I bought the XF10 right around the time that covid started then ended up having to sell it. I finally got it again a couple of weeks ago. I love the size and the quality of the photos it takes. Great video!
I almost got the x70 instead, just happened to find the xf-10 for a good deal. I like that the x70 has more physical dials/controls. Hello, glad it was helpful for you. I still think the xf10 is an excellent choice. I have never used the x-s10 but if you need an interchangeable lens camera than that will be the choice. The XF10 wins in the convenience category, it fits in your pocket, has a fixed lens, and the photos look great. It just depends on what you need it for.

I've only ever shot with a phone camera before, but my phone's camera broke a few months ago and since the rest of the phone works fine anyway, I couldn't justify buying a new phone just for a newer/better camera. (Especially since these phones with great cameras are at around like 1000 dollars). So I was looking around to find just a camera that I could use in a similar manner, and I think this one could fit what I'm looking for. Just something I can point and shoot at my meals, selfies with my wife, and quick pics of my pets (maybe the occassional landscape if the city looks particularly nice). what I need is a compact full frame same size as an Olympus XA... dont need 10fps or 6k video. I love my olympus XA but damn manual focus on it can be tricky after a few beers

The x-a cameras are definitely underrated, perfect size, interchangeable lenses , and really affordable. I get that, it can be a little awkward since it’s so small with not much grip. I keep a wrist strap on it just in case it slips out of my hand, saved me a few times.
@@alexbemanian The camera had some chinese fans and they created a custom grip for it that extended the camera lengthwise. It made the camera the same shape as the Ricoh GR2.
I couldn’t agree more. I have both an XF10 and an X100V, and the camera that comes with me more often is the XF10 just because it’s less obtrusive. The image quality isn’t quite as good as the X100V, although it’s pretty close. It needs an updated version!

I have dony alpha 5100 which i bought to learn photography but hardly used it becuase it doesnt fit in pocket and i hate carrying around. I want to take family photos and street photos only. Do you recommend to get this instead which fits in pocket and not overly priced.
Yes it would be a perfect camera for your use case, it may even be a little overkill. You could find something a lot cheaper that fits in your pocket for everyday photos. The xf10 is the premium option for this if that’s what you’re looking for.
You know, it looks good, yet, I have the X70, it's very pleasant as the xf-10 must be , or my GR, and I thought of getting the XF-10 to get out of the 16mpx range. One must also admit that the X70 don't always focus perfect. as I don't use snap focus as much as with my GR. But all together, it's something else. Actually, even though it's Fuji, I was very impressed the other day after watching a video off the Nikon Coolpix A, another 16mp also without antialias filter, and what nailed me was to me the much better color science coming out of it, than what I experienced with my GR, X70 and maybe even the old RX1R II that's not ne most convenient camera despite what one could believe (also focus issues, erratic light metering sometimes, etc.). So, surprised by that, I went on Flickr Nikon A photo group, and there too, in comparaison of the X70 and others I mentioned, I was impressed by the very righteous color and tone of that Nikon Coolpix A. Especially at night where colors are definitely better than my X70, here forget the GR out of tone and Sony is somewhat cold greyish (test on city at night) so now I hesitate. For larger mpx count and more advanced features the XF-10 may have, I don't know if I'll aim to get the XF-10 or the A. I was already lurking at the XF-10, knowing it's another good compact APS-C but now, am I going to go with the A, which, surprisingly I found new on some New York camera site that must have had a load of them since it's not grey market, I don't know... From all these shared thought, would you have any experience with the NIkon A ? That would be interesting to know your thoughts if you do, vs the XF-10 as it's hard to see any YT video comparing them. Thank you for any insight...

First of all the xf-10 is incredible, I have never used a more capable camera that’s fits in my pocket other than an iPhone. To me the xf-10 is the perfect pocket camera, if that’s what you’re looking for. But I will say, I don’t love the images out of the camera as much as other old Fujifilm cameras like my x pro 1, which has less megapixels. The xf-10 files are really sharp and the colors are way cooler, which can be fixed in post or white balance etc. I have never used the Nikon Coolpix A, but I would love to! It looks like an amazing little camera, I don’t know much about it, but it seems pretty comparable to the xf10. Maybe someday I can do a side by side comparison. All I can say for certain is the xf10 is incredible, I would buy it again. Good luck on your decision, you can’t miss with those options

What I know is that for service/replacement etc. if broken, each time I dealt with Fuji, they were great and also, I think it's worth re-mentioning, I find that for quickly evaluating a real life everyone's images, going on Flickr's photo groups for a given camera (or lens for that matter) gives a very good visual insight of how a camera/lens renders, and some photographers being very good in these groups, it also allows for the average photographer to see how good a camera can be when used with talent, but here, edit has also to be considered. Best.
I sure regret selling this camera. Back then I didn’t really understand how to shoot in the 28mm format. I bought it when it first came out and was reasonably priced. Now I’d really hesitate to buy it for what it sells for here in Tokyo. Too bad! Fuji - update it!😊

Fuji camera transfer app is absolutely worthless addict around with it for three years. I’ll never buy or endorse or recommend purchasing a Fuji camera for that reason! It’s 2025 almost in a major player in consumer in professional gear cannot write a program that is easy to use fool proof quick and that’s what it supposed to. How can anyone explain that that’s my rant
The app is frustrating for sure and if you need to transfer photos right away to your phone this isn’t a great option. It won’t stop me from buying a Fuji camera though , I usually transfer all my photos from my sd card days, weeks, or months later. @@Ed-lz4jv I agree the AF is bad, thats why I use the snap focus (zone focus) function, it never misses. I’m sure the Ricoh GR III is awesome. Having a sharper lens and IBIS would be nice, but not sure it’s worth paying double the price. Maybe for some people it will be, but I was stoked to pick up the xf-10 for well under $500 when the the grIII is going for $1000. Give me a little EVF built in then we can justify that $1k price tag

Always avoid the high end model coz the main theme for a Fuji Camera is not hardware but its presets. For me the best fuji X series was XE- models

I had one. My main gripe was that it was not comfortable to hold.

Hello! For these photos I mostly used the astia color profile in Lightroom as a starting point editing the raws.

My impression is the Samsung NX Mini is the best pocket camera and for video too.
The Samsung looks like an epic little camera. I prefer the larger APS-c sensor over a 1” for photos though

I think the xf usually refers to Fujis lenses on APS-c cameras but I don’t know for sure
How is the nigt shot? Can it be used in concerts and night clubbing?
It’s perfect for indoor photography because the flash works great! Keep in mind it’s a wide focal length so you need to get up close
