This part blew me away 3:02 - 3:21 how he flipped those sticks while he kept playing, you have to be very talented to do that and practiced a lot to pull that off!! :)
This is amazing I don't actually play drums or percussion I'm in colorguard so watching the quads was always something i loved to do but I've never seen playing this good
Can anyone give me a estimate on how much these quad drums would cost? I'm a percussionist and these would be great in giving me some diversity for my solos, and possible a lot of new beats/fills for the 2 bands that I'm in.
k from like 3:49 to like the end of the playing it looks like his body is still and his arms are moving in like fast motion haha this the sickest drumming iv ever seen and all the stick dribbling he does between 1:40 and 1:50 is just nasty
@ELLIS53567 just caz u think u are good doesn't mean u are. In a sophomore just got done with our marching season on tenors and I will probably never be that good. That's was amazing I'd love to see you even attempt 10 seconds of that!
They are always called tenoers but if theres 4 they are also called quads and if they add the higher on i nthe middle they call them quints...this is the first times iv seen more than 5 so...yea
that ws amazing and my friend next to me wants to write somethin: when i'm in highschool im gonna do quads... i alrready have some experience both r drummers! :)
@superjacob99 Who cares how many drums there are... lol quads, quints, tenors, sixes whatever... I play the TENORS and there's 5 drums, I call them Cinco's!
@SkyFoxCode I disagree, drum corps didnt origionate in America, and it took America a long time to get into it. Look up drumlines from Norway or something you'll see.
im sure that took considerable amouth of skill the first part that he played, but i like when he stopped around 45 seconds and that next part, to me that sounded way better but the whole performance was holy shit. LOL
Lets bag on him for being good? Its good and what he does and puts a lot of effort into it as you can tell. I think its great but no you people just pick at the mistakes and how its so easy but i think its really great..
Next time someone at school tells me you dont need skill to play percussion i will show them this video.
You do need skill and practice to switch hands and all the other stuff.
Dont think that this guy can do it just easy peasy.
This part blew me away 3:02 - 3:21 how he flipped those sticks while he kept playing, you have to be very talented to do that and practiced a lot to pull that off!! :)
Look Up Blue Devil Drumline
I am a sophomore and i have been a tenor for. A few years and i can't even dream about that! You sir are a badass.
He has those bands to hide them unhumam wrists.
I swear he can play thumbs up
Am I the only one who thinks of a Chinese chef while he is playing! Haha
Japanese?
You mean Japanese chef at Benihana's?
this makes me want to practice. i feel like a disgrace to the percussioning world
0:46 i like that part tbh
This is the drummer equivalent of a hibachi chef
Yeah.love it.so happy that you shared.always have loved the quads
This is amazing I don't actually play drums or percussion I'm in colorguard so watching the quads was always something i loved to do but I've never seen playing this good
Yup the sound is soo confusing haha
@superjacob99 theyre still called quads because traditionally they were 4 but added more but still kept the name.
he musta been ticked when he fumbled a bit but other than that AMAZING!!
Those figure eights though! Nice diddles too
Can anyone give me a estimate on how much these quad drums would cost? I'm a percussionist and these would be great in giving me some diversity for my solos, and possible a lot of new beats/fills for the 2 bands that I'm in.
quads are tenors, although they are used interchangeably. quads refers to four drums. there are also quints and sixes, which is what these really are.
Jaw dropping moment.....wow...im in awe
WHAT IN GODS NAME DID I JUST SEE 0:36

Quad player 3 years running, can't imagine being able to do this in my sleep, Ugh going back to snare

k from like 3:49 to like the end of the playing it looks like his body is still and his arms are moving in like fast motion haha this the sickest drumming iv ever seen and all the stick dribbling he does between 1:40 and 1:50 is just nasty

Harris Hennington 11 years ago.. wow lol. I played bass for 2 years and snare for one. The friend played snare for 2 years and tenors for 2 years.

Do the Blue Devils just make him drop sticks in every competition thing, so they don't score over 100 or something?

@superjacob99 Who cares how many drums there are... lol quads, quints, tenors, sixes whatever... I play the TENORS and there's 5 drums, I call them Cinco's!

@SkyFoxCode I disagree, drum corps didnt origionate in America, and it took America a long time to get into it. Look up drumlines from Norway or something you'll see.
pretty fucking impressive
I think my computer glitched and fast forwarded the video.
I know the answer to both those easy ass questions as does most other dci fans, but thanks for trolling
@bamaluvr2360 It's just a matter of personal tastes though your facts are correct.

Wow. That's all I've to say. I play tenors, too!
@superjacob99 It's just a general term.

Yet metal drummers (especially ones focused on hand speed) are accused of having no feeling and the old "fast doesnt mean good" trope.

Lets bag on him for being good? Its good and what he does and puts a lot of effort into it as you can tell. I think its great but no you people just pick at the mistakes and how its so easy but i think its really great..
