I'm 27 F and have always described my jaw line like melting! No one before understood what I meant but someone finally gets it. Thanks for the tip, will start mewing!!
I do not recommend chewing gum ! , every time you chew it automatic release saliva and hydrochloric acid in your stomach .If you dont have any food in your stomach it will eventually go to ulcer or other stomach problems , like acid reflux etc.Exercises are the best way for a strong jawline for now !
@@alexxenaosas2416 I meant exercises, I also try to chew gum more but only after eating :), the minty ones make the mouth feel cleaner so that's an added bonus, almost like cleaning teeth xd I already have acid reflux problems though, used to have gastritis. Thanks for caring and giving info:)
@@alexxenaosas2416 it takes around 2 16 pack gum sticks for that to be a risk and if its a problem you can just eat before or after so gum is still a viable option ive been chewing a bunch for a couple months now and i see a big improvement in my jawline

As a 15-year-old, I saw one of his videos and heard of mewing. I used to breathe through my mouth as a kid, and my facial development was quite bad, like a true nerd with a long face syndrome and mouth breathing symptoms lol. As a 16-year-old, my jawline and face have gotten much better now that my tongue is always on the roof of my mouth, my posture is straight, and my breathing is through my nose. I'm really grateful that I learned about this early. Keep it up Bret!
Sameeee I started at 15 and in not even a year I got a way better jawline. I didn't have one at all before and now I have a decent one. It'll prob get better in time tho bc I'm young and growing.
What's really weird is as a kid I was a heavy mouth breather but I got pretty lucky because I never had a receding chin. In fact I have a concave profile.
I am 15 and I recently started mewing. I knew about mewing because of your channel which I am grateful for. Thanks for giving us amazing tips to better ourselves and overall appearance.
I started mewing around when I turned 14, it turned out to be one of the best decisions i've made. Mewing is the kind of thing that you don't need time for, you can just do it, and there's no reason why not to.
@@clickbait1379 Mewing isn't an exercise like in the gym. You don't do it x amount of time per day or do x amount of "reps". You should be mewing constantly and it should be a permanent change for the rest of your life
34 now found out about it when i was 32. never been regular mewer but still works. the bone on the roof of your mouth has cracks like your skull does and you can expand it even later in life.
I am 24 years old, heard about mewing in May this year, I started mewing, I have an assymetrical facial structure, breath through my mouth, slept with my mouth open and even unconsciously found my mouth open during the afternoon, also assymetrical dental fomula and a receding chin. First 3 days into mewing where the hardest It hurt, my jaw and neck hurt, I had breathing issues since I used to breath through my mouth and kept waking up at night to correct my tongue posture. It was hard! Next days after it got easier, I was determined to mew day and night so I did just that. 4 months into mewing, I started seeing a noticeable change my face started becoming symmetrical, my teeth got better, my mouth was always closed during the day( still struggling at night but it got so much better) , the receding chin had not changed but I started seeing a jaw line forming. 5 months into mewing: my friends started asking what I have been doing to my face because I am getting prettier, my mouth is always shut even at night, mewing is effortless now, I nose-breath even while exercising, the facial assymetry is almost negligible now! I love the results. It's gonna be a life-long practice I will update whenever I remember. Age does factor into mewing but If you are older it just means it'll take more time for you to see results not that it won't happen at all. I am getting my entire family into mewing especially my younger siblings, they'll thank me later.
I’ll be 24 in less than a month and I was kinda upset that I only have 1 year to upgrade my face lol recently my husband and I were taking a look on some pictures of us on our teenager years and we noticed that I had a very defined jawline, I still have an ok jawline but not as defined. Watching this video I realized that I’ve changed some habits and now I only breath to my mouth (changing this right now). My husband has only breath to his nose his entire life and he has Superman’s jawline, it’s crazy. I’m starting today and I hope I can get as much improvement as you got. As long as beauty procedures are not required to my improvement I’ll do it the natural way
mewing is also what speech therapists teach you when you have a lisp. Usually they also give you exercises to strengthen your facial and tongue muscles, which is especially helpful for people who lack the strength to correctly mew.
stick to it, if anything double down on time and hardness of gum chewing, sometimes it takes a little longer but when it does happen you can almost see yourself morphing in real time and chicks love that.
That’s because Brett actually has the genetics, like most kids they didn’t have it before puberty, but he clearly has the genetics. He’d have it if he did nothing too.
When I was young my mother told me to breath thought my nose and got mad when I didn't. I never understood why until now. This video probably isn't where she got it from but I'm happy she told me to.
I had a disfunctional nose until I was 18. Basically impossible to breath normally through my nose all my life. Parents didn't really think it was a problem until we visited a doctor when I was 17 and they found out I had bone and cartilage blocking my airways thus making it super narrow. Now im 20, have a mouth breather face but at least I can breath through my nose now...
i love these kind of videos, the information is detailed and direct, in spanish there are a bunches of people trying to explain these things in their channels, but horribly twisting the information.
I'm 28 and have been a mouthbreather for most of my life. I consider my jawline okay but not as masculine as humanly possible. Didn't even realize what I was doing wrong until I was in my 20s when I was diagnosed with sleep apnea. Just discovered mewing and other channels on RUclips talking about tongue posture, nose breathing, chewing hard gum, etc. For those of us who are older than 25, use me as a guinea pig. Reply to my comment in 6 months, or a year, or several years, and ask me if my jawline has improved. Wish me luck! FIRST UPDATE: 2023-03-22 After chewing lots of gum, for 2-4 hours a day 5 days a week, I started having TMJ issues with my right jaw. Makes it a little painful chewing. Have to chew on the left side mostly. Also having right ear pain. Probably going to have to see the doctor if it doesn't clear up soon. SECOND UPDATE: 2023-05-04 I haven't had jaw pain for at least a week. The TMJ issue was most severe for the first week or two, became mild in the third week, and was barely noticeable. Never went to the doctor about it. Cleared up on its' own. Did not mew much during this time, but briefly I did on occasion. THIRD UPDATE: 2023-06-21 Started mewing again, on occasion. Not constant due to the issues I had last time. Stopped chewing gum completely. Seems like my enormous dinners that take 30+ minutes to chew are enough for my masseter muscles already. Minimal noticeable jawline improvement thus far from mewing, however losing 50 lbs these last 5 months has made my facial structure much more angular and less "round". Will continue to update when ppl remind me! FOURTH UPDATE: 2023-07-18 Having lost a lost of weight recently, about 55 lbs, I cannot tell for certain what has contributed to any possible changes with my jawline more, the weight loss or the mewing. Any changes are subtle. Nothing significant thus far. FIFTH UPDATE: 2023-11-15 Down 65 lbs, my face is much less round. Got an X-ray and MRI of my skull done, turns out I have craniofacial deficiency as the right side of my face is 2mm shorter and narrower than the left side of my face. Doctors are determining what surgery to perform to fix it. Should cure my sleep apnea and make me more attractive. Orthognathic surgery, double osteotomy, not sure what comes next. Will update if the surgery doesn't kill me.
The proper tongue posture works only if you have a wide enough palate to place your tongue at the roof of your mouth. If your palate is too narrow you need to expand it to make room for your tongue. Then it will be much easier to mew. I am expanding using a homeoblock which is a removable palate expander
I think a big reason why you were able to have such an amazing results was because you figured all this out so young. You weren’t even done growing yet. The bones in your face still had time to reset and you probably hadn’t even grown into your true face yet. Most people don’t realize they have a problem with mouth breathing until they’re in their 20s or even 30s and by then a lot of damage has been done. They’re not gonna get the same kind of crazy result as you did.

Also a mouthguard helped A LOT. There's a difference between a swollen jaw and a defined jaw. It helped me breathe through my nose and helped contour my jaw more.
Good call 👍 In addition the toughness. As it enters the mouth it's very tough. But once it's chewed and reached the temperature of the mouth it's definitely not 10-15 times tougher than normal gum. Id say it's maybe 20-30% tougher

Definitely recommend breathing strips for you guys struggling to breath through your nose. Vicks vapor rub also helps open up your nasal passage ways to improve breathing
It’s not necessary By breathing through your nose your training the nose to open up and not be closed so within a day of nose breathing it should be clear

Allergy shots for 5-6 years. Neti pot, saline solution, have tried it all. Have had a dozen doctors look in my nose and ask are you sure you're using the Flonase everyday correctly? Yes Allergy and asthma doctor taught me the correct way to use it.
@@eternalgeminiro I thought I was the only one. My allergies and asthma got a little better as I grew up, but they come back when triggered. My little brother doesn’t have allergies and has a chiseled jawline so I know genetically it was possible for me to get the same. However, all that time of me having to mouth breathe because I literally couldn’t breathe from my nose inhibited my jawline from reaching its genetic potential. What makes matters worse is during my childhood & teenage summer breaks I had to help my father work in his lawn maintenance business so I was constantly exposed to things that caused my allergies lol. That plus the physical labor gave me no choice but the mouth breathe so I wouldn’t pass out in the hot weather. My jaw isn’t recessed which I am thankful for but it isn’t chad-like. I’m not sure mewing will help me anymore since I am over 21 now but at least I plan to get rhino-septoplasty within the next few years to fix my deviated septum and the appearance of my crooked nose.
I've consciously breathed through my nose for decades. Chewed gum since I was a teen. Genetics are a big part of this at the end of the day. You can improve what you have but not everyone is going to have a jawline like this guy from doing these things.
It's time to get rid of this slightly receded chin and fluffy cheeks. I'm trying to finally love myself after the long years of depression accompanied by weeks of not cleaning myself totally. Wish me luck.
Another Mewing video… what the thousands of youtubers who make videos about mewing don’t tell you is that mewing only makes a difference if you do it as a kid. Grown men cannot change the shape of their jaw bones. Yes, you can build the muscles around your jaw by chewing more, but the breathing, tongue posture, etc, only influences the shape of your jaw bone if you do it as a kid.
The only issue with chewing tough gum is your not doing it bilaterally. Both sides at the same time. The jaw is a hinge joint, both sides opening and closing at the same time. If you place a wedge (gum) under one side and not the other you are causing an asymmetrical movement. That’s going to cause jaw pain and improper movement.
Orthotropics has been largely disproven. We learn about this in dental school. You can modify growth but once you are done growing little change will happen to skeletal structure. Almost all modification potential is also in the maxilla, the mandible you cant really change. A better approach is using dental appliances before/during puberty.
Take your little credentialism tale somewhere else. I started a year ago and saw results already. Marked results too. Your credentials mean sht faced with personal experience. no one believes your bs these days. Get a job.
I’m a life-long mewer, I guess. Ever since I can remember it was just the position my tongue was in. Felt natural. (Every time I comment on stuff like this, people think I’m lying or bragging LMAO, but it’s true) as a lifelong “mewer” I’m not planning on giving up my “mewing” habit. I like what it did for my jawline but there are some things to be aware of. Fist and foremost, DONT keep your tongue pressed on your front teeth. I genuinely didn’t know that other people didn’t keep their tongue on the roof of their mouth. It was just something that always like a neutral mouth position to me. Ever since early childhood my tongue, from back to front is always “swallowed” against the roof of my mouth. In my experience it doesn’t take conscious muscle tension. Just swallow until your tongue is on the roof of your mouth, and keep your mouth closed I guess? It’s not necessarily an exercise. It’s just a posture. I find my mouth is often dry because I naturally swallow more, and I have less room in my mouth for spit. But whenever I try not “mewing” my mouth just feels wetter and gross because I’m not used to it.. so I “mew.” Practice good oral hygiene. Dryness can be bad for your teeth. It also sometimes makes me breathe louder. It just doesn’t feel natural to me to rest my tongue on the bottom of my mouth. When I mouth breathe (not something that can always be avoided, such as when you’re physically exerted or your nose is stuffed up) my tongue just won’t get out of the way. The back of my tongue is still flexed, but just enough to let air through. People say to me “can you breathe quieter please??” 😡 Then I try breathing through my nose some more, and the struggle is even louder. My entire life, I’ve always been the “slow eater.” and everyone would wonder “what the hell is taking you so long?!” I never had any idea. Until I realized my “problem” was that I was the one who swallowed their food correctly. So be prepared to either annoy your friends or take leftovers home. Dont develop a habit of keeping your tongue between your upper and lower teeth where it can be bitten. You can hurt yourself. Also since I have to “swallow my my tongue” against the roof of my mouth, I do swallow more often than most people. I developed a nervous habit of swallowing too loudly (if you don’t have anxiety you don’t have to worry about it.) I’ve had people look at me and say “what the hell is that noise?” 🙄 When I first found out about “mewing,” and there aren’t other people who naturally keep their tongue on the roof of their mouth I was kind of shocked. 😆 I’m kind of glad I have the habit because I like what it does for my jawline. More often than not, when I tell people I’m 32 they look surprised and they’ll say “I thought you were MUCH younger.” Probably because I have a tight jawline. If mewing is for you, give it a try. After a while it’ll start to feel natural I guess? Not trying to talk anyone out of it. I’m just saying that once it’s a habit it feels more natural that resting your tongue on the bottom of your mouth. It can make a difference for your jawline. But there are positives and negatives. Don’t get discouraged though. I know that’s a lot. I’m still trying to figure out how “mewing” has affected my life, and how it can affect yours. I’m not giving up the habit LMAO.
I swear i read the whole thing and it was very informative. But the way you talk is so annoying. It just feels like i want you to shut the f up or tell it to somebody that can retell it to me without all this “lmaos, i know, jezus me i am great inam unique crap”
damn, I used to have a receded chin, and I thought I was really ugly because of it. Somehow I subconsciously just started doing all of the things mentioned in this video when I was younger. I got my adenoids removed at 14, and started breathing through my nose. I loved chewing gum (and still do occasionally), I swallow properly, and I wasn't even thinking about it until it was mentioned in the video but my tongue is always pressed to the roof of my mouth. Nowadays I get complements on my sharp jawline all the time.
So, I find it very interesting "Mewing" was discovered by orthodontists. I had braces for 6 years; from the beginning of 6th grade to the end of 12th grade. Most of my friends only had them between a few months to 2 years tops. I didn't know why I was kept on them, other than the consistent thought my orthodontist was breadcrumbing and scamming my parents (which could still be the truth). After a few months of braces my teeth were perfectly straight with braces on. This is coming from me having Buckteeth in the front since 2nd grade. It wasn't until I was about to graduate high school that my mom was trying to get the orthodontist to simply take my braces off because of how much it cost my parents by then - One day during my senior year, his assistant just said, "You only have an underbite; we've been trying to get rid of that for 4 years". I (uninformed high school kid) didn't exactly know what that all meant and it wasn't until his assistant demonstrated with a skull that my jaw was pushed back too far and that unless I had my jaw further, I couldn't get my braces off (again, sounds like a deliberate scam). It wasn't until she showed me physically what needed to be done that I was like "Okay, so basically I just need my chin to be further ahead and you'll take my braces off?" So throughout the day every day, I would just do this thing where I put my bottom teeth in front of my top teeth for a few seconds. I guess this was technically "Mewing". Well, guess what? A month later I went back and the assistant was in awe at how much improvement happened with my jawline. Another month later, my braces were off and they were astounded that so much improvement happened in 2 months. I spell bullshit for what they did; I consistently faced gatekeeping from people trying to extract money from me or my family throughout my life - and I still do, but I'm just glad it's all fucking over. I hated my orthodontist from the day I met him; all he ever did was boast about his convertible, and 6 fucking years is absolutely a scam on my parents; especially when it was something the orthodontist could've described directly to me in order to avoid such a lengthy and expensive process. And of course, they threw in the "HE NEEDS A RETAINER" crap at my mom, so she paid for a retainer and gave the orthodontist the middle finger directly to his face as we walked out of there - $10,000 for a horrible experience and what feels like an indirect life lesson about how everyone you seek help from has it out to hurt you. If I ever need orthodontic assistant ever again, I'm going for Invisaligns. If I have kids and they need it, they're getting Invisaligns and I'll teach them every lesson I had to learn the hard way.
I had a chin implant. I was told there was a chance of numbness because they have to lift a nerve up to get the implant in. My chin and lower lip is numb for the past 13 years and will be for life.
I just turned 28 and just discovered this topic! I’ve been insecure about my receding jaw line whole life. I hope it’s not too late for me. I’ve never been a mouth breather though. But I do sleep with my mouth open a lot. Lol Thanks for the info!!
@@centipedekid9824false. You will see changes in your face if you exercise it. The bones in your face are not fused together either therefore it is possible to adjust their position. Any amount of resistance put on a humans skeletal structure over a period of time will encourage increased or maintained bone density. Weight training is a good example.
Not sure how much proper chewing or posture is going to help your jawline, although you should do both for other reasons and benefits, but chewing gum, tongue placement, pushing your tongue against the front of the roof of your mouth and all that will absolutely affect the shape of your jaw. Like Brett, I had a weak jawline in my youth, but after developing the habit of pressing my tongue against the roof of my mouth, I obtained a much better jawline as well as the "hallow cheek" look. Of course, in that time I also got into great shape so I'm sure that helped as well. Other things that will improve your appearance is proper posture as Brett said, which will not only make your shoulders and chest look better, but will also make you appear taller. Developing the habit of keeping your abs flexed at about 25% strength at all times is vitally important as well. If you have good abs, this will be easy to hold for hours and will not only help you keep a good posture, but will prevent you from letting your stomach stick out and give you a much better overall shape. Not to mention at the beach your abs will look great. For those that don't know, even if you have 6 pack abs, if you completely relax them and have bad posture, your stomach will stick out like anyone's will and your abs disappear. No one has ripped abs when they're completely relaxed. Every pic of a guy with shredded abs is flexing hard enough to have a hernia. But even so, it's not just about getting abs, it's also about knowing how to properly display them. A 25% flex that's second nature will ensure your abs look great at all times. Oh, and Brett, don't ever let me hear you complain about your appearance ever again. You are a crazy attractive guy and you know it lol.
Bro had surgery and is selling products to make up for the loss. Jaw growth is not from eating harder foods. His jaw shifted forward almost an inch and probably 1/4 to 1/2 inch out at the jaw line. This is a joke.
Trust me guys the chewing gum method works and I also tried other thing is without eating food for a week just water and just ran outside for several minutes in this way it works fasters
Unfortunately its not possible when you dont have a decent one. There are 4 or 5 factors thats gonna fck up you jawline. 1.Genetic fat underneath your jaw. 2. Genetic excess skin on the jaw. 3.small jaw. 4.weird jaw posture. 5. Big neck. Well if you have one or two of these problems you can adjust it still. But i fuckn myself have all of them.
WARNING!! If you eat gum then you're going to tell your stomach to release acid, bile and insulin in preparation to receiving food. If you want to chew something then I would recommend Mastic gum that will at least help with digestion otherwise I would recommend a jaw exerciser that costs a couple of bucks not a ridiculous $18

I started mewing when I was 21 because I learned that by 25 you can’t anymore and it gave me enough time to improve my face but definitely wish I had done some jaw training, been more consistent with the proper swallowing, and work mouth tape at night. I think it can make a big difference if you’re still a teenager or younger.
Maybe this solution is more useful for mouth breathers, no so much for nose breathers. That doesn't nullify the effect of this. If a drug doesn't work for you, it doesn't mean it doesn't work for everyone.
My son is tongue tied and doctors said just leave it rather than cutting it loose- but due to this, his chin is not as strong as it should have been, it’s small compared to the rest of his face…
He's definitely right about the gum, also tough candy or food, by making multiple chewing. Another method is flexing your jawline around, especially for boxing. You can also use a plastic teeth for boxing which you can grind you teeth on.
In combination with harder food to chew, I also think people had much better posture earlier because they were sleeping on harder surfaces, as well as not beeing so hunched over for hours like we are today😉
Of course it works better when you start young, but it can still help when you're older because it builds up the muscles and gives you better posture which just helps your face look better 🙂

The difference between you at 15 and how ever old you are now is that you went through development and matured into a man. The majority of the development is genetics. I don't doubt mewing improves your genetic potential but it doesn't override it.

@@sagovana this is obvious if you watched the videos on orthotropics. As you mouth breath your face will get longer and as it gets longer the space for your teeth gets smaller and you get crooked teeth. People who mouth breath live 10 years less than those who don’t.
Genetics, habits from where you were a kid, present habits and fat are the main subjects to improve. I am no medic nor professional on the subject but, after gathering info from many videos and my own experience, those are the main pillars of having a great jawline. Genetics are what you have and cannot be altered, so embrace it, then come the things you can change which are: 1. Present habits, what the gentleman is saying. Just try to do the meeting correctly, do not force it, it should be natural and maintainable throughout the day. So, the tongue posture aka "mewing", head, neck, chest and shoulder posture must be correct. 2. Fat: Just as it happens with abs, the less fat you have, the more your jawline is going to show. Maintain a healthy amount of fat and that should do the work, do not go crazy over it, unless you are aiming for it. Additional tip Chewing gum and other gadgets: Personally, I don't think chewing a sugary or artificial sugar would do any good to the body if taken constantly everyday. It will eventually take its toll on you, just like everything in excess. Maybe try to eat healthier overall, eat meat, carrots, nuts, etc. Do not over complicate things guys. Cheers.

FOURTH UPDATE: 2023-07-18
Having lost a lost of weight recently, about 55 lbs, I cannot tell for certain what has contributed to any possible changes with my jawline more, the weight loss or the mewing. Any changes are subtle. Nothing significant thus far.
FIFTH UPDATE: 2023-11-15
Down 65 lbs, my face is much less round.

Another Mewing video… what the thousands of youtubers who make videos about mewing don’t tell you is that mewing only makes a difference if you do it as a kid. Grown men cannot change the shape of their jaw bones. Yes, you can build the muscles around your jaw by chewing more, but the breathing, tongue posture, etc, only influences the shape of your jaw bone if you do it as a kid.
that's true but even as an adult you can still see some results although it's harder. also mewing is just a good habit to have no matter what the age
@@bayotic4286 I mean… no… breathing through your nose will never make an adult jaw bone grow… this is just a ploy to get RUclips views.
Thank you
Cope. Your jaw has muscles just as any other part of your body. Will it completely change your facial structure? No it won't, but it sure will help.
Actually, it is totally possible to change your jawline as an Adult. It just takes way more time.
The only issue with chewing tough gum is your not doing it bilaterally. Both sides at the same time. The jaw is a hinge joint, both sides opening and closing at the same time. If you place a wedge (gum) under one side and not the other you are causing an asymmetrical movement. That’s going to cause jaw pain and improper movement.
what should you do then

I developed a nervous habit of swallowing too loudly (if you don’t have anxiety you don’t have to worry about it.) I’ve had people look at me and say “what the hell is that noise?” 🙄
When I first found out about “mewing,” and there aren’t other people who naturally keep their tongue on the roof of their mouth I was kind of shocked.
I’m not giving up the habit LMAO.
hows the sunscreen

damn, I used to have a receded chin, and I thought I was really ugly because of it.
Worth it or na?
At least you can admit how you changed your jawline, unlike these jerks!

It's to late if you are above 25 mewing won't do anything for you Mike Mew recommends surgery at that point but he said that's also ineffective.
@@centipedekid9824 i am 19..have receding chin... Do this work now?
@@Shuvo-AL-Farabi yes, start now.
@@Kevnadian tnx bro for info
This
Any proof to this?
Proof? He himself made the video about his jawline surgery not a long time ago.😂
Trust me guys the chewing gum method works and I also tried other thing is without eating food for a week just water and just ran outside for several minutes in this way it works fasters
As I aged, I started to develop an overbite and my chin is recessing. I need to start doing these things like mewing and chewing.
Brother you clearly got implants haha
Unfortunately its not possible when you dont have a decent one. There are 4 or 5 factors thats gonna fck up you jawline. 1.Genetic fat underneath your jaw. 2. Genetic excess skin on the jaw. 3.small jaw. 4.weird jaw posture. 5. Big neck. Well if you have one or two of these problems you can adjust it still. But i fuckn myself have all of them.
A shave and changing the lighting direction works wonders for a thumbnail.
I am 28 years old and I have been a nose breather my whole life. Where is my cool jawline?
Next time try to win the genetic lottery
It's crazy how many people don't perceive this kind of video as absolute brain-rot.
Can you recommend one off of Amazon?
I'm doing this at 17. Let's see how my face evolves over the years, Brett.
It's been 2 weeks, what's the update?
@@EriPages broooo. You need at least a year.

its really nice to be informed about this at 28 years old
He’s pronounce for Arnold was so clean Bro definitely experienced cod slayer
My unsolicited opinion: I think he still looked good, with his old jawline, He's gorgeous either way! 😊
This is a bubble gum ad. Expensive bubble gum in fact.
Gosh ! I'm 24 now hope it's not too late to start ! My jawline ain't really bad but I still wanna improve it as I wanna improve everywhere else
I am 22 wondering if it is too late for us?
Fr, I’m 23. Wish I had come across this info years ago
mfs ill be 25 in less than 40 days dont complain
mewing is cope stop beliving everything u see on the internet. if u have money go for plastic sugery if u don t grow a beard. no tongue position will give u a brad pitt jawline. it is rooted in genetics. that s why we can recreate faces using only the dna. u can t change ur genes boyo . focus on what u can actually change like body and style . good luck
@@thebull004 this gotta be the most stupid comment I've seen this year. I'm literally baffled
You explicitly said you don't have before pics, but in the thumbnail you have a very clear profile shot. Was that photoshopped?
I started mewing when I was 21 because I learned that by 25 you can’t anymore and it gave me enough time to improve my face but definitely wish I had done some jaw training, been more consistent with the proper swallowing, and work mouth tape at night. I think it can make a big difference if you’re still a teenager or younger.
I’m currently 21, what jaw training do you recommend?
I have always breathed through my nose automatically. I never realized so many people struggle with this
I cannot breathe through my nose because of genetics. Narrow deviated septums.
I never knew it was a problem to breathe through the nose tho
I've been breathing through my nose all my life and I don't have much of a jaw line. There's no science behind this...
Maybe this solution is more useful for mouth breathers, no so much for nose breathers. That doesn't nullify the effect of this.
If a drug doesn't work for you, it doesn't mean it doesn't work for everyone.
i think bodyfat percentage is a big factor , because the lower the fat on the face , the more visible the jawline will be
My son is tongue tied and doctors said just leave it rather than cutting it loose- but due to this, his chin is not as strong as it should have been, it’s small compared to the rest of his face…
I tried chewing your gum for a year now my jaw is fucked I can only it fluids, thanks a lot dude
For real?
😂😂
He's definitely right about the gum, also tough candy or food, by making multiple chewing. Another method is flexing your jawline around, especially for boxing. You can also use a plastic teeth for boxing which you can grind you teeth on.
You are so right.
In combination with harder food to chew, I also think people had much better posture earlier because they were sleeping on harder surfaces, as well as not beeing so hunched over for hours like we are today😉
Oh, I didn't realize vanity had a RUclips channel
Well now you know
Lmaoo you probably don't Brush your tongue
Of course it works better when you start young, but it can still help when you're older because it builds up the muscles and gives you better posture which just helps your face look better 🙂
i'm 24 ia Alterobinary, i started chewing your product and my jawline is thanking me,
now i get thru my day of work, wich consist in flapping a dozen of hortondicus between my cheek every hour,
after using Brett´s Jawline Chewing Gum, i no longer feel sore after a rough session,

a bargain if you ask me ✊🏿
0:20 you gotta explain yourself brett
Lmao
Reminds me of nega-tivity when you say it slowly
I’m not a mouthbreather always breathed through my nose, my jawline is weak… this is bs if you think you gonna get some mad jawline… it’s your bone structure that mainly determines it, genetics…
Nope a lot of factors play role not only genetics stop saying genetics it's only an excuse
I just got double jaw surgery. I can finally breathe properly and I’m trying to implement learning how to breathe through my nose instead of through my mouth. I hope getting the jaw surgery was kind of a reset for me to restructure my face since I’m in my 30s.
I have TMJ rn and am seeing the only fix is jaw surgery. How was the surgery for you? I’d love to hear your story.
Only jaw surgery can permanently fix this situation. Volux Jaw fillers work too (no down time) but only last up to two years and are costly as well.
How much did you pay for jaw surgery? I would love to get it
@@restartistry9513 We have insurance, so we didn't pay much out of pocket for it. We also were able to get my braces covered too because of the surgrey.
@@restartistry9513ikr people acting like mewing's gonna change their entire bone structure
How many people just ask “how did you get your jawline?” Realistically? As if you bought it or something.
He figured out that those heros who he never personally met were "breathing through their nose"!! WHAT a GENIUS.
I can’t breathe through my nose when I put my tongue like that lol
I have been a natural nose breather andre I have been doing mewing naturally since I was young. I have no better jaw line than any of you watching this video.
Right.. i look like a mouth breather but i never mouth breathe nor can i. Its so uncomftorable
Self-improvement is the solution. Gaining confidence and jaw firmness are always parallel.
Its all genetics, they never tell you that
@@inactivechannel3004 exactly this is basically all cope, i dont have a great jawline at all even tho im braething trough my nose the wehole life, i got the jawline from ym dad and he got it from his mother...
The difference between you at 15 and how ever old you are now is that you went through development and matured into a man. The majority of the development is genetics. I don't doubt mewing improves your genetic potential but it doesn't override it.
But bad tongue posture will destroy your genetics capacity
@@-_deploy_- Ok. Please enlighten me to how you measure that.
@@sagovana If you have bad habits, no matter how good your genetics are, you will have health problems. This is the same, bad habits, bad consequences.
@@-_deploy_- I will repeat it again, please enlighten me to how you measure the impact of genetics Vs mewing?
And please tell me what health problems you will have?
@@sagovana this is obvious if you watched the videos on orthotropics. As you mouth breath your face will get longer and as it gets longer the space for your teeth gets smaller and you get crooked teeth. People who mouth breath live 10 years less than those who don’t.
Been chewing gum since Junior High, I’m 22 now and it has paid off big time
Genetics, habits from where you were a kid, present habits and fat are the main subjects to improve. I am no medic nor professional on the subject but, after gathering info from many videos and my own experience, those are the main pillars of having a great jawline. Genetics are what you have and cannot be altered, so embrace it, then come the things you can change which are:
Additional tip
Chewing gum and other gadgets: Personally, I don't think chewing a sugary or artificial sugar would do any good to the body if taken constantly everyday. It will eventually take its toll on you, just like everything in excess. Maybe try to eat healthier overall, eat meat, carrots, nuts, etc.
Do not over complicate things guys. Cheers.
I'm 22 and depressed about not having a strong jaw, I really would have loved to know this as a teenager. Can I see any change with my age?
Yes you will. Chew the gum, lose body fat. Last resort, get some fillers.
Seems like you have 3 years or so still to make the changes get started asap good luck 👍
Jaw surgery is an option too
@@atticuscooperjaggard6630 find Matt Phelps on youtube. He started in his 26 yo. And he done great progress.
omg what a loser
So when Mewing, do you basically just suction hold your tongue on the roof of your mouth?
Hi Brett. You mentioned in earlier videos that chewing gum can cause TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint Disorders), but now you are selling gum. what changed ?
$$$$
Well now he's making money selling it, so what he said earlier doesn't matter anymore.
