This video goes mainly over the Karaz Ankor, or "The Everlasting Realm". The Kingdom of the dwarfs consist of a collection of mighty holds, many of which have already fallen to natural disasters or an overwhelming number of enemies. 15 different stories are told in this episode. Despite the many tragedies that their race have endured over the centuries, the dwarfs still stand proud and defiant.
Give it time. This warhammer/WH40k shits catching on. People or shall we call them "normies" are beginning to say "Hey I just found this thing called warhammer. It's brand new and it's cool" Lol 😆
This type of lore video on cities with in-game footage makes me wish there were in-game looping videos of what the cities look like up close and within that you can view when you take them in the game. That little bit of fluff would really add to the immersion. If a city gives me access to a special ore smelter, then I wanna actually see what that smelter looks like in the framework of the city. Amazing work as always. As a friendly reminder; 'Revenge' is a noun, and 'avenge' is the verb.
There was a page in the Book of Grudges ever since the fall of many of the holds of Karaz Ankor during the Age of Woe, that there has to be a historian that would brave the holds and document in great detail the lost history of the dawi from that age. That page has now been crossed out as YOU have made this history here! May the gods of the Forge give you great heat and prosperity!
Just started a dwarf character in a friend's campaign and getting real balls deep in it. This right here is exactly what I needed. Thank you ALL for your work on this channel!
I've always had an unconditional love for Dwarves in every Western fantasy version, and WH isn't any different. This video is an 8 month old blessing of the ancestor gods!
As an avid fan of the Total War games I thought about checking the Warhammer lore out a bit in anticipation of TW: Warhammer 3 and damn, I might have come across a gold mine with this channel. Very well done video. The BGM, the images, your voice. A very enjoyable combination.
Thanks for saying that Chris 🙌🏼 the Warhammer Fantasy universe is very rich, you'll have lore for years if you really want to dig deep into the stories, characters and all 👌🏻
@@TheBookofChoyer I am very sure of that. I had just been too "intimidated" by the sheer mass of it all, as well as not knowing where to really begin with it - since it's not like let's say Lord of the Rings where you just start with the first book and continue down the line haha. But your channel has sparked my interest and I will see how I continue after I watched what you kindly provide on the channel :) Merry Christmas by the way.
Malekith is a fascinating villain too. Stay away from anything marked "End Times"...it's beyond words. Awful, awful. Storm of Chaos is the fan-determined timeline. Kind of a SW EU vs "Sequel Trilogy" issue.
This makes me sick, old Dawrfen Holds taken by outsiders, and yet still not returned to their rightful and ancestral owners? I can feel the hairs in me beard tingling at the mere thought of such injustice
Part of me wonders what would have happened had the skaven and dwarves allied in some form or another. If the dwarves traded warpstone to skaven and so on. How many of these great cities would still stand had the two underground powers worked together. Then again whatever alliance the dwarf and the skaven made would have had to have been made with the great horn and the dawi ancestoral spirits for it to be binding.
@@victory8928tbf, the Skaven made such a pact with Nagash, and broke it to when he threatened the world, for the sole reason that he would kill them as well.
@6:30 Amazing conversions right here from looks to be the Underworlds Fyreslayers warband to proper Dawi. Huge and amazing list of Dwarf holds and settlements, as befitting such a long-lived and storied race. For the Karaz Ankor!
Absolutely thrilled to have stumbled across your channel recently. I'm newer to the Warhammer world / lore but being able to watch your vids has been a pleasure, the quality is superb! It feels like I'm watching a professional documentary :D
@@flaviomonteiro1414it could have been its own thing really. Like imagine just having Sigmar and some other gods reaching this new land made by the old ones and well make use of it. Could explain why the gods are so distant in fantasy, they are busy keeping another realm from being swarmed by chaos.
Love all the effort you put into your videos. Your videos is one of the reasons why I got into Warhammer fantasy lore to begin with. Keep it up. (Also what is the first song used in the intro?)
By the amount of fighting in the Warhammer Fantasy world, women must be pumping out yearly. Skaven have "baby factories", lizardmen have their spawning pools, and orks and goblins grow from their fungus, but humans, elves and dwarves, they must need some effective population production programs to maintain their number.
Dwarves have the benefit that they are kinda hard to kill unless you are grimgore but not much can survive Grimgore. Heck Archeon almost died to grimgore twice.

Wow, I let this continue playing in The background after finishing the recent upload on the official tw channel assuming I was still on there 😂 great stuff man! Getting excited for wh3 as the release draws closer!
If there were two dragon types I would probably expect to see from the dwarven realm, I think one would definitely be a type that I heard about before that dwells in the deepest parts of the earth. Something like a gigantic snake/worm or millipede kind of creature beneath the mountains, so deep that even the Skaven and haven't been there in their Under Empire. And if there was another one, I could see you being something crazy, like a dragon that the dwarves built made of iron and other metals as well as some magic. And it would have to be equal parts steam powered machinery and dwarven rune magic. In fact I could actually see them making a small aerial fleet of those drakes like wyverns. But unfortunately they don't have enough runesmiths to make it happen and most of the Dawi who try to do rune magic end up dying or turning to stone (which in its own way is still basically death). Besides these mechanical dragons that I'm envisioning, I'm actually surprised they don't have giant digging machines similar to the Rat Men. But the Dwarves could probably reuse them as war machines. I also think their breeding problem is probably in the beer that they drink. They might want to switch to wine. Or at least Dwarven women might want to do that. I heard once that drinking wine around the point of conception might change the outcome of a baby's sex/gender when born because of a hormonal change when consuming wine before procreative sex occurs between parents, if fertilization of an egg actually occurs. But that's just a theory of mine. Plus this is mostly a study in the real world about humans. I have no idea how it would affect dwarves. Especially since drinking mead/beer and large amounts of it, is basically part of the religion, literally 😂🤷🏾♂️ 😅🧬🍷🤔🧬🍻😆😂

Revenge can also be used as a verb but it's a bit archaic
Other than text to speech, I think your series is the most I re-watch while playing total war. Your hard work is much appreciated

Real
Age of Sigmar now is pretty awesome, but still not worth killing Fantasy
Real.

This is fantastic, thank you. I particularly like the Silver Pinnacle section
Amazing video chief
Great job, though a map to show the less known Karak's would've helped alot. I got lost after a while.
Thanks for putting all these effort on putting these video on RUclips.

Where did you start? I can't find anything, only read the legend of Sigmar and I absolutely love it!
praise grimnir! love me some dwarf lore
Appreciate your content greatly my dude. Your videos give my Total war campaigns a lot more flavor and inspiration.
My favorite narrator discussing the lore of my favorite race. Thank you so much for this!

Skaven have "baby factories", lizardmen have their spawning pools, and orks and goblins grow from their fungus, but humans, elves and dwarves, they must need some effective population production programs to maintain their number.
Elves and Dwarves aren't pumping out as many babies, their species is sort of dying off. Now humans on the other hand... that's a different story.
The elves aren't quite dying out, but they largely don't have the numbers to maintain an empire beyond their own borders.
Dwarves have the benefit that they are kinda hard to kill unless you are grimgore but not much can survive Grimgore. Heck Archeon almost died to grimgore twice.
Amazing! This is a good listen and sit.
This is how all cinematic battle scenes should be. Get us invested.
Fantastic video! Love such a beautifully detailed and well done documentary on my beloved Dawi
Wish i could like this a 1000 times lol
Great work again
More lore in one video than a Tolkien book. Dwarf lore has to be my favorite :) Thank you for the great video!
Nice vid, the editing the subtitles alone must've taken an age. Respect
Great video. For the dwarf king, for Karaz Ancor!
