Ephesians 6:10-18
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit,which is the word of God.
Do not be ignorant to what demons can do!
The Bible provides various insights into what demons or the devil are allowed to do to believers. While believers are ultimately protected by God, they can still face spiritual attacks and temptations. Here are some key points based on biblical teachings:
1. **Temptation**:
- **Verses**: "Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil." (Matthew 4:1, NIV)
- **Explanation**: Satan and his demons can tempt believers, attempting to lead them into sin. This is evident in the temptation of Jesus, where Satan tried to entice Him to sin.
2. **Accusation**:
- **Verses**: "For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down." (Revelation 12:10, NIV)
- **Explanation**: The devil is described as an accuser who brings accusations against believers, aiming to undermine their faith and confidence in God's grace.
3. **Deception**:

- **Explanation**: Demons and the devil can deceive believers by presenting falsehoods as truth, leading them away from God's teachings.
4. **Oppression and Affliction**:

5. **Hindrance**:

6. **Spiritual Warfare**:

In summary, while demons and the devil can tempt, accuse, deceive, oppress, hinder, and engage in spiritual warfare against believers, Christians are equipped with spiritual resources and authority in Christ to resist and overcome these attacks.
