    I’ve reached out to a few cable providers I like and asked to test a few of their cables. I’ll link the ones that work well soon :)

      Have you found the links to which one works? I bought an ELEPHAS W90 projector and it won't work with the Onn HDMI to USBC cable from Walmart 🤦‍♀️
      I hate dumping more money into things that won't work and wasting my time.

    The issue happen everytime i turn off the pc when is connecting on the external monitor. When It happens you are not able to connect to the external monitor even for days. Then one day, like magic, randomly start working again. It's not a cable issue, there is something wrong with the software. I bought several expensive cable at the beginning of my journey with this shitty PC, That not solve the problem.

    Hello really having trouble right now setting up 2 monitors to the my surface pro with a dock….i got two adapters for the surface dock to HDMI, plug them both in & led them to the monitors…
    For someone reason only one of the monitors can be on at once. Both are detected, but only 1 one works at a time, if I disconnect one, the other one turns on or vice versa

    I purchased a Hub from Amazon last year. It's been working perfectly fine but it stopped working suddenly. My surface laptop won't even recognize the two external monitors. When I tested out the hub with my Samsung note, the monitors had no issue displaying the screen, so I'm suspecting there may be issues with the hardware on my laptop. Would that be a wrong assumption?

      I had the same issue. I cleared the cache following the steps in the link and that fixed the problem.

    I found this video trying to fix this issue: I had a problem where I needed to keep reconnecting the HDMI cable using Surface Pro 7 with a KVM.
    My setup was:
    - KVM: GREATHTEK ‎GHT-S7232H2-009 (4K/60)
    - Monitor: ViewSonic Elite XG270Q (2K)
    - Cables: a $14.99 Cable Matters 3-Pack High Speed HDMI Cable 3 ft with 4K @60Hz, 2K @144Hz
    I was using an Anker USB-C dock that supported 4K/60 with the Surface, but I found every time I switched to my other computer, when I switched back to the Surface the monitor wouldn’t be able to get signal. So I got a Surface Dock, and everything worked perfectly with the KVM. So maybe the USB-C port in the Surface is wonky or something. That Anker dock has no issues with any other computers I’ve used it with.

    I have a surfacebook 2 and I have been using a microsoft usb-c to hdmi adapter running on windows 10 and windows 11. It suddenly stopped working after some windows update. I have reset the device and it still does not work. The cable works with other equipment. Does anyone have any idea?

    I have 2 surface Pro 7s, one with windows 10 and one with windows 11. The monitors are connected to the Surface Dock. When i connect the windows 10 computer to the dock the monitors work. when i connect the windows 11 device to the dock. it detects the monitors, but will not extend.

  • @johnnyhoops3991
    @johnnyhoops3991 Месяц назад

    The cables are not the cause for the deeper underlying fault which originates with Microsoft. Sometimes the cables work. Sometimes they don't - irrespective of the cables. A more "expensive" cable may work sometimes. At other times they don't. The problem is a deeper underlying fault within the computer. The same kinf of gereric problem that the battery drains of all stored power when you switch the computer off. Cannot get a satisfactory explanation or fix for that problem either.
