I got a job offer in another state 6 hrs away, and they cover housing, and meals for 6 weeks, and I see this as a golden ticket. I'm 29 living at home, and who would I not be to take this opportunity? I'd be crazy.
I’ve came across your video and I’ve been experiencing years of domestic violence from my kids father who’s addicted to cocaine. I have an opportunity to move to the other side of the country. It’s beautiful there. But I’ll be leaving my family and friends. I’ll be alone with my three kids and God. Please keep me in prayer. I’m hopeful but I’m scared. Nic x
Hopefully everything turned out well to you. I can almost assure you it did because God took the wheel on this one. Take deep breaths I am proud of you. God bless
I just moved from Buffalo to Austin about 3 weeks ago, job paid for my relocation and that has made everything so much more manageable. I agree with you brother, if you don’t have a plan, then you’re planning to fail.
Exactly! Some people feel like they need to struggle to succeed like these entrepreneurs say on podcasts, when another way is planning it out and enjoying the journey to success. Congratulations 🍾🎊🎈🎉
I’m thinking of the Texas area as well (I’m in Florida), how it is living there since you moved ? I’m weighing all my options . I was looking at Houston but I didn’t like the crime rate there
When I enquired about a house to escape the nursing home one of the estate agents told me mum about it. Soo have no choice but to leave my home town after that. So much for home town
My plan is to mive from Philly to Dallas. I'm 26 and never left Philly. My plan is to stay in an Airbnb for a few months to get a feel for Dallas before getting a lease. I'm definitely bringing my Eagles gear and Meek Mill music lol.
I feel like I need to move away to really become the best version of myself, I’m giving myself 2 years max to leave my hometown. I am from philly and have been my whole life, im ready for so much more and I know I can have it! Thanks for this video!
I am planning my move as we speak in 6 months . But I moved digitally and mentally I am in monk mode locked in with my goals . I’m actually looking at DC Or Maryland with my mom just moved and sister been living there . I feel this !! Thank you
My family moved away a few years ago, I've always looked at the news there, but recently I've started to miss it more then ever, I don't even know why.. I just do.
I lived in London for 3 years from the age of 17 until I was 20, initially I moved there because my mom did, I had a really overwhelming experience filled with trials and tribulations while still creating some really good memories and developing myself, I got really overwhelmed and moved back home. I thought moving back home would’ve been better for me and the goals I want to achieve, now that I’ve been home for a year I only realized how beneficial being away from home really is. I can’t say I regret coming home because it gave me perspective on how one’s environment can affect them good and bad. My goal now is to save up and move somewhere different.
It was easy because you were prepared with a plan and the opportunity come to you👏🏽 when I moved out my parents house I was my best self I was at peace I deffly wanna get back to that
Great video! I agree with you completely. Just so everyone knows..there are jobs that will pay to relocate you. The education field is always in need of teachers and para educators. But if that’s not something you’re interested in, I’d look into jobs with paid relocation in general. Hope that helps!
Finally moved away from my hometown for good last week. Looking back I can’t believe I stayed that long. Sooo many wasted years that i’m not proud of but for the first time in my life I am truly looking forward to the future🙏
budget. look into airbnb's. You won't need to worry about utilities and or bills other then the fee of the apartment. It does not have to be longterm. You can do it a couple of months and if you like it stay longer. If not, you can find other options like moving back home or getting another airbnb. look at jobs and apply for them about 2 months before you may be able to not miss a paycheck and get offered more money. Don't give up on this thought. Keep Going.
Such bad advice. How about you make some routes when you're growing up, be responsible and turn your hometown into the place you want your kids to grow up in. Most folks who leave their Hometown do so because they failed at making connections or maintaining moral virtues. Sometimes it's good to leave your hometown, but most people I know who have done so have not done so with pure or good intentions, but rather to run away from the failures of their past. And that is disgusting, our society should not have that ripcord, we should not have this kind of safety net because that is exactly why hometowns become used and abused, people come, they grow up and they destroy the town, then they leave.
Sounds like a personal problem lol. Nobody told you you couldn’t go back to your home town or stay in the same place forever. If this video isn’t for you then just say that. Some people need to experience new things to have a better understanding of life. You don’t wanna get stuck with a small town mentality.
