I read something today that said God didn't give you another day for you, he gave you another day because someone needed you. I thought that was powerful. we don't often think like that. myself included.

Man, I'm a depressed 18 year old who has seen it all, nothing surprises me and the struggles of trials are a constant thing as I always feel like nothing and just trash. Reading this gave me hope. I just became closer to God this week and reading this... this made me happy and made me feel needed. God bless you for putting this up. Lord knows how much you helped me. Thank you.

Tonight I was considering ending it. The blade was inches from my wrist when my best friend called. We haven’t spoken in about two months. She told me that she felt called to get in touch with me and when I didn’t respond to her texts she said that she felt something was wrong so she called. My best friend has saved my life. She restored my faith in myself and the world around me tonight. Thank you Jesus for giving me the privilege to get to know and love the amazing young woman that is my best friend.
Edit- April 2024: I graduate from college this week. I’ll get to celebrate with my best friend and see her in person for the first time in 5 years at my graduation.

I have struggled with depression and suicidal thoughts since I was12 years old. I suffer terribly from PPD, after having my 2 son's and having difficulties in my marriage. The past couple weeks have been so stressful and I've seriously contemplated ending it. On my way home, today, I heard this for the first time and had to pull over because I was sobbing so hard. God spoke to me and told me it was going to be ok, I just need to turn to him, again. I opened up to my mom, finally, and she's helping me contact therapists tomorrow. I'm finally giving this up to God instead of trying to do it on my own, like I have for the past 12 years.

Hi! I've been struggling with this though all this evening and it was painful.But then I came into prayer with God and He remembered me how great is His grace and that Jesus on the cross accepted me as I am. Even if the other people doesn't like me too much, I find my identity in Him who knows me the best and still loves me the most. Just remember that Jesus did not forget you on the cross. He died for you, and one day will be with Him in his glory. Amen!

I feel the same, forgotten, no one cares what I'm going through but I know that the Lord sees everything. He is my rock and fortress and I will trust in Him 🙏
You know sometimes I get made fun of at school for listening to Christian music (CCM) but times like that I am reminded that at least I am with God, while those who laugh listen to only things that could ruin their minds, I pray that God will help them realize, that the music affects you mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. I know God is with me and I pray for the salvation of those sheep who wander without a good shepherd , my shepherd is Jesus Christ.

Ive had chronic pain and migraines for 30 years. Ive tried lots of medications, therapies, procedures and treatments. Some days I feel like giving up. I feel very sad that I cant always join my friends and family for outings and occasions. This song reminds me that God loves me just as I am in this moment. He doesn't want me to give up and has a reason for my existence. It gives me hope. Im gonna hang in there. I have a grandbaby due to be born next summer ❤😊.

I saw you guys in Bossier City 11/27/14 and you guys blew me a way. I'm all about the message of a song and I believe that there is an anointing on your lyrics that cuts to the heart. This song brought me to my knees when I heard it. " I know that you are calling me tonight, Jesus only you can save my life"....I surrendered to preach years back thinking it was going to be a hallelujah moment...but it was the opposite. I was hurt by people I considered family and that hurt followed me through 2 more church's. I have fought just to stay faithful to God. God has called me to be the one to say the words that someone needs to hear to save their life and this song brought me front and center with God! I'm not as strong as I think I should be, but maybe that's why God led me down this path. Just like the song that follows on the CD, Keep Making Me. Thank you for answering your calling, and saying the words I needed to hear to save my life.

One day, about three years ago, I was flipping through radio channels, and I heard a song that sounded really good. i'm not sure what it was, but it Saved My Life. That one radio station was called Klove, and I haven't changed it since! But, in ,May of 2014, we moved to Ohio from Tennessee. Where I live in Ohio, Klove isn't there. Yeah there's 95.5 The Fish, but I don't think it has the same attitude, the same atmosphere as Klove. But you are one of my favorite Christian Groups, and I absolutely love hearing your songs. To me, your songs aren't just music, there prayers. Thank you for Saving My Life, Sidewalk Prophets. :)

Everyday i battle demons. I am a horrible husband and thief. I lack as a father that god has blessed me custody of. I wanna make myself a better person before i loose myself. This song is amazing. After reading the comments for this song it reminded me of how being a Christian and struggling with depression I have been to that it is a demon inside me and that I just need God. I work in a field were my job is to encourage folks with what I was told was a demon. I pray alot for the for folks I work with and folks I know.
Sometimes someone with depression or a mental illness needs someone to listen, someone to say they are there for them, to know someone cares.
I don't talk to many about my depression anymore as I have been shut out but I know I have people who care, people who are there if i need them.
We can not as Christians when someone ask what's wrong with someone, say they have a demon in them. That is not showing the lo moving hand of Christ.
YES dealing with someone with a mental Illness is exhausting, over whelming at times and sometime you want the illness to go away but so do they. Some folks have to take medication some the meds don't work. Some have trauma they relive in their mind daily. Some have an insecurity of not being accepted as they were given up on or abandoned, and any time someone is disappointed in them it brings it back.
In other words as Christians we need to show God's love not just on Sunday in church but everyday in our actions and in how we treat others.
This is something I am working on and have had stumbling blocks but yet will continue to work on.

These words reach down and meet me in the depths of the darkness in my soul, for I have been in a very dark place lately, despite being a believer for many years. Receiving a diagnosis of incurable Leukemia will do that to you. I covet the prayers of every person who reads these comments. Always remember that you never know what the person standing next to you may be going through. Use your words to help heal. In turn, always remember that God can use someone else's words to reach you in the depth of your darkest place.

My son Dylan Jon Dominguez was taken January 15 2023 he was 13 but full of light and joy he died skateboarding was hit by avtruck but God is amazing and I know my son fulfilled his assignment here on earth and I thank you lord for allowing my son to grace many lives.I live you pickle till we see eachother again my love ❤

How do I always find these songs that are both inspirational, and depressing. Depressing for me because I'm the guy he's singing about. I'm the guy who needs someone to save his life, but can never find a helping hand, or compassionate heart to see the pain I go through every day. I talk to God, but that sometimes seems like a one sided conversation. I need someone here with me... But there is no one.
Hey man, you are not alone no matter how you feel. That is the Devil trying to make you feel singled out. 1 Peter 5:8 says he's a roaring lion walking about seeking whom he may devour. He'll cut you from the herd and take you down and render you helpless if you let him. You need Jesus and Him alone. It is a personal relationship with Him that the strength and power come from. I don't know your relationship with Jesus, but I do know that He is there when no one else is. He will speak to you through His Word....if you aren't reading it then your conversation will likely remain one sided. Don't allow yourself to trust in man too much either, because man will let you down....without a doubt. I don't think it's a coincidence that the scripture that is right in the middle of your Bible is (Psalm 118:8 It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.) The Lord will NEVER fail you and He will ALWAYS be there no matter the circumstances. I have been the loneliest of the lonely and I'm not speaking as a person who hasn't been there. I spent 5 years in jail and lost it all. I had cost a girl her life and hated myself for that. I was suicidal before I went in. I felt like I was the one that should have died because I felt dead on the inside. Jesus found me in the deepest darkest pit I could dig for myself and called my name. I got saved and I want you to know that it was all Jesus to make me who I am today. I had no one, but Jesus and He is always enough. I'm now married with a son and a daughter on the way. I have peace in my home... a luxury that wasn't afforded to me as a child. My life is so entirely different than it was before I got saved. I'm still amazed at what I see when I look at my life now. I'll be praying for you.

I know how you feel. This world is so hard. I joined a church group and it really helped me to connect with other Christian women. They are like my sisters and I know I can go to them for anything. Keep on praying. He hears your cries and will give you the strength to go on. Keep the faith.

My friends can't read my mind, and they have things going on in their lives, so they can't always be there for me or don't know to be there for me. I am not alone even when I feel like I am. I have major depression and PTSD. In 2012 my mom passed away in front of me and I had to jump from aunt to aunt to live. They made me feel not loved and one even sent me to a psych ward. The only thing that's been helping me is knowing that Jesus is always with me and loves me no matter what

When I feel everything is getting the better of me I exercise. That night I started walking, but, before I prayed and asked God to please give me something. With my headphones in I started walking, and the second song that played was this one. The final verse brought me to my knees (figuratively) and with my head against a light post I cried out to God. Now, I will admit that nothing has been easy ever since that day, but I will tell you that my life was saved that night. God bless everyone that feels like that is their only way out of the pain and suffering. But, give it to God. I can't promise that it will be easy and I still feel the pain and re-live the things I've had to do everyday. But, when it starts to hurt I do my best to give it to God.

Song after song brings positive energy and the lessons between the songs change your perspective and give you a lot to think about. I didn't even want to go to that concert but my mom made me and her and I both rededicated our life to Christ that night. Thank you guys for bringing my mom and I close again.
