The most significant one is the removal of the Skaven vs Dark Elves battle, which didn't really add much to the overall story/lore. This resulted in a more "condensed" video. In this instance, we explore the origins of the ratmen and then we proceed to talk a bit about Skavenblight, the capital city of the Skaven. Hope you enjoy this episode!

On a serious note it's never confirmed who that was. No official source made any claim of the man's identity. Loremaster of Sotek has a good theory though, that the man was Tzeentch. Watch his Skaven Q&A he explains it better but basically it's well within Tzeentch's character to do something like that just because he would think it's funny. Tzeentch isn't the great horned rat though. The great horned rat is his own god, that much is confirmed.

I guess the whole tale is meant to be a play on the tale of the pied piper, the whole Human leading a bunch of rats, and striking a deal with people that ended terribly in the end
For all we know it could have been a Skaven sorcerer using some form of warp fuckery to appear human, and the bell was a psychic beacon meant to draw the blessings of the Great Horned Rat and turn the city into a safe haven for their species. Somebody fanfic that $#!7 up!
I want a live action version of the Headtaker novel, cause that book is badass, all they need is alot of practical effects, I'd love to see an actual lifelike suit of Queek Headtaker and his large rack, I'd wager it'd be heavy as fuck but just find some bodybuilders up north and give em nerd neck, although I'll understand if Ska Bloodtail's suit would kill anyone whose in it for too long, although I'll understand if they can't because of the mass genocide of local rat populations and use CGI, just have it be amazing CGI

So do we know anything about the man who finished the tower in a single night? Was he a cheat trainer that enabled 1 turn construction? No but seriously who was this guy? Do we have any details of who he was where he came from what he did or even what he looked like? If not do we have theories? Was he a god? Or demon prince? The thirteen is such a good tale, seriously whoever wrote it deserves some recognition. That’s some Tolkien level world building right there.
I kind of doubt it. The ability to somehow take a giant glowing bell up to the top of the tower without any of the city's builders noticing as well as being able to finish the tower in one night that took the other builders whole generations just to get there implies he might've already had some serious power; if he wasn't the Horned Rat in disguise, the stranger at least was some sort of favored acolyte or servant sent to create and propogate the Horned Rat's destined children. The fact that the Skaven themselves don't seem to acknowledge this stranger in their religious practices would seem to confirm this latter idea of the stranger being some acolyte/servant of the Horned Rat, since you'd think they'd take that important detail into account considering how much they genuinely love (and fear) the Horned Rat.

@@CampaignerSC IIRC it's been established that the Skaven mostly fight themselves (usually infighting between different clans; shoot, if I remember right, there was a _400-year long civil war_ among the Skaven), and it's their sheer inability to trust one another and not backstab and betray each other that has stopped them from unifying as one military force and completely devouring the surface world... at this point in time, at least.
Does anyone recall a story when the skaven tried to invade a Dwarfhold but were thwarted by their Ironbreakers covering the hallways, so they spent months putting wrapstone in the water to poison the Dwarves? Does any know which video this was from?
The skaven have their own doomsday theory, they increase their numbers beyond count and develop their wicked warp stone weapons in preperarion for that coming day, the day the mutant terrier race rears its head!

No; I think it seems like the stranger's bell slowly morphed the rats into the Skaven, like extremely sped-up evolution. Notice how the city's rats are only described as getting unusually hungry a short time after the bell begins the ring, but later on the rats are described as getting bigger and bolder, and eventually near the end of the story they're stated to have become huge and able to take on desperate human warriors. It seems the bell slowly transformed the rats of the city (ordinary rats) into the man-sized, two-legged, vile and cunning Skaven; it's not that they only lived underground, it's that they literally didn't exist yet until after the Stranger implemented the bell that prompted their origins. This is further supported by the fact that this story, "The Doom of Kavzar", is repeatedly touted in the Warhammer universe as being the _origin story_ of the Skaven (meaning, how they first began) and _not_ just a story how they rose to power.
So who was this man that completed the tower for the manlings? Was he the creator of the Skaven? Did his magic mutated the rats of the city into Skaven?
