I'm a guy. Even I don't smile if it's not funny and I have a very calm personality. It's not that he finds you boring. Infact, he is comfortable around you. He doesn't need to act hype to make you happy so that's a great sign.

This was happening to me recently with an electrician that is doing work on my office building. Would stare into my eyes and hold the gaze. The guy seemed to be really into me so I approached him because I thought he was shy. Turns out he was married. So he did it as a game. To keep his life fun since he's probably bored to death in his marriage. Also to keep me thinking about HIM and not his single and available co workers who were obviously into me. Sick bastard!! All the time I wasted thinking he liked me. SMH
omgfo yup happened to me too. Grown men who do this are usually up to something and I now stay far away from any man staring at me. It's not really a compliment it's more like, "will she take the bait?" He went so far and even told me he missed me once when I went away for a few months. IMO, men do this because they are unavailable and want other female attention without the 'cheating' aspect of it coming into play. Yes, he wants the women to be thinking about him and maybe grow to be interested in him. The women may like the attention (they've been lured in, as you've stated) and hope something will happen, but there's no pay off because it's probably going to be nothing more than a staring game. I've come across this situation many times, men stare and do nothing. You think they're interested in you and they do nothing because they can't. If they were single and available I would think eventually they would make a move if they see they've gotten the woman's attention and they sense a response (non-verbal) from her.
I think it's awful to play with someone's head like that. I know I get tired of it.

I had this happen to me at an awards show years ago. I was a seat filler and kept feeling like someone was staring. It was this musician in a pretty famous band at the time. He stared at me but didn't smile. As I would move around I would catch him staring at me but not smile. I thought he must be on drugs or I had food on my face or something. It was creepy.

This dude used to do this to me when I was in his class. I used to be REALLY REALLY shy which meant I didn't talk a lot. He just stared at me blankly so I stared back and smiled. It made him really uncomfortable so he looks away. Then one day he came up to me and asked why I was staring at him all the time. I replied with "I'm sorry? I can't speak the English really well,". Then he just stopped talking to me...oops?

Thank you! I started at a new job 3 months ago, somebody kept on doing that to me. Then I asked him a question why he stared so much. He answered with "Stare?" As if he didn't even know about it. Never in my life has anyone done that to me in such close range. Coming from a different culture and generation, I found it very difficult to relate to that. One time he did such an intense stare, it felt like a stab to the heart. Now I understand why. Too bad for him, it did not work.

You are totally right about it. The thing is, this is exactly what is happening to me right now. I don't know what to do or neither what to think, is a quite big difference(age) between us and I am not sure what he meant. When I made eye contact with him, he was,like, already staring at me in the eyes. I looked away because I was surprised and shy at that time,and when I looked back at him he was still staring at me in the eyes. I kept that eye contact like 4-5 seconds and I was the one AGAIN who looked away. I guess I wasn't that confident like him at all. I don't know what to thing or what to do, because this thought of being just friendly is still in my mind. He is much older, what can I tell? It is very difficult to say... being a man i have done this before and just to add my 2 cents in to all the women watching. men are simple, direct decisive. we see something we like we are going to take as much as we can in. even if it's just a glance or a few seconds. men are visual creatures. but dating logic is right. women love mystery. For me at least when i do look but don't smile it's kind of subconsicous and depends on the situation. for instance if i make eye contact with a women and i see she's holidng it longer than usual and i see that twinkyle in her eye i'll flash a smile. always ends well. when you make eye contact it's either a friendly encounter or a hostile one. but when two just make eye contact and don't smile move anything it's kind of like " anything" can happen.

Then, there are kind guys you see that like you stare & are afraid to approach you shy. I wouldn’t approach a guy that states though. I thought the same way about this guy and the next day when he had to move back to England, I braced up and took the courage to contact him on facebook, being completely sure of how much he had liked me with all the prolonged stares and all. But unfortunately it turned out that he is not interested. I couldn't have been more wrong about him. I was also encouraged by this video of yours. It's been 9 days already and he still hasn't answered my facebook message and friend request. I made a fool of myself and feel so humiliated. Why the hell did he stare so much and repeatedly and then not even bothering to write me one word??? Now I blocked him, does this matter? Will he contact me in the end? When I confronted my starer at work (he had been doing it since I started which was a year ago) and he became defensive and said he wasn't interested and didn't want me to contact him. He stopped for a few weeks and later started again with his staring. I don't even care anymore, ridiculous,. These dudes clearly have a thing for you when they do this because when they act pressed when confronted you know that you touched a sensitive spot - they get all embarrassed and they try to project that embarrassment on you. Childish and quite narcissistic. Good riddance when they finally leave you alone even if that could take years.

He would tease me in a playful way but I really loved it when I would turn around and he would be staring at me while doing something at the same time. Lol,DL, I have short sight and I find contacts and glasses a hassle. I can't see if people are smiling or not from a distance let alone looking at me. So I can't see if that's someone I like or dislike. I walk a lot and I have to make a guess as to whom that person is coming towards me or away from me. The problem is it may look like I am paying someone perv time when in reality I am confused. If I know what's going on I try and smile. I don't think I ever look and not smile, or raise my eyebrows in greeting. I have a lot of woman walk past or women who are in front of me look back. I don't know if this is because they like me or are creeped out. I didn't know I was being seductive or attempting to be.

So there's this guy that stares at me whenever I'm around, its been happening on and off for about 6 months; its super awkward. Recently, his stares have become more intense, he never smiles, he just stares at me and I usually hold his gaze unless I'm busy. He hasn't approached me, I'm really not sure if he likes me. Its just super confusing.

so that kinda happened to me, i’m a smiley type but only to my close friends and we both ended up looking at each other at the same time and we just stared at each other and we both had blank faces lmao are we both psycho?
For me when I do this it means I'm thinking im analyzing and focusing on the person I like and looking into their eyes to get locked eye contact to feel the connection for a short while lmaooo idk why I do that,lmaooo my friends are like im different lmaoo but like I like staring down into their soul and getting a connection through their eyes and like a silence lmaoo then break it lmaooo idk it depends on the person for me the person I like and when I do that and focus i feel like a connection like an in the moment thing

So this is kinda happening to me, but I still don't quite understand x)
I've been in this thing, it's kind of a training program... and there's this guy there who keeps staring at me without EVER smiling. To be honest, I didn't even notice he was there in the first two days, but then in the third, as we were all entering the room I just ran into him. When that happened, he grabbed my arm and I grabbed his almost instantly and we said "I'm sorry" at the same time and it was almost like we had a moment there. Anyway... from that moment he has been staring at me from far but he never smiles and he never tried to talk to me. The other day as we had a break, I went outside to smoke a cigarrette... 2 minutes later he was there but I think he didn't approach me because I was talking to a friend and so he just went right back inside. It was kinda obvious but I second guess everything anyway xD
Yesterday for instance, he saw me leaving and he just left like he was in a rush. He even forgot to sign this thing we have to sign every day so he could follow me... or at least I think that was his purpose. But then we went in different directions and then again, he never talked to me.
Today it was more of the same. Endless staring and again he followed me when we left the training program but as we got to the point where we have to go our separate ways, I stopped to light a cigarette (and of course it was an excuse to see if he would talk to me or something). He kinda stopped when he realized I was still there and he came back again, he passed by me, but then he just kept walking... so, eventually I started walking as well x)
I'm obviously interested in him or I wouldn't be here but I don't really see myself approaching him. I want him to approach me... but this training program thing will end next week and I'm not sure he'll do it. Any advice? x)
So how exactly do us girls react to this? What should we do? And does it mean he likes you or is he just trying to trap u for the fun of it (messing with feelings)

I’m kinda glad to see similar situations .. So here’s the deal . I work at the mall and across from me there’s a store. Mostly all guys work there and all the guys stare at our store lol . But there’s this guy that does it too often . Like I noticed not too long ago. But this guy doesn’t smile when he stares at me all the time. But I don’t feel like it’s a creepy stare. Although I do stare back because I’m curious , he sometimes looks away pretty fast (very few) but mostly at times just stares longer than I do because I can’t maintain that long of an eye contact with someone because I’m a little shy so I look away... But he does try to stare at my eyes idk how to explain it really. . it’s like kinda weird. Sometimes I see him outside waiting in his car too. And one time he came to my store talking in the phone or something but couldn’t approach him because I as busy..but then left back to his store. so I did this same thing. I went over to his store but I asked a legitimate question about something in the store haha and he talked to me all normal, he didn’t look nervous or anything if anything he looks like a serious person m. I don’t understand :/ Like what does this mean? Why does he look at me from a far every time I work but doesn’t smile or approach, talk to me? It’s been going on for like a month now( or I’ve barely noticed, idk how long he’s been doing this. I barely Noticed him) Does he want something from me? Or does he just want to be my friend ? Or does he want to hurt me? Is he toying with me? Like idk 🤷🏻♀️ and I don’t want to go ask him because what if he wants to hurt me or has bad intentions?. There’s just this mysteriousness. & I don’t even know why I care or am even asking people. I guess I am a little confused and concerned but this if I’m being honest..
Maybe focus on getting your life set up so that you don't work at a mall
