Love how you are caring about the environment enough to buy environmentally conscious items like this. Thank you for this review! Also extra heart points for linking the blue sign certification, handsome and considerate!? ;)
I continue to love and use it a few years later. It’s a great cross between a large sling and a small backpack. It’s the only sling I can use for work legitimately if I want to
Have you checked the latest Wandrd project? If you are looking for space and camera protection, it looks great... But finding a "flat looking" bag for camera may be difficult as you may need some "bulkyness" to protect it against all kind of shocks.
Hey @electrosec. I think the buckle is really secure honestly. I have the same mechanism on a couple other bags and it is a real nice mental buckle, has an industrial feel to it... and it’s so satisfying to fidget with if that’s your thing
This bag doesn't need padding imo. What it does need is. A better front pocket. Molly webbing on the outside. The lid flap could also be a pocket. A water bottle pocket could be cool but I can put one inside so no big deal. The main opening could benefit from a zipper than can just be left open and undone or closed up. Zipper keeper loops. And maybe a zipper pouch near the top in the main compartment. An option for a conversion to a 2 strap back pack could be awesome also.
David would you be able to fit a 15/16inch computer in the main compartment? I know it’s not padded, so maybe with a sleeve or something? Seems all the 15/16inch slings are massive in comparison. Great video!
You MIGHT be able to force one in but definitely not with a sleeve. It would be too big then. I would not recommend this as a primary carry for a large laptop (>15 inches)
@@DaveSam13 You are welcome David! While you can use different inserts to carry gear in the Arclite, one should be clear about the different concept of the Arclite as compered to for example slings from PeakDesign. Other slings are designed to give quick access to the gear using a side access once the sling had been pulled around. However, the Arclite is rather designed as a small backpack. You have to take the bag off to get full access the the main compartment. Only the organization compartment on the front has double access from both sides for quick access similar to other slings. Have fun with the Arclite! It is a great fun bag!
I like the xpac version more in terms of look, especially with the yellow liner. Practically though I think it’s worth it if you find yourself in the rain/outside a lot with chance of getting wet. I’ve never used the AER sling
Enjoyed your review but I'm really looking for a review of this product that includes, not only what it looks like when worn on the front but also how that feels when combined with a pack on the back
Great Review! I have been eyeing this bag for a while now and I believe you are the only review with this X-Pac version( they sell a basic non xpac version also) how long did it take for you to recieve it? It does mention Preorder.
Thank you! It really is a great bag for the size and price. The Xpac version is beautiful. I purchased my on Kickstarter with the chase pants campaign. It took about 8 months from order to hands but I’m not sure that’s a good representation of what to expect from the pre order. I can tell you that of the 5 orders I’ve gotten from boundary supply all of them were significantly delayed (5+ months). Obviously I keep ordering stuff though so it’s safe to say I love the products once I receive them.
Nice review on the Arclite Sling. The bag seems to be a bit overkill as a sling but not enough organization compared to a backpack. But the unique features in this bag really make it stand out from others.
I bought the Sling bag from Boundary Supply after watching this RUclips. Super review !! I like your explanation.
Thanks for the compliment! And I hope you like the sling. It’s one of my favorites!

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully more and more companies make it easier for us to get environmentally conscious products in the coming years!
@@DaveSam13 Yes hopefully! (crosses fingers) Reviews like this help push those dreams into reality!
Odd question for a bag review, but may I ask what glasses you wear? Been looking for similar ones. (Already own the Xpac Arclite.)
Haha no worries. These are from Warby Parker, The Otis I believe.
How has this bag been treating you? I’m debating on I t

Yeah I know I’m asking for a lot in this one haha. I did back that project I just haven’t revised it yet. I’m excited to try it out though!
@@DaveSam13 i do understand your standards as i'm looking for the same kind of stuff haha! Always try to get better EDC!
Hahah one day we’ll all find the perfect bag for us but today is not that day
Hey mate I was wondering, How secure is the shoulder strap magnet buckle? Do you think it will come undone if someone tried to yank it off you?
Hey @electrosec. I think the buckle is really secure honestly. I have the same mechanism on a couple other bags and it is a real nice mental buckle, has an industrial feel to it... and it’s so satisfying to fidget with if that’s your thing
Can it fit an Asus zephyrus g14 2022? And a huwaei matebook e oledbin one?
Or the duo 14 oled 2022
I think yes. It’s a fairly large compartment but the g14 will likely push the boundaries here.
@@DaveSam13 boundaries, yes :D you catched it right, and thanks. and asus duo 14 x oled 2022 my fit as well, and lenovo yoga lim 7i pro x 2022?

the bellroy venture looks real nice
I can tell you from experience the venture is very nice
Wow how did u get one ive been waiting half year 😅😅
Haha I ordered mine during the chase pants Kickstarter but it also took several months to come to me. I’d say worth the wait though!
The Arclite Sing fits the Lowepro GearUp Creator Box L II to carry camera gear.
Thanks for the tip Matthias!

Is it worth to get the x-pac version? Have you compare this with AER travel sling?

Thanks for the advice.
looks like the rhake from mission workshop
Pls tell me if i need to order the strap and key holder xtra or ?
The anchor strap comes with the bag but the key holder is extra
@@DaveSam13 1 more question pls, before i go pre order, the key dock is alrdy built in or i ned to buy the key holder (HT Key Clip) and key dock too?
@@luish.1950 yes that’s exactly correct

Ahh got it. Thanks for checking out the video. I’ll def take the feedback for future slings
Great review. Unbelievable, there were only 40 subscribers before I subscribed!
Thank you! Appreciate the follow too!
I don't know if they make it anymore, but Timbuck2 Never Check expandable is my fav
Ohh yeah! I have that bag and really like it too. I wish it had a hip strap though

The front strap slots are for pens.
internal dimensions of main compartment?
Not huge. I believe it’s 8L expandable to 15L

You are exactly correct. It’s weird because I still find myself grabbing it almost everyday. It really is a great bag!
Makes me wanna but the chrome kadet, but I don’t think you can fit a 13” laptop.
Great video David! Subscribed and can't wait to check out more of your vids. #packhackerpro ;-)
Thanks Mark! I look forward to your channel too!
What wallet is that? Nice review btw
Thanks! Niks minimalist wallet from Tom Bihn
This or the stasis ??
Hmm that’s a tough one! I’d still go with this though over the stasis, unless you are buying the arris too
@@DaveSam13 thanks :) isn’t it possible to also attach more pouches on both of these ?
Have you discovered the "perfect" sling yet?
Like, as a concept or a company?
You really love saying your name don’t you
Yes. Yes I do.
