allow HIS INDWELT LIFE IN US to control us, SINCE WE ARE NOW DEAD!!!
May Holy Spirit reveal himself to you as you learn to live out Jesus' life alive in you.
