I don't get why you can just create screw holes on the model?
@@cameronshaner9538 because the vice needs to be portable...
You use cookie cutters for cookie dough BEFORE baking, not on a already baked cookie.
I gave this video a thumbs up solely because of this.
/facepalm
3:09 I would like to use the penis cookie cutter on the left and check the reaction of my family :D
He has never set foot on a kitchen
I think he just can’t go buy cookie dough because of corona so he had to make with what he had
When I saw that.. I was like.. "Oh my goodness.. Really?" rofl..
You have the voice of 14 years old boy and the hands of a 40 years old man
Also the video is pretty cool
look at his left thumb at 7:26
Love your videos!
Did’t know you watched Remain inside.
@@xl000 hes a big boie
oh well hello
uh nice to see you?
As an FYI, wood has properties that will often dehydrate most microorganisms over time. Hence the reason why people still use wooden cutting boards and utensils. Plastic doesn't do that.
What does that mean for wood pla filaments?
@@geekazoid2235 from what research I've carried out, wood filaments do have a similar microbial dehydration effect that normal wood products have
pla is easy enough to sterilze wine and beer maker's soluton: 5ml vinegar , 5ml bleach and 1 litre of cold water. soak for 5 mins, air dry , job done.
PETG is actually very bacterial resistant.
Would they be good to make cups with? Like say if was just having it for water
Why am I watching this when I don’t even
Own a 3D printer
I’m going to guess you also found this video in your recommended
Same lol
Yes
*yet.
I also watched 3DP vids without a printer, then finally got one last week and DUDE... It's an addiction
Yeah same
This video was way better than expected. Nice little nuggets of fun and humor throughout. Could have been dry and boring but it wasn't. Great job.
3:08 demonetisation shaped cookie cutter.
screw you guys i'm going home
More than one to be precise
Dick cookies, my favorite
That masking tape/superglue thing is brilliant.
Yes watch Alec steel! I learned it from him. He’s a cool blacksmith youtuber
Where i can found stl file for this
I saw this comment before I saw that part of the video, and I thought it was talking about using superglue on the print bed to keep prints from warping, and I was about to flip out about how bad of an idea that was lol
U dumb
The masking tape and superglue trick has been used ever since super glue was invented, i use it all the time for machining especially when im working with small parts that cant be held in a vice
The cookie cutter is meant to be used on the raw dough not the cooked cookie, the bar-soap holder is meant to hold the soap laying flat not upright
I love the addition of memes and generally funny commentary :) great work dude!
lol. Thank you
Il ruin this like count soon
Remain Indoors can we get a toilet paper holder
0:18 No we fight over who gets to queue the 6 hour prints with the sparkling fillament
I just figured out my settings on my Ender 3 and have been printing out some lithophanes. They're turning out GREAT!
“ some smaller plants or your favorite flours”. The simple things. Subbed for fact
This is the first video of yours I've seen, and I found it very interesting and useful! Also your corny jokes were funny! I really like some of the prints you posted, so I hope I get to print them. I just received my first 3d printer yesterday and took up until tonight to finally get it printing. While it's printing the little test cat, I found your video. So, I'm still learning. Hopefully I can learn how to take your suggested prints and actually print them.
Pla is the most safe foodsafe material studied right now. But you shouldnt sand it, paint it, dye it, or put it near very hot or cold enough to crack it temperatures.
I enjoyed your video. Been slacking in printing with no money for filament but i got enough for useful prints.
Most brass has lead in it, so printing anything that comes in contact with food could potentially be risky if there are other sources of lead at play as well. Especially depending on the nozzle manufacturing processes as some tend to increase lead leaching even on low lead content fittings. The revised standard for lead content in potable system fittings is
Me: Running low on filament...
Also me: Prints some more...
It appears you've been defeated, Dynamism.
Here in NY where my friend started a group in which we're printing face shields for hospitals and group homes. Around here they're happy to have access to ANY form of PPE! which is in very short supply in these parts recently. For my prints it's not a sterile environment per se but I do avoid touching the finished product with my bare hands, always making sure to use alcohol to clean off any purple glue residue if used. They sterilize upon receipt/use anyway
This was fun! for sure going to print the hypercube vase as a trashcan for my room XD Weird question though, what are the pliers/ cutters you are using at the end of the video? I have had a difficult time removing support filament and those seem to work really well! Thanks so much!
For food safe 3d prints I recommend using PCTG as it is food safe and waterproof and also using an E3d stainless steel nozzle (also food safe) as cheap brass nozzles can have lead in them which isn't particularly safe for you.
im making a piece for my shower that broke. can I use PETG for it?
The almond flour/flower in the vase made me laugh way more then it should have😆
Thank you! I will be printing the majority of these inbetween an order of Bonsai Tree Pots im doing now 😊
That vise will be pretty handy for my projects. Thanks!
Awesome, glad to hear it. And that masking tape and super glue trick is amazingly helpful with it.

Homie you've been social distancing already for a long time from the name of the channel. Perfect time for the channel to rise up. Good video!
Great stuff. I’m printing that vice. Thanks.
That pencil holder looks like an epic joint holder for parties
I clicked because my old printer broke, so I was planning on buying a new one, and I stayed for the humor, this is instantly a great channel
For anyone looking to print PPE in Ireland google “benchspace PPE”, they will collect your prints and sterilise and distribute them as well as reimburse some of your filament

The pencil holder is really creative! I love your channel,
great job^^
Thumbs up just for the masking tape and super glue trick (plus great prints) that was amazing and super clever!
I wasn't expecting to laugh when watching a 3D print video, but I did more than once. LOL
Paper towel holder! That's definitely going in my shop! Thanks! 😊
Nice! May the Paper towel deities bless you with disposable paper products.
@@RemainIndoors All joking aside, that is the most ingenious, coolest paper towel holder I've ever seen. Too bad that all the paper towel holders I have are the stick-in-base type, where you just set the roll vertically on it. If I had an undercabinet mounted one, I'd replace it with this faster than you could print it.
Nice video! Just getting started and great ideas for my forthcoming Prusa Mini!
I had something similar to the infinity cube as a kid. It was a flat rectangle (IIRC) with segments that could fold and stick to one another. I totally forget what it was even called and now I want one again T_T
Thank you, very entertaining, my wife and I really liked your video and hope you do more.
Your cookie cutters for dough 😂 you’re hilarious thank you enjoyed the laugh 😆
Pretty cool video. I've printed plenty of practical things while being at home.
Lots of functional prints. Upvoted!
That tape idea was PIMP!
Clean the tip of the super glue with a paper towel before putting the lid back on. The lid won't get stuck anymore.
Keep your superglue in the fridge too. It will last way longer.
Mine has a pin in the cap that goes inside the tip. That's supposed to keep it clear but doesn't always do I keep a safety pin attached to it. Sticking that in the hole always clears it.
These days it is easier to get more super glue than paper towel...
I just buying the display cards with 20 tubes. throw tube away after use. life is so much simpler since I started doing this.
That 3D printed vice is genuinely the most useful thing I've seen come off a 3D printer. I know it's not going to be super strong, but everything else people make seems like something you'd win in an arcade for 20 tickets. aka junk
yeah, it's pretty handy when you need to hold something small in place.
About the brass nozzle thing. My hot ware supply lines has brass and even lead fittings. It's more about the time the water spends in contact with the lead. Brass however even heated is not dangerous

I used the printer to print the printer
First video of yours I've seen. This recommended to me by the algorithm and showed up on my home page. I was shocked when I checked your sub count, far too low for the quality of this vid. If you continue to put out this level of content this channel is grow very quick!
I loved the content, going to print some of them, but it would look even better with more lights.
Just commenting to say the Man Bars are awesome, I got one for X-Mas and it lasted until just last week... Using that as a metric, I picked up enough nicely scented soap to last me for 3 years.
The soap dish can be scaled up to fit a kitchen sponge pretty neatly :)
5:16 use a vice to hold the vice to the table
Gave it a chance.. Watched the #10.. cracked up laughing at the "fantasize about a day where I own paper towels again" and then the black and white with music.. instantly clicked subscribe.. Humor like that warms my heart
just did the exact same thing...
Yep the cookie cutter was funny. When I saw that I thought immediately about a donut cutter. Thanks for a great Video I like practical stuff.
Wasn’t expecting a reference to Crimson Guitars, that’s awesome! And great trick
0:06 For a sec I thought that said Ramen noodles😂
awesome vid as always! what were the background tracks in this one?
Thank you, they were all songs from the RUclips Audio Library. If you're trying to find any of them specifically, these are the song names:
1. Inevitable
2. St Francis
3. 8 Year Anniversary
4. Cubic Z
5. Bizzie
6. Lake George
I'm sat here watching this great video with my newly delivered, 1st time ever, 3D printer. Plenty o assembly for me later. Loved that kitchen roll holder.
Well done. Not too much into the weeds, entertaining, helpful, and I laughed. Thanks and keep up the good work. Here’s hoping you can enjoy paper towels soon.
this guy reminds me of grant in his early days of youtube
3:08 I bought a 3D Printer just to print that adult cookie cutter...
I was scrolling in the comments to find this. I knew I wasn't the only one who saw it 😂😂
Thanks for the ideas. I subscribed and rang the bell. I will be printing the vice, for sure... Thank you...
Excellent video...RE Wood Most domestic hardwoods are foodsafe apart from the obvious yew and laburnum but to be on the safe side I'd stick to traditional treen varieties such as the general fruitwoods (plum, pear, apple etc) and sycamore and beech for wood in contact with moist or damp bare food. I'd also avoid using spalted timber though, just good sound wood.
Number 10, If you're like me...

Yea, I think I'm like you.
This guy should have way more subscribers, not gonna lie.
3:07 I see a potential pp cookie
Edit: oh goodness there are a lot of cutters of people doing dirty things as other have pointed out haha
Oh... no, It’s perfect for gay men!
I love your video and the way you talk. Very matter of factually with dry humour and your tone is very easy to keep listening to.
First video first time on th channel, I subscribed at the kitchen roll holder. A sense of humour has me on board.
What printer do you have?
I might buy a 3d printer and the print quality on yours looks amazing!
haha Thanks. I have a couple different printers. All of the prints in this video were printed on my Prusa MK2.5, CR-10 and Monoprice Maker Select v2. if I was going to recommend any of those, it would probably be the Prusa. The other two printers are pretty heavily modified, since they didn't have great quality straight out of the box. But there are cheaper 3d printers that do have pretty good quality without the need for mods. it really just depends on what you're looking to spend.
Remain Indoors Thanks for the answer!
Is the prusa beginner friendly?
The printer I’m going to buy can be more expensive (max €700 or so).
I was looking at an ender 3 pro at first and saw people doing upgrades to it wich made the printer really good, but I kinda want a printer that’s ready to print out of the box with good print quality but with the possibility to upgrade the printer.
Are the dimensions on the prusa big enough for “bigger” projects like printing small rockets of figurines?
What would you recommend?
@@Matt-dd1zr you probably have already bought one but the cr10 v2 comes almost completely out together put together and I was able to get my first print in like 2 hours
3:09
Nice
Watching you take the supports off that last print was painful (because we've all been there). I've been experimenting with Cura's tree supports and so far they come off stupidly easy and cleanly post-print
Cool video! This makes me even more exited for my printer showing up soon!!
I'm still fantasizing about a day when I can own a 3D printer. 😏
BTW, this had been my life long before social distancing, too, because I have agoraphobia.
See if the Creality Ender 3 is right for you. Seems to be the budget 3DP of choice for a lot of people.
I regularly go out, ignore the msm and the end result is a healthy body.

Cool collection. Thanks
I’ve been printing and assembling some PPE with my school. Our goal was 3600 face shields, but we have currently (written June 5th) over 5000 shields.
I’m offended that you said almond flour is your favorite type of flour. I prefer all-purpose flour.
My flowers don't look as good as that, do you use fertiliser?
lol yeah. a little horse manure and a lot of bad jokes.
Found your suggestions very helpful. I am currently trying to decide whether to purchase a Laser engraver or a 3D printer. The laser engraver was winning because it is easier to envision practical uses(and $aleable). Your video is tipping the scale in favor of the 3D printer. And yes the tape & super glue trick is golden.
yeah, I will say as somebody who has never owned a laser engraver, but has owned many 3d printers, it seems like you may have an easier time selling stuff with a good engraver, but if you have some good ideas, and are okay at 3d modeling, you can create pretty much anything you want with a 3d printer.
I guess the way I look at it, 3d printers can facilitate manufacturing reasonably good quality items if you have good ideas, but engravers can modify higher quality items that people may want to buy with less effort. It all comes down to what interests you the most.
Ooooh! Makes me think a 3d printed Vaas Montenegro bust would be dope!
spent all my money on 3d printers and filament now i cant afford paper towels
just print some
😂
Nice vid, but what are those thumbs maaaate
Club thumbs, gross huh.
This is great. You just gave me even more reasons to justify purchasing a 3d printer, thanks mate! Off to buy one now...
Happy to help
Nicely done video, good advice on checking with your local hospital first before going through all that work.
oh god my GF pissed herself when you said "didnt get her permissions to buy" that hit close to home
Whats your girlfriend doing watching 3d printing video's, shouldn't she be in the kitchen.
I found this video refreshing, thank you. I like the style and pace - and sense of humour.
Whoever pays rent is the one with permission
Me: doesn't have a 3D printer
Me: watches this
Even though i had to work every day during the 'pandemic stay at home orders'.. i still find this interesting
Awesome video.... I totally relate to ur comedic tones
3:08 a adult cookie cutter uuhhhhh Just wtf
If it bothers you, then clearly, you're not an adult...
Another "10 cool useless crap for 3D printer" video. Pen holder? Soap dish? Really?
I just thought of this, a lot of cheaper alloys of brass (probably what they use to make cheap nozzles) have lead in them. that's why Christmas lights have the California toxicity warning on them, the brass contacts.
Awesome.!! #5 is my design. Cool to see someone else print it
Wife or girlfriend? I'm a woman and I own one,
Lesbians and bi women exist.
Wow, you are one person that is a woman out of the many people that watch this. This has been debunked he is in the wrong just because you watched this video. You are so Important to how people perceive that example.
100% on point with that opener
the masking tape with super glue tip may have just changed my life for the better, thank you :)
Lol I subbed after that intro. My wife is always glaring at me for things I wasn’t supposed to but in the first place.
Good content man!
You can easily buy a UV lamp to sterilize mentioned masks; I’ve gotten emails for a phone charger case thing that wirelessly charges your phone, while at the same time sterilizing it w/ UV. As I recall, it advertised to only take 10 or maybe 15 minutes to sterilize your phone.
RE Brass - They used to use brass as door handles and push plates because brass is non ferrous and it produces an oil of sorts and bacteria hate brass.
Don't know what your old format was like? But this was entertaining. and I watched the whole thing without skipping thru it !!! great job!!
Thank you :)
Cookie cutters are supposed to cut the dough before cooking.
And wood is usually treated with oils that clog those pores, so they are easier to clean.
So maybe give them a spray with food safe lacquer?
Nice! I’ve got 3 MakerBots in my garage now that ran off almost 100 face masks... now I’m trying to find stuff to do. I was looking at the Print Polisher that’s on top of Thingiverse.
Thanks! This was great!
Double-sided 3m mounting tape is also pretty epic
I got a few things from this:
1) Couple cool prints, definitely going to use some of those ideas and/or modify them to suit my needs!
2) Your content is cool and fun; I subscribed!
3) You're doing keto, it seems? :P
