What gorgeous artistry from Murray Gold. I love his music. Gallifrey, This Is Our Home is so poignant and when it was added to series 10, I almost fell out of my chair. Amy Pond's Departure, Clara's theme at tend of episode 13 in season 9 and this Gallifrey are my favorites of all.

The first time I heard it in this season, I replayed that scene over and over again just to hear it again. Every time I heard it in this season, I just jumped up with joy! Along with A Mad Man With a Box, hearing This Is Gallifrey just made me feel nostalgic but also complete- much like it did to this season. As always, your uploads of songs make me so content! I'm sorry but it is simple musical flourishes like this that makes Murray Gold an absolute legend for me. When I first watched the Lie of the Land I remember really loving the scene where Missy was explaining to Bill that she needed to die, and the closeup of her eyes in the transition shot but I didn't realize until much later that a HUGE part of the reason I loved the scene so much (despite the pretty great acting) was because this musical genius brought back one of my absolute favorite pieces from this show ❤❤ it took me a moment to remember exactly which one it was since there are SO many that are iconic in my mind but upon quickly scrolling through the series 3 soundtrack I immediately had to come here to find this. New Who has been pretty fun for me overall, and the stories and characters, along with stunningly beautiful music like this all make for one hell of an experience.
ironically the master isnt dead from that ending, if you remember the trick missy pulled on the master about hes broken tardis and low and behold missy ended up pulling the part needed from her coat pocket, the master ended up killing himself, and missy is aware of it, so what would stop from missy pulling some kinda counter measure to still provide at least a new generation of missy/master..as we all know the master has the canny knack and touch of cheating death one too many times
Rikki Richardson I think they teased that missy wasn't the incarnation after John Simms and that she is a far future one. since the actress is dead set on not returning we could see the future masters in between Michelle and johns incarantion it would be the smartest way of bring the master back and allowing him to still be an enemy to the doctor since missy is drastically different from the rest as she wants to help the doctor, Chibnall could shape his own bad guy/girl master.

When I heard this theme back in S10 (I believe) I was so happy ! It's one of my favourite song !! And then I went looking for it and realised the soundtrack doesn't exist ... I'm still hoping one day it will be release but in the mean time, I'll enjoy this. Thank you so much for extracting it, and for doing it so beautifully 💜
Looking back now that it's over, I actually really liked Series 10. I'd even call it Capaldi's best season (although I say that as someone who hated Series 8 and 9, so that's not saying much). Why did I like it? - Capaldi finally came into his own as a Doctor and was above and beyond his own standards of acting. - We got great companions in Bill and Nardole. - Mostly well written and well constructed stories. - Some very original villains (and good returns for old ones too). - Murray Gold was on fine form as always. - Missy was at her absolute best. - The final 2-parter was a very strong contender for my favorite New Who story ever.
agreed on most points however bill was only memorable as a Cyberman to me. her character depended far to heavily on her sexuality and not enough on likeability. I hated Rose but can watch any episode with her in. (dont think for a second her sexuality is the reason I dislike her as captain jack and ianto were awesome). but I knew from the moment she appeared shed not stay long and due to that there was less of a need to develop her further and more to make her down to earth to reach more viewers. she's the meat and potato companion a bit like rose. and like Clara had a fake-out for a conclusion. since the 50th anniversary; there's been a sense of plot armor on everyone. and the fact is bill just isn't memorable. we can't even use the race card seeing Martha and Mickey. overall nardole was awesome. some of the stories were fantastic such as the last two... which admittedly are now my 2 favorite stories in new who. but this series will be a first for me in only one aspect. it is the first time since doctor who began that I gave up on it until the last 5. the 3 partner and the last 2 were where bill showed promise to me and only when she got angry. otherwise her character is so legitimately boring I had to stop at the mansion episode. (shows how little I remember of her that I blot it out of my own memory)...
I was more disappointed at The Empress of mars and The Eaters of Light. You see, Bill has amazing chemistry with the Doctor, they act well on screen, it's memorable. But Empress and Eaters had the "I'm female" and "I'm gay" scenes that are ALREADY IN KNOCK KNOCK. They could have had character development instead of repeating the same plot point over and over again.
Wings of Darkness but was the memorable moments due to bills strength of a character or just as part of a package? if a character can't stand alone as something good; then why not make them more human. I'm sorry but after every single joke in the first part of the series being sexuality orientated; I got bored. there's nothing wrong with being gay or whatever your life gives you but to make it the all defining trait... I couldn't tolerate it any longer. bill to me will always be remembered as the annoying gay one. and the fact that she was built up as the first gay companion... Captain Jack!!! there's someone trying to take your title... seriously; now there was a gay character done right. and yes I know he was omnisexual but he is best known for the long term love towards Ianto Jones. and also can you really dislike him? there was little development past her being an overly emotional character that had a sexuality that overwhelmed anything and everything else in her personality. however one thing I will say is that if you look at the situation; this is one time the doctor royally messed up and it will play on him for a long while. she was entirely I'll suited as a companion and because of that; she got killed. aka just like Sarah kingdom and other one off companions.
Listening to this right now and being really really ill and burning up really makes you feel like your regenerating in some think new and brave to fight the world. Ps who else feels like this when you're ill or is it just me :)

Please? I know it's INCREDIBLY 10, but since I think we can fairly safely assume 13 is going to be doing a more 10-level of dashing around as she's considerably younger than 12, if it could make a comeback it'd be great.
I believe the composer for Class is coming into the job. He used the Doctor's theme from Series 1-4 in the first episode of that so it is possible he might sneak in some old tunes.

With the series 10 OST I think Murray Gold went back to their roots, as well as the shows roots. Like Classic Who, there's a lot of cheesy synth music (the cheesiness isn't a bad thing at all, it's what makes it great!) and there's a lot of reoccurring motifs from earlier on in the revival series.
Silva Screen has the rights and are holding back on 9 and 10 for some reason. As far as I know there is a petition to get them to release the soundtracks but whether they'll listen is anyones guess.

Other than MAYBE the Dalek theme and the Cyberman theme, there isn't another piece of music by Murray Gold that is as repeated as "This is Gallifrey", right? The 9th/10th Doctor's theme hasn't ever made a real comeback since The End of Time (it had its little snippet when Vastra asked the Doctor if Melody was human) but "Gallifrey" keeps coming back time and time again as actual score material. Is there ANY other song that has been used for this long (10 years)?

IMO it's way better than the original, never liked that track
Why can't you just put up the soundtrack without all those annoys sounds and voices in the background!
