Yeah you definitely do an injustice to yourself reacting to these individually, Kendrick albums are movies that need to be listened to in their entirety. You can definitely pick stuff up and enjoy the songs on their own but you’ll be missing so much depth and understanding, I promise you’ll thank us 🙏

@@JUKEJAMS To pimp a butterfly is an amazing album (was actually the first album I listened to of Kendrick’s myself) but I definitely wouldn’t start with it if I got to pick, in my opinion its best to do either section 80 or good kid madd city. Section 80 is his first studio album so he hasn’t quite perfected his story telling abilities but there is a lot of amazing songs on there (plus a track called Keisha’s song that gives context for a song on good kid madd city) Good kid madd city is a movie, I mean he even says it himself “a short film by Kendrick Lamar” and it’s literally one of the best rap albums of all time
Listening to Kendrick’s singles is not the way. Each album is a movie or broadway play. You can’t pause in between tracks. It’s an experience. Would you pause a marvel movie 15 times? Just do albums and cut the videos into single videos or whole album reactions. Listening to singles just makes him a artist. Until you listen to albums you can’t truly appreciate what you are hearing.
Nah I got into Kendrick by listening to his singles and you kind of have to pause on a reaction channel you can always go back and listen to a album in full when Kendrick does a show he usually mix songs from multiple albums in one set
