I seriously have enjoyed using this camera in NYC as a V owner it def felt significant as an update but keep watch we have more coming from our use with it during our current trip to Japan for the Fujifilm X Summit !
You successfully showed the magic of the X100 lineup while giving specifics about why the X100VI is awesome. This is one of the best videos for those just entering the X100 hype train. Thank you!
Great to see a factual, well presented rundown on this camera. I have one on backorder and obviously started to look on youtube etc for reviews/comments and goodness me there is so much negativity (jealousy?) surrounding this camera!
Well done. I think you hit every point with this camera, I'm excited to get my hands on it, or next time I'm at Adorama, I will permanently borrow yours. The camera looks like a beast.
Hi, I like the flexibility of being able to use a button to digitally zoom in to 50mm and 75mm. Can you still do this when the 50mm extender lens is attached? Thank you.
Thank you thank you thank you. Your informative exciting video is inspiring, I have just got this camera and did wonder if I had done the right thing. After watching this I realised as you showed you have just got to grab the darn thing by the horns and wrestle it to the ground and then get on with it, learn how to use everything thing it’s got and really enjoy it. 🎉
Hey there - do you know if the X100Vi allows you to assign the digital teleconverter to one of the buttons instead of the command dial? I can’t find it as an option. Thanks.
Awesome little setup. I really want one, however, have to pay off a couple things first. That would be a fun Little camera to throw on a wrist strap and just stroll! Thanks Seth for a great rundown of this versatile camera!
2:54 thanks for the info, how can I get while in the hybrid OVF mode the full image? Cause I only see the magnification, want to see the full image on the bottom-right through the tiny screen, not only the zoom thingy. thanks!
I’ve waited some time for this camera. I wanted a X100V and couldn’t find one so opted for a X100F for a short time. Currently using a X-S20 mkII with 23mm f/2 as I missed the IBIS of the X-T5. Looks like I’ll be added the X100VI to my inventory 😊
A great video as always brutha. I’m anxiously awaiting an xpro4, but might need to pick this up to hold me over as my xpro2, x100s and x70 are all getting a little long in the tooth. P.S. Your graf shots and the Joe’s pizza box are really making me miss home.
I loved my X100V, whenever I went out I took it with me, was fantastic for street photography. I traded it in last year so I could buy an RF85 1.2, but it was tough giving it up. The only thing I wanted in an upgrade was stabilisation, so everything else on top of that... I may be buying an IV at some point...
Great overview, thanks for sharing. You cover a lot of ground in a short time. Great tip on the in camera flash, and the use of slow shutter speed - just what I was looking for! If I can give you a bit of feedback - try and cut out the 'if that makes sense' (only really useful speaking to a real person face to face). Keep up the great work! Joe from Dundee, Scotland
Perfect review as always. Instead of using extra teleconverter, Using digital focal length of 28 and 50mm from menu, makes the images lower than 40mp because it’s using crop mode?
I have a question about the digital teleconverter settings in X100VI. Wherever I set to OFF, 50mm or 70mm, I still can get the same working results when turning the ring no matter what. Even I leave at OFF, I still can zoom to 50mm and 70mm. Any thoughts? Thanks
Hi can you explain further what you are talking about when you say put it in TTL mode drop 1 to 2 stops? I know your speaking of the flash but what is TTLband how does it relate to stops? Im new and ordered the camera and want to know how to use it like an expert! Thanks
Has anyone received a camera yet? In the major campaign to launch this camera everyone was talking about it being made in China now so they can keep up with demand. They collected I'm sure millions in orders and here we are approaching mid-March and you cant get one except from scalpers. Does anyone have projected dates when Fujifilm will be shipping out orders??
This was really informative and great timing as I'm getting started in (digital) photography. I've been shooting film for a year for friends and looking to get into somewhat professional film-like digital shoots for small elopements etc. Would this be a good camera for professional photos or do you recommend something like the XT30ii where I can change lenses?
Does anyone knows how de sensor cleaning work at X100VI. Does it shakes the sensor? Since it's a compact design, what even the purpose is to have a sensor cleaning in it?
For years, my favorite NYC walk about camera has been the Lumix LX100, but now it's discontinued. This is looking like a good alternate. Shutter and aperture controls work the same. Bigger sensor, but the Lumix has a 24-70mm equivalent zoom, and I really use 24mm a lot. Also, auto bracketing for HDR is vital too.
Hi... I have a question: What hand strap are you using with the X100vi? I have an X100vi enroute from Adorama. I intend for this, like many people, to be the camera I carry with me day-to-day. But I also have slightly slippery hands sometimes so a good hand strap is going to be very important for my effective use of this camera. I have been researching options, but something like you appear to use might just work for me too. Thanks!
This has been my main concern since launch. Before pre-orders opened, it was silver without doubt but with so many of the content using the black one.. I came to realize how sleek and stealthily it looks. It even looks more compact. I did pre order it in silver and am okay with it since it was my initial choice and also it’s my first Fuji.. all my cameras are and have been black. So a classic looking silver is the way I’m going but for sure the black is the next x100 for me in the future.
I was curious about the naming scheme of all these x100 cameras, and a RUclipsr brought up that the letter after was the first letter of the number, sort of. The x100, x100s (second), x100t (third), x100f (fourth), but since the fifth starts with an F, that’s why it’s x100v for the numeral designation as well as the sixth. I think they probably should have stuck with numerals, but I’m guessing they weren’t thinking that far ahead or believed this line of cameras would sell as big as they have in recent years. Who knows? I guess only Fujifilm does.
Given there near 1 million pre-orders, and that production is around only 15,000 per month, can it really be expected that my pre-order will ever ship, or is that a hopeless reality now?
looks like they are using the old battery, not a deal breaker, but the new ones are so much better. I guess would have been hard to fit in that small package
Yea I hear you but I have to say having used this camera for a couple weeks now the battery life is improved I haven’t found myself having to swap often at all which is thanks to the new and more efficient processor
Well it was previously X100 X100S for second X100T for third X100F for Fourth X100V for Fifth Sooo this is the one they actually are calling a number of 6 instead of a letter it is marked
Yes, but V for fifth didn't you always get it was a roman numeral? They gave up on the previous naming scheme at five, and as a pun they used V because the roman numeral is equal to a letter and the previous naming scheme were letters. It was clearly an inside joke before. Now with the six it's an inside joke gone public.
Right and the last one was V Roman numeral for five but was called ..the “Vee”. And most people are going to type in VI to search for it.. Regardless I said they are actually going to call it the six anyways. So breathe .. or in your words “jeez”
You should have presented at Fuji XSummit...which was seriously boring. 1. Weather/dust sealing should not be an "option" by not including the filter ring in the box, on day one. 2. Having, say, a 256 G internal memory or a 2nd SD slot would truly allow this camera to be used professionally. Oh well...maybe in the X100VII?
I seriously have enjoyed using this camera in NYC as a V owner it def felt significant as an update but keep watch we have more coming from our use with it during our current trip to Japan for the Fujifilm X Summit !

Very extensive and enjoyable video. Thank you!

Great job. I love this information on the camera. It has me so hyped and happy that I have it on back order.
Great presentation. Thanks
Excellent presentation ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Great review.. Really useful and clear info that other reviews didnt cover

Great review of this highly anticipated release 🎉
FINALLY! IT'S HERE!
Best real use reviews on camera and lenses you’ll find on the web👍👍👍
This looks like a very fun and well featured camera. Camera market is packed with great products.
Nice video thanks

I also want to know

Little camera to throw on a wrist strap and just stroll! Thanks Seth for a great rundown of this versatile camera!
Thanks. I'll check back in July, when I get mine.

Best review on YT and looking forward to getting mine (ordered from Adorama of course).

I’m a beginner, those train black and white shots are gorgeous just preordered mine
Superb presentation. Thank you! Greetings from Scotland.

That tragic pizza box in the trash… I get it
Loved the video, preordered from adorama ❤️
Thank you!

Great video , thanks ! How about a second video exploring autofocus options and back-button AF ?
I just call mine xvi. nice video! helped a lot
Glad it helped!
When is the next shipment coming out?

As far as the shutter count on this camera, what is the shutter count life on the X100VI ? Would appreciate a reply on that...

Can it be used as a webcam too? / for livestream?
Will it work with Instax Link printers directly?
For the new X100VI would you get the silver or black?
Black. Easier to read the letters and numbers.
I would prfer the blue one 😅

If only they made a 60mm companion version. Great review.
How is the close up capability? Any examples?
Where's the x100v video you referenced at the end of the video
Sorry about that. Here ya go

Does buying a Fujifilm Adapter ring AR-X100 and a Black Mist filter make the lens weather resistant/proof as the Protector Filter PRF-49 does?
Any filter with the adapter seals the front. So yes..
Great review
Do you know what you need to buy to make it water resistant?
Same lens filter adapter ring (AR-X100) as with any X100 and any sort of filter
Once you add the filter adapter with a 49mm filter the weather resistance is completed to protect front of lens which is what is required.
Yes, but is the lens good enough when you are used to the 18mm 1.4 or 33mm 1.4? Don't think so.
which color look in real life better silver/black ?
looks like they are using the old battery, not a deal breaker, but the new ones are so much better. I guess would have been hard to fit in that small package

I think that if the previous was V and the next one is VI is clear that they are five and six.
Well it was previously
X100
X100S for second
X100T for third
X100F for Fourth
X100V for Fifth
Sooo this is the one they actually are calling a number of 6 instead of a letter it is marked

Price?
I wish I had the $$$ for this camera but I’m saving for a new MacBook Pro which I need. Maybe I get a few gigs and save up for an X100VI
LOL. It is not "Vee" "I" It is 6. As in Roman numeral 6. Jeez.
Right and the last one was V Roman numeral for five but was called ..the “Vee”. And most people are going to type in VI to search for it.. Regardless I said they are actually going to call it the six anyways. So breathe .. or in your words “jeez”
95% of the review sample shots in B&W for a camera/brand known for its colour reproduction
Yay, some more years of scarcity.
The train shots don't make sense to me. If you were on the train, how is the train blurred and the sign outside not? The other way around makes sense.
'X100-6' - that's the official way to say the name according to Fujifilm
🤝🤝
👏
You should have presented at Fuji XSummit...which was seriously boring.

"you're gonna say VI"? didn't you watch the presentation? the CREATORS of the camera said the name many times: X100 SIX!
"Does that make any sense".... said 22 times.
Hopefully I don’t have to wait until 2027 to get one. 🙄
Which color you like
U got the best shots among reviewers. Of course, U're in NY.
Well I still appreciate that lol
Not enough upgrades for an entire new camera release. It's basically the 100V with a newer processor and sensor. BIG DEAL.
This camera has really bad image quality
Meh...
