WOOW ..! He really gets the best out of this ride Epic driving..! Makes me want to take my 82QV out this weekend . I have a Tubi it’s a very close sound to this .. But this was AWESOME..!!
This gentleman is really a very good driver. He has an enviable driving style. Excellent thing to drive barefoot: (I almost always do it myself) in this way it gets the maximum sensitivity on the pedals. And I saw that he manages to perform the "heel-toe" technique barefoot: it's a really good thing, and it's not for everyone.
@@chillychanmedia1644 Oh yeah, I'd love to learn the heel-toe technique too. With modern cars, it doesn't really need to be, but it always remains a pleasant thing. I would like to learn to do it barefoot, since, like this gentleman, I also drive barefoot. Indeed, this video could be very instructive, on how to perform heel-toe, and maybe you, you could ask this gentleman, if he could make other videos, like this one.
What a great sound !! IDK what state hes in but in Connecticut its illegal to drive barefoot! I wear aquasocks and they're about the thinnest shoes you can get and give great feedback from the pedals !
Suggestion: clip GoPro onto inboard post of passenger's headrest. Gives a better view of the road without the rearview mirror obstructing it. Also, try getting up earlier, there will be a lot less traffic. That loop gets crazy by noon especially the cyclists.
appreciate the tip. i was so disappointed with myself for not catching that mistake. i totally messed up the chance to make a great video the car deserved. the passenger perspective footage does look good. i did something similar on an old air cooled 911. yep that place is packed mid day! thanks again for the advice.
Reverse should be L/Down. Yeah, pretty sure. Well, I mean, that’s where it is for my 96 Hyundai anyway. 😜 Seriously though, I wondered the same thing-can’t really tell by the video. Beautiful car though!!! I never understood why Ferrari never deviated from the hokey-pokey, long-throw, gated shifters-as far as I know. I guess most of their market loves ‘em. Me, not so much. 🤷♂️
To the left and forwards, where you would normally find 1st. Its a "dog leg" gearbox. Typical of older Ferraris where a racing pattern was specified. No-one uses 1st on a track, but 2nd and 3rd are much more common, so this pattern gets 1st out of the way. You have to push down first to go into reverse so it stops accidents!

I am thinking about doing a roadtrip across europe in a 208 QV GTS would you recommend it? Or it's not an ideal car for the job?
I have an 84 same colors..like the wheels you put on it, looks like a GTO

Awesome! What did you pay for it? How did you pay for it? It's been a childhood dream to own and drive an old school Ferrarri

How much attention do you get on this car?
I like how you are stepping on the pedals with barefoot
LOL!! The owner is quite a tall gentleman. He is an excellent driver as well. Thank you for watching!
Nice

Where is the reverse gear for this car?

Driving barefoot with arms stretched like that is kind of not ideal.
Lovely sound but get rid of those horrible cheap looking wheels, the aftermarket Ferrari badges etc. Would look so much nicer.
The GTO wheels were an option for a euro QV. In the 80s, badges were available through the service department
It's sounds like ae 86😄
