Even better, I give you some tips and tricks on where to find the best Pokemon deals in Tokyo, Japan.

Hello!
Could you please share the names of the different shops you visited?
Thanks mate!
Such an awesome collection!
Thanks for the comment! I mention all the names in the video.
Would be easier to visit these places if you post time stamps

Oh I'd love that Southern Islands pack! I have an incomplete set in english.
Hey, very grateful for your video but was wondering if you could list out the stores you went to? Was hoping to find out the store you mentioned at 9:25, which is on the 8th floor. Thank you!
This is awesome man thanks so much
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed the video!
Thanks for the videos! I'll visit Tokyo for five days in November and these gave some great insights and helped me prepare. Are there any more places you can recommend that have a selection of vintage common/uncommon bulk, in binders or boxes? I'm mostly searching for sets like VS, Vending machine series and older cards in general.
Nice video!
Thank you!
Thanks for the showcasing of the stores! Did you find prices higher in akihabara than other areas with card shops. That’s what I’ve been told is normal
Not really, prices are pretty comparable across all stores in Tokyo. There isn't one best area or one best store. I find cards in stores that previously had nothing worth buying and vice versa. I also go home empty handed often because nothing I looked at was worth it. This is true for all the areas.
@@Dark_ibex thanks for the feedback. I had a friend there last week check the stores out and noticed some really high prices in that area but also some great finds and hard to find cards so i guess it’s just the eBay stores from Japan sometimes have cheaper prices for some reason
@@TheProfessorJoakTCG Online will almost always be cheaper. Needing to travel to Japan to find good deals has long been a thing of the past. It's still fun to walk through the stores and pick up some cards here and there, but if the goal is to get the best prices, then online is 100% the way to go.
Hello! Do you have a list of card shops in the video? Am visit in June :)
Thank you for commenting. I do not have a list, but I mentioned all the names in the video.
@@Dark_ibex it would be helpful to make a list... given you have mainly English speaking viewers, it's not instinctual to know how to spell the names or figure out the pronunciations
@@TyrellNayquan I understand that, but my view or philosophy comes from a bit of a different perspective. A list would simply save some time, but having to explore at least a little bit is half the fun of going card hunting in Japan. On top of that, if someone just followed a list I made, they might miss tons of other stores I didn't cover in the videos.
None of these stores are hard to find. In addition to saying the name, I usually show the outside of the building, film the walk up to the stores, show the sign of the stores outside the building, and/or say which floor a store is on. If someone actually wants to go there, they will find the stores. Even without knowing how to spell the name, a quick Google Maps search in the area for card stores and clicking through the results will tell you where they are within a few minutes. Lastly, a list would also encourage some people who discover the videos to just grab the list and leave. That's not the point or goal of these videos, and it feels like you are being used. This isn't a big deal, but people who are actually interested and care to watch the videos will have no issue finding these stores.
Porygon flashes in here! Probably best to put a warning up tbh
i found the stores to be too similar in akihabra, but maybe i need to check again hopfully in November. Any other areas you checkeeed in Japan?
going next month, in general what do you think is the best card shops for pokemon with fair prices around tokyo? I heard ikebukuro has really good places.
Thanks for watching! Check out my Ikebukuro video. I'd say just go to as many as you can and compare prices before buying anything. Some are better than others, but it always depends. Have fun on your trip!
@@Dark_ibex Thanks! Actually just found your ikebukuro video today and it was really helpful, keep pumping content, you got a loyal viewer now haha
@@platy_jedi Thanks so much! Glad you like the videos. Heading out to Shibuya today for another video. Hopefully, I can find some cards this time, lol
@@Dark_ibex No way! thats where I am staying a lot throughout my trip, cant wait!
Were they all only cash or did some shops take card?
Most take cards, but it's always good to have cash on hand in Japan.
Good to know prices are terrible in Japan too..
The prices just reflect the current market. I wish everything was as cheap as it was in 2016 lol.
@@Dark_ibex 100% 2016 is when Pokémon go came out so the resurgence in the fan base helped skyrocket the prices..
Hey, would you be able to send me all the names
