Awesome video! Thanks for making this. I have no experience with snkrdunk but may try them out in the future. It’s always an uneasy feeling gambling with mercari. 😂
I find that I have to click purchase on a particular booster box, but no way to buy say multiple different items. is there a way to consolidate before purchase or I can't? I was wanting 1 box of 5 different sets but I would assume not possible? As it comes from 5 different sellers?
I live in Japan and have bought from SNKR Dunk plenty of times. I stopped buying from them, however, when I realized that a box can be authentic but also weighed. I bought 3 boxes of Shiny Treasure Ex from one seller and they all had the same rare (a gold card). This was obviously not a coincidence. If I’m not even going to have the chance to pull an SAR, then there’s no point. I’d buy singles again. But not boxes.
Thanks for watching. Interesting on those pulls. I'd still argue in favor of this being an insane coincidence. I have yet to see someone show that a whole Japanese box can be weighed. A single pack? Sure, but not a box. Especially when the weighing is supposed to be able to differentiate between an SAR and a gold card, for example. A box's weight is not going to tell you if the hit is an SR, SAR, or UR. The person I linked in this video, P4C, sometimes does the whole weighing thing to test it, and it has never been consistent. Japanese boxes are also not seeded per case, meaning there is no guaranteed number of SARs in a case, for example. I think your experience was most certainly a coincidence. Those boxes likely didn't come from the same case but from different places. Pulling the same hit three times from those boxes can just happen. Crazy coincidence, for sure, but not impossible.
Im inclined to believe you simply due to the fact they sell sealed boxes for significantly less than sealed cases. A sealed case should cost less or about the same until they become old and its an extra layer of authenticity.
That Pokemon won't add a couple cents to their production costs to make the shrink wrap have some chance at actually being able to verify authenticity to some extent is a shame. I mean even Metazoo could add some warranty void stickers to the seams and have unique wrap for each set 😆
It's honestly mind-boggling. They went through all the trouble to introduce the tear strip, a feature that doesn't work, but they can't be bothered to upgrade the shrink wrap at least a bit. Makes you wonder who is making the decisions at Pokémon Japan. They clearly didn't consult with experienced community members. That tear strip would have failed testing in minutes... Might be an example of classic Japanese corporate culture. You don't question the decisions of the higher ups.
Great video! I have bought and ripped close to 100 boxes from SNKR DUNK and I don’t think I have ever received a counterfeit box. What exactly would I be looking for?
Great content as always! Did you see another box coming in July?! Besides this week’s new set coming. Feels like too many cards. Hard to enjoy what there is in the moment
I had 3 orders so far and 2 more on the way. No issues so far. My last 2 orders had 1-1 damaged box (it was kinda nothing) and they sent the picture about the box and ask me what would i wanna do, cancel the whole order or move forward. I cancelled them and just ordered a new ones.
I'd say card shops like Cardrush. The problem is they don't always have everything available, and with older stuff, it gets really tricky, too. There are plenty of examples of Japanese card stores buying and selling resealed boxes unknowingly. For ultra-modern sets, they are a good and safe option. As I mentioned in the video, I wouldn't even bother buying from Japan if you are only buying a box here and there and are not in Japan.
@@Dark_ibex I tend to buy alot. My old card shop used to carry a ton of Japanese product. SInce I moved nobody in this area of US really does. I noticed alot on cardrush site was set to pickup local. I take it I need to set up a Tenso deal? So far I've opened a few of my snkrdunk boxes each purchase and all have panned out as expected. I have not gone farther back than paridigm trigger there though. I have also used mecca japan. Thanks for the help
Good vid. I just got 10 boxes of 151 in and half of them have some of the cardboard seams squished in / semi open. Hard to believe that can happen/that many when they are mostly stacked on top of each other, so I'm thinking the seller chose to ship me their poorer quality boxes. Passed snkrdunk's verification but just kinda sucks, not sure if they're willing to do anything about it so like you said, maybe this will just be a gamble each time :/
@@JegErN0rsk I'm using the (English?) android app so honestly I don't think I saw this option. They make it super streamlined as if you're not ordering from individual sellers. I saw in a previous vid dark ibex said he likes to select sellers that might be a little bit more pricier than the lowest bid but I was unable to find where to do that. It's pretty much here's the lowest price, buy or not?

I bought from them a few times. If you are a collector openning packs then they are pretty great. If you are planning on sealed products, don't bother. They OPEN pretty much all boosters to "authenticate" them. They say so in the disclaimer
Could you specify what you mean by them opening the boosters? I have never heard of anything like. That would be insane. Can you tell me where I can find that disclaimer?
@Dark_ibex oh no worries. When you go to their site and select a booster box, say One Piece Two Legends Box for example, there is a disclaimer under the picture saying "The Box will be opened at time of inspection to check the packs".
You can also email them on the process and they will confirm it for you (I emailed them to ask previously about the disclaimer lol). I will add though, that even with all this, they are legit, my booster box purchases always had the proper hits and super rares. But folks should be aware and make the choices themselves
great video, learned something new! and thanks for dropping my video in the links

That's correct. You can't combine orders like that.

Can 151 box’s be weighed ?
@@mirror687 No, Packs can be weighed for hits (exs and up), but not entire booster boxes-at least not consistently.

I'm not sure what you mean by dead boxes. All Japanese Pokemon boxes have a guaranteed hit rate, and the hit you get is random.
