when will be able to grade with ARS?
Woah... I bought 2 boxes, 1 for $54 and one for $65 in last 6 weeks or so. I had no idea there was ANOTHER reprint 😂
I mean, this video is from 2 months ago 😅 You likely bought your boxes during the reprint I was talking about in this video.
@@Dark_ibex ooo yeah. I didn't realize this was 2 months old lol. So there has been 3 prints total? But I'd presume reprints are smaller? Is there a good website to get accurate and current info like that?
them and stock x are absolute TRASH for putting their stickers on the SEALED product lmfao
I guess someone didn't actually watch the video
I had no idea this card was printed in Japan. I had one from my sealed cd promo collection I bought years ago. I let it go graded a psa 10. Woops. Too bad psa didn’t distinguish between them
Oh that's awesome though, congrats on the 10!
That sounds like some very solid sober advice. Thank you!
Thank you for watching and leaving such a nice comment. I don't like to give advice, but when I do, I hope it is perceived that way.
So isthe back of the card english or the old japanese style???
English, as shown in the picture of the sealed card.
Just got my first japanese 151 booster box! Right now i have 4 sealed boxes, all from sv era, crimson haze, mask of change, night wander, and 151. What booster box should I collect next? Should I buy a set of sv5m sv5k, or should I buy a box of reprint lost abyss or another 151?
Great start to a collection! I won't answer your question though, sorry. 1, because this video is not the place for it, and 2, I don't like to tell people what to buy. Just go with your heart and buy what you like.
@@Dark_ibex OK!
Why only the JP 151 getting reprints ...
That the english print Japanese card with a Japanese back? Or is that a different card
English back, as shown in the picture of the sealed card.
@Dark_ibex which card is it then that has the Japanese back but english front? Maybe do a video on that card
Best song collection! I picked one up this year with all the cards. The blastoise goes super hard.
That's awesome! Yeah, love the OG three
Awesome man. I knew of this card but didn’t know all the history. Cheers. I’m really a fan of this kind of content.👍
Glad you enjoyed the video!
I think you should reach out to PSA and attempt to get them to recognize the card properly on their labels. Maxmaxcity recently got them to recognize topsun cards as 1997 instead 1995 on the labels. I would send them this video and other sources about the difference. Cool video!
Thanks for highlighting this! I have this Pikachu and it’s a personal treasure :)
Awesome! It really is a cool card
This is awesome man thanks so much
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed the video!
Literally thousand dollars if sold in the US
For those of us who don’t care about condition this is a huge winfall
For sure!
Mind blowing
I swear I can smell the cards through the screen wtf 😂
Do you have other shops to recommand in tokyo? And are their cards worth grading and of good price?
If "good price" is a requirement, then my biggest recommendation will always be to buy online. There isn't a single card or item in a card shop that you can't find cheaper or, at the very least, for the same price online. Card shops are fun to shop around in and maybe find some cards at market price, but they are generally not your go-to place to source gradable cards below market price. There's also not one shop that's the best, they're all kinda the same.
Great video! I stopped caring about ranking, just find good pricing😅 Save money lol
That's a nice approach, too; just having the card is nice.
@@Dark_ibex It’s nice, but no bent or too whitened up. Ideally B rank or even C if it’s 300yen or below. I found a bunch of 50yen DP holos and still got them B and C rank. Maybe it was a bad idea. Idk.
Japanese singles hit different! That's not a myth that's a fact 😅😅
i think the vid is too long and can be condensed
Hard disagree. What's the point of a video that is all about card condition differences if I speed through everything and don't take the time to actually show the damage? You can always watch it at 2x speed or just choose not to watch it. Given your other comment, I think I should have been even more detailed and explained even more.
Man I was craving some Ibex content. Great video.
Thanks for watching!!
I’ve bought and submitted a ton of card rush cards to PSA this year For A-, I’ve gotten five PSA9s and once got a PSA10 For A, it’s a 70% PSA10 and 30% PSA9 For B, I’ve gotten Five PSA8s and one PSA7 For C, I’ve only bought it once and got a surprising PSA2
What kind of cards were they? I'm glad to hear that you got some tens! But for me personally, this 10 ratio wouldn't be high enough to justify buying from them consistently, especially considering that you can find cards cheaper elsewhere with pictures.
Thanks for this comment. I was curious how PSA would grade the different condition levels.
@@Dark_ibex Theyre all charizards mostly. There was a few Chameleon and Charmanders. I actually forgot to mention, I have gotten PSA9 two times from B condition as well for a storm front charizard and a delta charizard. These two are hardly ever available on the site though to buy From my most recent PSA submission I got a A- condition m charizard ex(x) UR for 29,999yen and it somehow got a 10. I’ve previously got two B condition 1996 charizard base sets and one got a 7 and one got a 8. Both cards were 19,800yen each on card rush The C condition card was also a base set Japanese charizard I got for 9,980yen in march. It got a PSA2 The times I remember off the top of my head for A condition resulting in PSA9 was one for a Charmander AR from 151, a Charmander Shiny from Shiny Stars.
rush cards? Yugioh? or did you mean you rush the cards to PSA it wasn't clear
@@2736492821 Card Rush, the company this video is about.
Something that I was planning to talk about soon haha nice video!
Oh nice! Can't wait to watch it!
The price jump just isn’t worth it from a- to a in my opinion. The off center chance isn’t really worth it either. Great vid. I am a psa 9 collector for the exact same reasons.
Agree, A isn't always clean enough, given the price premium. The Lugia in a 9 is cheaper than the condition A price, just not worth the risk.
Thanks for the showcasing of the stores! Did you find prices higher in akihabara than other areas with card shops. That’s what I’ve been told is normal
Not really, prices are pretty comparable across all stores in Tokyo. There isn't one best area or one best store. I find cards in stores that previously had nothing worth buying and vice versa. I also go home empty handed often because nothing I looked at was worth it. This is true for all the areas.
@@Dark_ibex thanks for the feedback. I had a friend there last week check the stores out and noticed some really high prices in that area but also some great finds and hard to find cards so i guess it’s just the eBay stores from Japan sometimes have cheaper prices for some reason
@@TheProfessorJoakTCG Online will almost always be cheaper. Needing to travel to Japan to find good deals has long been a thing of the past. It's still fun to walk through the stores and pick up some cards here and there, but if the goal is to get the best prices, then online is 100% the way to go.
such a shame that 151 English not had another reprint as the prices are crazy
Thx man I’m going to try this today.
Love watching your content what was the store name that you bought this brick from and do you have any recommendations heading to Japan here in a couple of months to buy Pokémon
How do you afford to do something like that? Fr
Is this a int we will get reprints over Europe area?
I’m lovin these Japanese 151 prices. 47 Boxes stocked so far and 40 vstar universe. My future self will be grateful
Awesome video! Another recent Kusube fan here! The cards that definitely made me get into this collection were the EX Sandstorm’s Spearow and Fearow, and the Gengar line on Neo Destiny… insane. Your collection looks so great, congrats!
Ah yeah, those are some of my favorites too! Thanks so much for watching and leaving such a nice comment.
Am I the only one getting multiple scratched cards from these reprints?
Awesome video!! Thanks for your insight
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it
With Masterball reverses, all JP 151 packs will have potential value
You have to assume the person selling the pack already pulled their master ball from the box and is now selling the dud packs.
Nice work, keep it up
Thank you!!
I see piles and piles of unsold boxes at my distributor, I don't get it why people think these are so hard to get. Literally entire Asia is selling Jap Poke cards for decades.
i mean myth one should be obvious. if theirs alot of global demand then that will make the local demand go up due to resellers resulting in the pokemon company indirectly printing to meet the global demand even if they dont directly sell the products outside of japan.
Right, I always thought this was obvious too. You often hear those statements online, though. Less these days, but still.
I want to buy lot of packs, but don’t know when…😅
Never buy packs... now is the time to buy sealed boxes. Tons for $50-60 usd
I feel like 290 yen per pack in the Pokémon center is like the best pricing it would ever get…
Hi, does anyone know when would Pokémon 151 Japanese going to be stop selling in the official POKÉMON center in Japan
the centering on those cards are still acceptable for a psa10 though
Yeah all those cards are definitely within parameters of a 10. Unless it's really egregious, you'll hit the ten 9 times out of 10.
The Mew is definitely too OC to get a 10 unless you get a blind grader. The other two, as I have mentioned in the video, definitely could get a 10, but it is simply not worth the risk with modern cards. If you get a 9 on a modern Japanese card, it's GG. Money wasted. Those two might very well be within 60:40 and thus, within PSA 10 parameters. The problem is that PSA is not consistent on this. In fact, PSA isn't consistent on anything. I've seen and gotten back myself too many 9s that were within 60:40. Just watched a video recently of someone getting wrecked with 9s on ultra modern Japanese for cards that were slightly OC, like the ones I talked about. The people who grade tons of tens also never mention all the cards they buy from Japan and then reject and resell raw. Cards with this centering are sometimes the ones people resell raw because it is simply not worth the risk. If these were older, more expensive cards, then yeah I would give it a shot, but not when they're ultra modern cheap Japanese cards.
@@pocketdreamau Certainly not the Mew, the other two would have a chance. See my reply to the other commenter though. But, even if they had a 9 out of 10 chance, that still means "not perfect cards". Many people online make it sound like Japanese cards are perfect. That was my main point with this myth.
@@Dark_ibex agree with the premise that japanese cards aren't always perfect. I just think psa is a bit more lenient than they have been on the past. I have recently had a lot of success with psa returns from my most recent trip to Japan. Most of the cards I submitted were marked for damage but ostensibly had no issues besides very slight centring and normal warping and still hit the 10. I think overall stores are often way too harsh in their appraisal. Obviously I'm not doing this on the scale that you speak of but if you are careful and meticulous it is pretty easy to grade modern Japanese. Really enjoy the videos, thank you for replying to my comment.
Isn’t it cheaper to buy singles?
Definitly
Cheaper than ripping packs? Cheaper to buy from Japan? Can you specify?
Cheaper than ripping packs/boxes? In Japan
depends on your luck by 99 percent of the time buying singles is cheaper.
@@David-ue7vv It's always better to buy singles than ripping packs, in any language.
I know the supply is crazy but I keep on buying some of the specialty sets at these depressed prices and I keep buying the standard set boxes below MSRP (~$35). Seems crazy to me to pick up boxes of good standard sets at around $30 or so and even less per box.
You live in Japan I’m guessing?
@@David-ue7vvobviously best price you can get is if you’re in japan but you can get pretty close overseas. Im seeing treasure ex for $31 in the us and standard sets like crimson haze and mask of change for $34 and less
Thank you. Great video. Do you know any sites that give coupons for snkrdunk?
is there english versions for one piece cards?
just picked up 16 Japanese 151 Booster Boxes for $50 each (Local Pick-up in USA)
great price!
