Not sure why this is getting “SO boring” comments - We have a young family of two boys and it’d suit us down to the ground, we don’t want exciting as much as good to drive, safety, practicality, durability and value for money - all of which is embodied in this model if you lay off the options, going from the Scala’s pricing. I understand the 1.0 is punchy enough for it not to need the 1.5 so that avoids the engine problem mentioned with those. My wife is looking for a compact, economical car with interior space and a high driving position - In short, this car is aimed at families like us, and it looks to be a bloody good bet to me for what we need in a car.
Ross Bourne - I guess I was explicit with my point: Why is it being judged on this basis when it’s target demographic doesn’t care about this and the brand messaging of Skoda has never been about excitement?
I thought the 1.4tsi was so good I bought two. Seriously, have the 1.4tsi in my SEAT and 1.4tsi in the Skoda. It's a brilliant engine. It's fast, refined, the mpg betters some diesels... what's shitty about it? The 1.5 replaced the 1.4 (150). Perhaps you're thinking of the 1.4 (125). I believe that engine was replaced by a 3cyl 1.0.
Am I right in saying that the VAG group have 3 dull crossover/SUV each, for the Audi, VW, Seat & Skoda brands. Why bother with so many. Sure they're all the same drab car with a different crease down the side 😂
Philip Scott - Totally wrong, they’re so different. The Seat is dull & drab. The Skoda is drab & dull. The Audi is drab, dull & overpriced. The VW is somewhere inbetween. Drull?
" Who cares " ...brilliant conclusion. Yaawn...another generic whatever Budget Brand 3 banger Thing. But its brilliant and will become a huge sucksess.
The UK specs out now and if you want an auto and options to match most of the competition it is going to be £26k car! OK, it may be better than a Captur but the same spec would cost £5k more at least.

Kamiq sounds very similar to the Romanian "cam mic", which means kinda small lol
A petrol VAG engine with issues? Who’d have thought? If I remember correctly 1.5 was supposed to be a fixed replacement for the shitty 1.4...

Another German crosdresser...
You sound depressed 😅😅😅😅
Why promote a tiny ice scraper ? when there are plenty of large handled items on web, which are far better to use across windscreen
Gutted that you only made it to the end of the first week on Bake Off :(

All the latest small VAG cars have cheap quality plastics inside, are you saying this one is different or are you lying in the video lol

Isn’t that whole drive looking to camera so frequently basically driving without due care and attention? 😑
Incredibly boring car! They'll of course rip you off for options and trim levels too. Would much rather have a Peugeot 2008, much more interesting.
