Even the OG megatron was like “oh shit, the golden disc!” It’s interesting that they’re doing this crossover. In the beast wars series, they travelled BACK in time and came across the arc with the autobots and despticons. Yeah, I remember now. I don’t have Netflix, and forgot why, but they was there a difference in size in beast wars, but here, they’re of similar size?
Yes, they were much smaller in BW due to energy efficiency. But they were also literally human sized in comparison to the Autobots and Decepticons. I think it was a good choice to size them up for Kingdom, it made things less awkward than they already were.

I don’t have an issue so much with the fawning fanboy characterization Predacon Megatron adopts. David Kaye could have taken that and run with it-and it would have been amazing. It’s the fact that the voice shows NONE of the charisma or gravitas to lead someone to believe that Megatron would adopt a following willing to embark on a time-hopping suicide mission. He needed to have a different voice actor who didn’t sound like a weak-minded toady at all times, even when leading his own forces. Different voice, same lines, same general fanboy character, and it could have worked.

Hearing Beast Wars Megatron's voice in this series makes my skin crawl. They couldn't get David Kaye? He could have toadied up to G1 Megatron while having his own agenda. That would have been better.

I thought the story wasn't bad. I was hoping it would 've been much better with the crossing of transformers and BeastWars. But I have to admit, I was very very disappointed with the amateur voice actors for the beastwars characters. The women were ok, but the guys were terrible, really terrible! The wimpy voice of BW dinobot, the rough voice of Tigertron, and especially the extremely wimpy voice of Megatron was the worst of the worst. And the worst of it all was without a doubt seeing BW Megatron groveling on and on at Megatron 's feet. It was pathetic to see. Never in a million years you would've seen Megatron groveling at anyone's feet like that! Honestly, He was one of the most intelligent and strategic leaders that we have ever seen in any cartoon like that one and that's the truth. So seeing him at Megatrons feet like that..... No ....... Really pathetic. I was hoping, when we saw Meg's foot hit the ground like in the preview, I was really hoping we would see some serious rumbling, separating the 2 factions and who would rule the universe. But NO, it really was horrible and pathetic. But aside of the terrible and amateurish voice acting and lack of confidence and strength on the side of the predicons, it wasn't a bad show. But I preferred the first two parts! Just my opinion!
I felt they butchered BW Megatrons character. Total kiss butt to G1 Megatron. I kept waiting for him to backstab G1 and take power but he never did. Very disappointing.
That was the one thing I was hoping for when I skimmed through this season (not a G1 fan, haven't watched any of it, just wanted to see BW stuff). Totally disappointed in everything aside from Dinobots portrayal and the general back story that Megatron and Optimus had been at war with much larger forces for a while.
This season needed 3 things to be better. in my opinion it was solid, had a good story and idea but: 1) Get the BW voice backs or at least bring profesional voice actors 2) it needed to be extended, at times it felt rushed. The last arc of Nemesis and Galvatron should have been at least 3 episodes not 1 and a half. 3) Give us a good final duel between: Megatron vs optimus prime Megatron vs optimus primal BW Megatron vs Megatron (wouldve made mor sense for BW mehatron that he gets tired of gettin treated like another worthless soldier so he rebels against the decepticons or at least plot against them for the sake of the predacons) Nemesis Prime vs Optimus Prime and Primal Galvatron vs Megatron and Megatron
They either want to expand the story which would include the Beast Era Transformers. Or they’re trying to bring the Beast Wars toys back. Either way, it’s brilliant! Seasons 1 and 2 were for the 80’s kids. Season 3 is for the 90s kids!
I'll be brutally honest: When I first heard Beast Megs' god-awful voice was NOT gonna watch Kingdom. But I watched it anyway. Every time I came to a scene where he spoke, my mind was like “STFU!”
