First of all, usually "ten awesome gifts" videos are full of "get your dad personalized golf tees" kind of stuff, so this one stands out for being full of particularly cool stuff -- especially the lithophanes and the kit cards, which really do give you a lot of choices to match the actual interests of your gift recipients. Second, whoever is helping you demonstrate the maze puzzle box and the cyclone has their nail game on point.
No kidding! It's a great design. A few members of my Discord printed them out, and they're having plenty of trouble. Brooke says she's mad at you, by the way. For the puzzle.
@@ZackFreedman I can't take credit for the puzzle. I saw it on a Kahn Academy blog. If you search my channel for "puzzle of evil" I made a video about the whole thing.

@@robotportachiavi2507 Depends on your slicer settings. My slicer does two passes per wall. Front and back, that would be four passes. As a single father of a little girl, I can't wait to not have to go to Walmart (because Toys R Us is dead) & have to get an Elsa castle. I can now print one lmao
This is kind of serendipitous because as in watching this video I was pulling off the outer shell of the puzzle tube and re leveling to print the inner container of the puzzle box to hold my kids "biggest" Xmas present (cash). My daughter loves puzzles and will genuinely enjoy it. My son on the other hand it will be to try and teach him patience and our to teach him to ask for help or how to find answers, but ultimately I fear it will lead to most of his solutions when he hits a wall or gets frustrated wish is give up or hulk smash :/
Thanks Zack, you saved Christmas! I had a crap load of spools with little filament left over from Masks For Docs printing throughout 2020. I used the rest of that trash to make a dumpster fire ornament, a few card kits for the nieces, and lithophanes of the brats for their parents and grandparents. 👍
Note: turn off support when printing the sword. It will leave a length of plastic inside the sword that can get stuck between two segments of the sword and break it. It happened to me.

So I also printed a purple coronavirus, but the remix I printed has a mean little face on it. I did mean to make a snow globe with him... Mind the filaments with glow (and probably glitter) - they're actually really abrasive to your nozzle so they can widen it out pretty quick apparently. Strontium aluminate is some coarse stuff.... I've printed part of a roll in a cheap import nozzle and haven't seen too much change or degradation in print quality (the surest sign) but I'm on the lookout for it and have another cheap nozzle at hand to replace when needed. I might print some of these even on my very not modern 3D printer: old school Replicator 2X (with decidedly modern PrusaSlicer), so take that 😜

If I go FDM I want something that has a fairly decent print area , can print good detail , be reliable , then comes down to what I can afford which is up to a budget of $2,000 AUD which is $1,353 USD ( wow I didn't realise the massive difference lately ) People say buy one cheap under $1000 first but I'd rather buy one with Auto Levelling re auto fill , fast print speed , large print area and good print detail which I think comes down to nozzle size ?
