The Beastie Boys had legendary DJ's too! DJ Hurricane, Mix Master Mike, Rick Rubin.
Doctor Dre, who co hosted Yo! MTV Raps was their DJ briefly too.

@@ControversyMusic wow
great to hear props being given.
Not today they aren’t lol
100% couldn't of said it better if I tried
100% agree. Was just listening to Tougher Than Leather with my son last week. Run-DMC is still the gold standard for groups.
W don’t forget OutKast, Gangstarr, NWA, Wu-Tang👍
Beastie boys for sure was one of his inspirations.
I always thought Mixmaster Mike is the GOAT. I can’t think of anyone better. He won so many competitions they asked him to be a judge since no one wanted to compete for second when Mike was around.
Hell yeah💪🔥
Mix masta cut cut cut fasta
🐐!!!
Some voices got treble/ Some voices got base / We got the kind of voices that are in your face...
Beasties did the back and forth better than Run DMC. Hello Nasty is just next level vocal trading. It’s incredible.
"The Move" is next level and on Hello Nasty.
Actually, they stopped doing the voice trading during the recording of Hello Nasty (5th Album). The second album 'Paul's Boutique' was the last album they voice traded on every song.
@@kurtisschilk1218Thanks for letting everyone know you’ve never listened to Hello Nasty.
Everyone???? Tell me a song on Hello Nasty where they are finishing each other's verse like they do on License to Ill or Paul's@@cloud1stclass372
Have you come up with anything yet??? I'm really curious to know the name of this song......@@cloud1stclass372
I got lucky as fuck. I got to see..........while on 2 Mitsubishi rolls of XTC. Run DMC, Rage Against the Machine, and the Beastie Boys close out. Eddie Vedder, the Cult, Blondie, and the Roots too, but THOSE FUCKING 3 GROUPS CLOSE OUT THAT SHOW? NOTHING BETTER. AND I GOT TO SEE RAGE, TRIBE CALLED QUEST, AND THE BEASTIE BOYS ON THE ORIGINAL TIBETAN FREEDOM FEST ORIGINAL SHOW IN SAN FRAN. Tribe and the Beastie Boys I saw together like 5 or 6 times tho.
Damm that’s crazy🔥🔥🔥Tribe must’ve killed it 👍
Saw the same, but I’ll one up you and tell you my very first concert I got to go to in Reno Nevada was the together forever tour with the besties and run dmc when both were at their pinnacle.
My cousins friend got grounded so he couldn’t go and I begged my parents at 12 years old to go with my older cousin. Glad I was an 80’s kid, and moms and dad were cool af
@@lakermd Yeah but they became something completely once Check your head came out. The went past just the rap show. Having a live band and playing it makes it something else.
Eminem with a beard somehow losses power when he shaves it it’s slim shady underneath
Nwa
Wdym?
All true.. but damn dude has got to shave that isis lookin beard!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Fr🤣🤣🤣I’m still waiting on that new album though 🔥
Beastie boys were way better sry
agreed
I "personally" think the Beastie Boys are one of the best GROUP'S. Edit- N.W.A 👇 nah not for me, they are good don't get me wrong. Run-DMC are great, Public Enemy are up there. Been listening to the Beasties since 89-90 in England and like Run-DMC and Public Enemy are from New York (KRS-ONE) and that is roots of hip hop then in the 90s is when the music industry turned it into guns, bitches and bling. I don't just listen to rap but also punk, ska, reggae and more and all that mixed together. All the Beasties could play their own instruments and also are punk. Just my personal choice. I got banned from RUclips for a day for some reason so just edited this comment.
They’re not bad but there’s also N.W.A. Wu-Tang, OutKast, Run-DMC, and many more man🔥
