That lip turned out great! I ran a body shop for a long time, it's a great skill to learn even if it's just the basics. It opens up a lot of possibilities for what you can do to your car. Anyway nice job man.
Seriously, man. That's one if the cleanest Civics I've ever seen. I'm building an EM2 and am totally bumbed out by all the trash civics I see riding around. Thanks for doing it right. 🎯🤙🏻
The oem lip is much better!!👍👍👍👍i had 1998 civic si and got order the oem lip and make the car look a thousand time better!! I miss my civic and when i saw your videos on your civic brings back the fun i had in that car i sold the my civic when we had hour first baby so i sold it 😢😢 but man i wish i get another one!!!!!.....cheers vince
I love the way the eBay one looked on the car but the oem is taking this one it looks great. This car has been through a crazy transformation over the years and it’s amazing keep up the good work man. These videos inspire me more and more to get a civic and make it look amazing.
Damn, just like you anthony i went to the junk yard and found a OEM HFP lip but found it in black and is basically the same condition as yours when you got it. im gonna do it on my own as you have inspired me to do it
I know this isn't exactly a tutorial but watching your step by step process on your lip has given me confidence to paint my rear spoiler! On the side note, my spoiler has drill holes, but I want to apply the red bond 3M tape; would you recommend putting the tape on my spoiler first (covered of course) and then paint? Or paint it first and then place the tape on there afterwards? I ask because I'm worried the tape might rip off the outer layer(s) of the paint once its done and fall off my car. (This question goes for any other viewers reading this!)
Remember when you said you prefer the aftermarket style lip over the OEM because it looks more aggressive? Trust me, you'll think the OEM looks better when you have it now. LOL OEM almost always looks better than the aftermarket style for any front/rear lips and spoiler too. Whenever you see ALL the mounting tabs on an OEM lip, you know its game over. I don't understand why aftermarket lips don't provide those tabs but it is such a game changer. Not only does it align the lip PERFECTLY but it hugs it on the bumper so freakin amazingly. I'm so happy these things make you happy but I've been through all of this LOL.
This is a great vid, very well-explained and I love that you showed each product and explained why you chose it. I’m planning on sanding and repainting a used spoiler for my car and this helps a lot!
2k clear is the only way to go. I’ve re cleared many carbon fiber parts and headlights with that stuff. Heck I even did a fender on my truck that the clear failed on. Looks good homie.
I'm late to the party but thank you for the video. I'm about to do a lip for my 2021 corolla and no need for me to watch any other video as yours explains it all. Your civic looks great. You could also paint your lip, side skirts and mirror caps all black and that would all tie into your black rims and it would look so aggressive without looking over the top.
If it’s bare plastic there is a plastic adhesion promoter. Learned the hard way on my bumpers when I painted them and it basically flaked off because I didn’t use it
Good video mate, a few things though, buy a plastic mixing board or a parchment paper mixing pad for the future. Cardboard soaks up the additives in the hardener and the filler. Wear gloves when painting, if you’re gonna touch the part after you clean it because oils from your hands will get right back on the part. Buy a soft block to wrap the sand paper around when sanding so you don’t get uneven pressure when sanding from your finger tips. Last thing please wait till the end to clear the whole piece at once. All that clear overspray that landed on the lip (unless you sanded it down off camera) now has paint on top of it and has potential for failure later down the road.
ALLDAYANTHONY Good deal, I have been working on cars for a good 15 years but your channel was one of the reasons that made me want to start doing videos of my own. My channel is super small time but I do gain subs everyday so maybe one day I will get to your level. Keep rocking it man!
That was awesome dude. I'm not painting or planning too but you nailed it. Not only the finished product but the production of the video. Most enjoyable.
Been watching all your vids and I just have to say first off, your Civic is amazing. Well kept and maintained. I love the simplicity of the car and the classic look of that car. Amazing videos. Keep up the excellent content!!
THAT LIP BE MATCHIN THAT OEM GRILL JUST FINE BROTHER I REALLY THINKING OF GET THE "REAR S! LIP" FOR MY EX COUPE IN BLACK EVEN THOUGH I HAVE THE "CLOVER GREEN PEARL" I THINK IT JUST GIVES IT THAT LITTLE TINNY EXTRA BACK END TO MAKE UP A FULL REAR END LOOK KEEP IT UP MAN
Hey Man, Once again I great video... I have been following the build since the time you got the civic and have been doing some of the things on my civic though due to covid 19, its been hard to get parts delivered.. Keep up the good work.. Love From New Zealand
How many cans of each paint did you use? I’m prepping to spray front and rear lip along with grille and am not certain regarding quantity. Thanks for the great content!
Bro. Do a video where you upgrade to the cold air intake that you originally wanted. You said that back in your video when you talked about all of the things you did to the car. I would really suggest that. I think it would make your engine bay look even nicer.
ANTHONY ! I appreciate your videos so much. Thank you for taking the time to film your processes. I've been inspire to customize my 2000 Honda civic DX.. I bought a lip from eBay and I want to do the most and also buy the molding you placed between your bumper and lip. However, when Amazon checked for compatibility with the mold you linked it said my civic was incompatible. Part of me is going to buy it anyway, but I wanted to get your opinion. Thanks again. Peace. ✌🏼
Damn you have the same taste I do evo and a ek lol very clean civic will be doing the rear lip I just ordered in a week when it arrives thanks for the paint tips
17:59 "it's red" 😂😂really helpful video man, appreciate how in depth you went. I hate painting but I think you've inspired me to repair/paint my Evo's front lip.
Thanks a lot i really appreciate it. It's really amazing that we can learn at the same time and get an awesome result. That red paint looks amazing on the car and the lid looks really professional.
Came across your video on my journey to painting a spoiler for my '18 Camry. Very informative and great documentary of your process. It's given me the courage to tackle my project. Keep up the good work! Any update on the rock salesmen?
jumped a few thousand subs in 3 weeks! Picking up steam man!! And as for the lip, nice work, and OEM always looks the cleanest. Almost like it was made for it ;)
Hey not pointing out anything wrong just a little bit advice for Bondo try to use a like a cooking sheet like wax paper or metal to mix on you'll save a little money but awesome video and I learned something I didn't think of . I just did my lip and totally forgot about the flex lol oh well
@@ALLDAYANTHONY yeah I mean card board at home is easier to come by. The wax paper makes mixing it easier but I'm with ya on the card board I have a 97 Civic and bought it from a guy from Jersey so needless to say it's got a little rust on the quarter panels by the wheels I have to fix and I'm going to do card board just because I have alot laying around lol
The story about the kids selling rocks was adorable! Hope they see the video at some point lol, props to you for supporting small business :)
I think they will!
Bradley Hove I haven’t seen the vid yet I hope by rocks you don’t mean crack rocks 😂😂😂
that 2k clear is magic, used it when painting my wheels a year ago and they've stayed just as "wet", wont ever use anything else out of a can
It’s amazing stuff that’s for sure
Hands down my favorite youtuber at the moment!!! Inspired me to start making my own videos, first one going up this week
Zack Pack hope to see you at the top 🙌🏻❤️
Motivational Ricer Thank you for the love❤️🙏🙏🙏
Zack Pack subbed 😌🙃
\[#_#]/ thank you!
That lip turned out great! I ran a body shop for a long time, it's a great skill to learn even if it's just the basics. It opens up a lot of possibilities for what you can do to your car. Anyway nice job man.
Appreciate you chiming in to say that! Thank you
I keep finding these small RUclipsrs with old jdms I love it
Seriously, man. That's one if the cleanest Civics I've ever seen. I'm building an EM2 and am totally bumbed out by all the trash civics I see riding around. Thanks for doing it right. 🎯🤙🏻
I wish Honda started remaking parts for these cars or even remake them. Also, remake parts and d series,b series and k series
Not to forget the H and F series
Get your hondas while u can, another decade or so and they are going to become rare. Get em build em, get parts.. cash cow later in life.
The oem lip is much better!!👍👍👍👍i had 1998 civic si and got order the oem lip and make the car look a thousand time better!! Watching you paint wasn’t boring at all! I’m trying to learn how to paint some parts as well thanks for the informative video!
Glad I could help!
I love the way the eBay one looked on the car but the oem is taking this one it looks great. This car has been through a crazy transformation over the years and it’s amazing keep up the good work man. These videos inspire me more and more to get a civic and make it look amazing.

ALLDAYANTHONY no problem man. Keep up the great work 💯 I look forward to future videos.
Oem is Si lip is the way to go! Cant wait until you boost that d16 or do a b/k swap. Keep it up, love watching the civic contents!
Thanks man! I’m more inclined to swap down the road
Good to see another video out! Always look forward to them!
More to come!
Factory is 100x better imo, great job on bringing it back to new, looks like my em1 now except red 🔥👍🤟🏼💯
Damn, just like you anthony i went to the junk yard and found a OEM HFP lip but found it in black and is basically the same condition as yours when you got it. im gonna do it on my own as you have inspired me to do it
Black bezel headlights with a retro fit would compliment the civic so well. Great videos brother!
Mate, that looks beautiful. Nothing beats factory fresh👍
YES! ANOTHER CIVIC VLOG!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
You already know! Thanks dude!
My boyyyyyy already liked, love that red civic
Thanks for watching man!!
Aye Anthony don’t worry bro it’s not boring at all painting projects are always thrilling a learning garage type of thing I enjoyed it tbh
So good, so clean! Never stop doing this mate 🔥👍
Excellent job. I work in a body shop and there's nothing wrong with your technique. 😎👍🔰
Thanks man!!

I like the look of the eBay style more, but I like the fitment of OEM. If there was a more aggressive oem lip I’d be all over it!
I was going to call this “earth shattering” then I turned the news on. Great job Anthony! Looking forward to what you do next.
Hahaha these videos are hitting a little harder nowadays
This is a great vid, very well-explained and I love that you showed each product and explained why you chose it. I’m planning on sanding and repainting a used spoiler for my car and this helps a lot!
This lip looks so good! 10/10 Much preferred over the ebay for what its worth. The fitment is just amazing.
You're an inspiration to young car guys man. Thumbs up!!!
Thank you!
2k clear is the only way to go. I’ve re cleared many carbon fiber parts and headlights with that stuff. Heck I even did a fender on my truck that the clear failed on. Looks good homie.
You have the cleanest civic of the world.
Well, I don’t know about the world necessarily lol
ALLDAYANTHONY ive seen way better

As you said, "it's only a Civic" but i'd be proud showing up in this car
I am proud! Thank you!
The oem lip looks so good

All great tips! I didn’t resend that cleared area but I’ll keep an eye on it for sure
