We're checking out some Pokemon card shops in Shibuya, Tokyo. In this series, I try to complete an age-old collection goal by buying vintage holos from Japanese card shops to fill the holes in my binder. Even better, I give you some tips and tricks on where to find the best Pokemon deals in Tokyo, Japan.

I was only able to hit up Poke Center, Mint and Mandarake when I was in Shibuya. Would’ve explored more if it wasn’t shoulder to shoulder busy 😭

Awesome, have fun with it! There really isn't one best area or one best store. They can all be good or bad, and finding the right cards for the right price is mostly luck.

Search in Japanese.

Google search in Japanese. But you'll also find most of these if you search in English.

It always depends on the condition. Judging whether a price is fair by watching a video or seeing pictures is impossible. I always try to get that point across. For example, the Lugia I bought was not 3x market; otherwise, I wouldn't have picked it up. A lot of cards were definitely up there though. The thing is, you have no way of knowing that it's "3x" by just watching the video. That's why I always preach to inspect every card.
