Up until yesterday, I had never heard of Shotgun Red or the man behind the puppet. I stumbled upon a very charming YT cook with a wonderful personality and even wondered if he was ever a performer at some point... then I learn of his history and am just blown away. It's amazing how a $40 purchase opened up all those doors in life. Exciting stuff. RIP Steve.

I am a disabled veteran, But I remember watching Shotgun Red as a kid, and watching this video is a wonderful memory of my youth. Thank you and Shotgun Red for those memories. Today you are helping me make new memories as I try to learn how to cook for myself instead of eating at restaurants all the time. I can not wait to make your BBQ recipe as I learn to cook. It is a challenge with my PTSD and the memory issues due to the medications but I am enjoying cooking when I can and saving for a hard copy of your Cooking Country With Shotgun Red vol. 1 (For now I have the kindle version to learn from). I hope Vol 2 is coming soon.
