Have been using this guy for a few months. Will say overall, yep, it looks freakin amazing. Built like tank. The expanding magnets to tidy it up are super cool. It is probably optimal to use when it is not full, as Aaron noted. Ways I would improve it: 1. strap foam needs to be longer and cushier - or maybe some way in future version to have 2 or 1 straps, possibly removable, or ability to install your own. 2. designated ac adapter space - even with a 13" notebook in notebook slot, can just barely cram an adapter in there. 3. interior contrast needed 4. when the pack is completely loaded out, all the time - it feels pretty heavy. After walking around wearing it loaded for only an hour, I wish it had 2 straps... and thus, not a sling. D'oh. On top loading: for various reasons I EDC stuff that I don't use every day, but they are things I always want have with me. So top-loading-only not a big deal. Otherwise agree w Aaron that top loading with no other way to get into bag is eh. Maybe if like some other top loaders (wandrd et al), Boundary had split the little guy into two compartments, one w side entry and left the top separate, that might have worked better. You would not be able to fit anything but small items in there tho. Related, I took a look recently at the Wandrd Prvke Lite - but 11-16L is just tooo small, if their liter #'s are correct.
Wow, so... this is one of those rare moments where a video was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Great video. I want an everyday sling for my ipad 13", maybe a weekend set of clothes, general stuff, and my camera (Peak's Capture clip buckled onto the strap). Nomatic's sling was too small for my iPad and Peak Design's sling was too big and it wears more like a messenger bag than a sling (and I specifically DON'T like messenger bags). I watched both your videos on these bags and it confirmed what I was afraid of. I've NEVER even heard of Boundary Supply, and this is almost perfect and exactly what I was looking for. So, thanks! Great production quality, great information, and entertaining enough without being obnoxious or distracting from the useful information I actually wanted to know! Fantastic video! Only downside... if I used your link in the description, and sadly, it says the bag is only for PREorder, which saddens me.
Hey dude, thanks so much for the kind words and super excited to hear we were able to set you in the right direction! Let us know what you think of the sling once you get it - it's a great piece of gear :)
As always, great review! Boundary, if you see this comment, as a Prima System and a former Errant owner, IMHO the Errant 2.0 just needs to be a larger Arclite in a backpack formfactor.
@@Nomads.Nation Hy! Do You think the laptop compartment will fit an a4 size, school exercise book, which has 150 pages, alongside a 14 inch mbp, and 12.9 ipad, with the fabricy smart keyboard folio?
I think the extra strap is for stability. When your doing something active like biking or hiking you dont want the sling to flopp around all over the place. So you hook the strap so it cant swing around to the front or bounce around
I was considering this sling, but I carry both 12.9 iPad Pro and a laptop. Prima system looked like overkill so I went with the Errant in Slate Blue. I was also considering the PD messenger in my last comments, but just am not a PD fan after trying the zip. Top loader doesn’t bother me and I don’t have any issues with the magnets on the flap. I’ve had this bag for 6mos now and after having 6 other slings, this is perfect for me, I wear a brace on my leg, I’m diabetic and asthmatic and need to carry meds, usually I pad 12.9 and change of clothes. This bag is great I can throw my med kits and edc small bags all into large compartment while keeping inhale in not so small upper compartment along with, shades, packs of Splenda, and hearing aid kit with room to spare. Even full it’s the most comfortable bag to carry. As far as the the top loading you call the black hole can be access by swinging it around and reach in.

Thanks for your comment Jason! Yup, it’s not a cheap bag, but given the high quality materials and exceptional build it should last for years and pay for itself many times over
Hi...in your opinion ...do you think it may be possible to pair this sling worn frontally with a backpack on the back? .... For business trips of 3-4 days.
I know this video is two years old and everyone has probably figured this out, but Boundary sells some accessories for those latches. They have a nice "Aux Compartment" in case those 15L weren't enough, as you can attach 3 additional litters.
@@Nomads.Nation Aaron do you think this is a good sling for someone who likes to carry a bunch of pouches (some useful, some not 🤣). I'm looking for a high capacity sling with little organization to stuff it with pouches.
There are sub-20 litre back packs that when not over stuffed work well with a single shoulder strap cross body. This way you don't have to take the backpack off to swing to the front to access the contents - camera, passport etc. At this size two straps come useful to reduce the strain on a one shoulder.
@@Nomads.Nation I use the Bobby Bizz 17 litre this way. Put both straps away on public transport and carry brief case. If over packed , by weight I have a third party waist belt to use as a shoulder strap or when used as a back pack. The supplied shoulder strap for use over a should has very heavy G clips. Cross a single strap for quick access in side and swing to the back when taking photographs on the street, at an event or touring. The Temporary Forever 24 and 48 hour back packs can be carried this way. The Hackpack, the two brief case style backpacks from Tom Bihn.
