The drum corps environment stressed me out a ton, and I stopped picking up my sticks the past few years. PERHAPS this could be a way to get back into drumming, because reviewing these sounds fun
Good morning! This is video 106 of me asking for a drumline gym made out of various marching percussion instruments, such as the tenor barbell, and bass drumbbells.
Man, I wish I had this simple amount of instruction 25 years ago when I was in the line. Maybe you can do a video for snare and even base. This simple 20 minute video is gold for new and upcoming percussionists.
3:40, and that “guy” kinda did the beginning of the BD 90 tenor feature because it’s non other than Vern Johnson who marched BD on tenors from 88-90, 92 and then of course Blast!
Triplets =/= triple beat/check pattern 4. What he played was triple beat aka check pattern 4 and expertvillage played check pattern 4 but claimed he was playing triplets
This is video #47 of requesting Eric to do another "Behind the Gock Block" Episode. The last episode was 10-20-2020! It's time for Eric to bring back all of his characters!
Hey emc production, i am a big fan of yours and i have troubles when hitting the drums fast, you see when im playing the drums very fast, my wrist/hands seems to get fatigued easily and it gets hard, do you have anytips to solve this problem?
I'm not sure what he uses and you should also totally specify whether you want a tenor stick or a snare stick. If you really are curious you can do a Google search for what drumsticks difference Drum Corps use. If you want a good snare stick I cannot more highly recommend the Vic First Corpmaster Ralph Hardimon. They aren't too heavy, cheap and get great tone out of a drum with an overall amazing feel. For tenors I have 2 suggestions. The Innovative Percussion Paul Rennick sticks are very nice with how they are built and I personally like them however they tend to be a bit expensive and aren't too durable. I also like the IP FS-T2 Shorty sticks and I do kind of use them more as practice sticks. At the end of the day though, almost any stick made by a big company (Vic Firth, Promark, Innovative Perc) is used by a professional drummer

3:42 hey my drum instructor was in blast on snare! 😀
So nice having instructional tenor drum videos on youtube!
We need a snare version of this
Yeah that would be a good video also but in my opinion it’s also way easier to find snare licks online then tenors
Fr
He has pretty much done that already when he posted his rudiment videos.
We need a triple drum version of this
10:29 Loopy Grandma is happy that she didn't post a comment before she got to this part!!! 😘🥁🔥🥁😘
Sup!
Gotta love the Loopy Grandma!
Hi Loopey Grandma!

“That guy”- aka VERN JOHNSON THA ABSOLUTE LEGEND ON TWO COASTS AND ALL TIME GOD OF THIS SHIT
Best part of the video was definitely your "candyapplization" of those rudiments 😂
I look forward to video where you show licks that look easy, but are really hard to play! (especially together with other drummers)
another banger from the goat himself
This is video number 10 of me asking you to make a base drum into a snare drum. Maybe snases?
This is some great educational material right here! Good stuff especially for students looking to write
Left sweep, Right sweep, Helicopter, Helicopter, Cross-stick Boom Every 90's HS tenor solo
We needed this, thanks
I don't play drums and never will. I feel like all these would still be way too hard, lol. You make them all look easy!
TYSM
I think the difficult part about the Casey claw is just figuring out the motion and getting comfortable with it
Jig 2 is how you impress any non percussionist, better yet, do it blindfolded.
That’s what the quads did in my drum line for the drum line battle
Drum go boom!

Exceptional Video, Eric. I don't play tenors, but I will airdrum the shit out of these patterns!!
“Easy!” As he has four limbs on the thumbnail lol
If we create a drinking game for every time you do a stick flip....

I think there's another definition of "easy" when you did this your whole life 😀
EMC: "Expert Village doesn't know what the triple beat sounds like."
Also EMC: 0:27

@@EMCproductions thanks EMC. You're seriously one of my top drumming idols ever.

Excuse me EMC can you make a video (meaning tutorial) on how to play the one at 11:19 because I want to try it on Quads?
Awwww man. I was really hoping to see “The Machamp Lick” based on the thumbnail
What if you made tenortenors, where you have five of each drum placed roughly where the single drum should be on quint-tenors
Octopus vs. Spider
Ultimate drum showdown!!!

Anyone else saying "doylee doylee doylee" when he was playing them
Day 2 of asking for Timbors (Timbale+Tenors)
I challenge you to make a tenor with gongs
Bro can you play Mary had a little lamb
13:24 i heard kerosene 😶😶
So on the tenor the half note means a crossover. Then what about snares?
In my experience, usually same thing. The music notation will probably tell you for sure
Good morning

What kind of drumstick do you use emc? Because i would like to know so that i could buy a drumstickt that a pro drummer is using.. can anyone tell me?
