- An excellent evening spent at Bedford station on the Midland Mainline where we see countless services from Thameslink, East Midlands Trains, London Midland and freight from Freightliner.
I always love coming to this station there's always something here to keep you busy, because it was rush hour it meant that the amount of trains coming and going were outstanding including some beautiful HST sets thundering through and stopping.
My next station is Leicester on the Midland Mainline.

Wonderful video I have seen a lot of Thameslink services going to the Bedford sidings for a rest,A lot of tones and a lot of the new class 700s departing to and from Brighton my hometown the most and I hope you have a great time filming at Luton,Leicester,Derby and the Chiltern Mainline. 👍😃😀😊😄👍🏿👍🏻👍🏽👍🏾👍🏼

Fantastic video!!! The HST's VP185 engines sounds very mighty and close to the Valentua engines :-)
The VP185 has got to be by far and away the best sound you could ever hear from a HST obviously apart from the original
Bedford is a great station. :) The 700s are brilliant in their 8 and 12 coach units. The Meridians are close cousins of the Virgin and CrossCountry Voyagers. Perhaps it's possible CrossCountry could have some Meridians to run extra services between Plymouth, Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen. Thanks Jared for another great Video. Will you be in Peterborough next year as Thameslink will deploy their 700s on services between Peterborough, Gatwick Airport, Horsham, Three Bridges, Maidstone and Brighton by then. Also in 2018 the VTEC 800s will be in service on the East Coast Mainline of which alongside the current HSTs and 225s there will be all-day half-hourly services between Kings Cross and Edinburgh and possibly extra services to Aberdeen and Inverness thanks to the hybrid 800s which can run on electrified and non-electrified Routes. VTEC have already added a terminating HST service for Stirling via Edinburgh, a daily HST service for Sunderland via Newcastle and the Monday-Friday 7:35 PM service between Edinburgh and Kings Cross. Before VTEC the last train of the day from Edinburgh to Kings Cross was at 6:30 PM. I was convinced there'd be a 7:30 PM service of which I'm glad VTEC is running on Weekdays. I think they should reciprocate it by extending the 7:30 PM Kings Cross-Newcastle service to Edinburgh from Mondays to Thursdays while keeping the Friday 7:30 PM Kings Cross-Edinburgh service. In 2019 VTEC will add a daily service to Huddersfield via Leeds and a daily service to Middlesbrough via Darlington. With the 800s in service I'm certain VTEC will add a terminating service for Dundee like CrossCountry.
Syed Hoque Thameslink will also be going to littlehampton as well
RG 100 the difference between a 222 and 221/220 is the there coupling as they can not couple up to each other

Fantastic video, its good to see that a lot of the 700's are in operation now. At some peak times the majority of thameslink trains starting at Bedford are 700's. Have liked :)
Thanks very much :) At first it was rare to see a 700 but now you see them all the time, slowly fading out the 319 and 377 units which I hardly see anymore
Yes there is still the odd 319 working Bedford-Brighton in the evening, but other than that it is mostly 700's now.
A few days ago I was going from Luton Airport Parkway to Burgess Hill and all of the Thameslink trains I saw at Luton Airport Parkway station and out the train window were 700s, except for my train which was a mere 4-car 377 😢

222's are amazing trains, just wish that at speed, they had a deeper engine tone
