Excellent review. I've played all Diablo 3 on all platforms: PS3, PS4, PC and now Switch. The thing that makes this game worth it is the ability to play it on the go and, like you said, stop it and start it whenever you want.

Very nice way of explaining this game to those who still have not played this after all these years or to all newcomers. Only a couple of hours till release. Cant wait even though i played this many many years on pc but just the idea of playing this everywhere is so cool.
The, “Is it worth it” phrase in the title, has really become a trend with Switch games.

I wish this had some sort of cross play. I would buy this in a heartbeat if I could continue my Paragon level that I've been leveling up on PC since forever.

Being able to play as Ganondorf is as close as the series can get to allowing you to play as a new race so I am going to be using it like ALL THE TIME and having a chicken follow me around......number one reason to buy this again pretty much lol

i love your channel so much..but theres one thing i dont get. Why is every nintendo/switch channel talking about diablo III like no one has ever heard of that franchise (10th most successfull game of all time at some point). Whenever a new CoD comes out no one is explaining it like "you have a veriety of weapons and shoot people. and it has a multiplayer option too!" as everyone does with this port. I dont know it just bothers me
Whenever reviewing a game, you have to write it so that anyone can understand what's going on, even if they have no prior knowledge. If someone reads a review who has never even heard of the series we need to cater to them. It's not fair to expect complete understanding of a game before being able to properly understand a review.
Diablo has never been before on a Nintendo console, so I guess most watchers have little grasp on what’s it about.
I have never played or even heard of Diablo until now and because of this video I actually want to play the game now. I appreciate Nintendo life giving a review on this game for the people like me who mostly play on Nintendo that has never played or heard of this game before.

I think a lot of people that own a Switch aren't gamers like we are and are more "casual", so they may never have heard of a game like Diablo 3.

If you are enjoying it already... Get a wizard with full tal rasha set. Then you will understand the true fun of diablo 3!
hi, you mentioned about playing this game with friends or online. what if I do not have anyone to play with? could I still finish the game solo? I am afraid the online is dead but most of all, I do not like playing online with other people because they made you feel stupid or something. Is it still worth buying it in 2023 providing I have never played Diablo 3 (or any Diablo) before? Thank you

so I have been playing d2 & d3 for years, bought d3 when it first came out, never purchased any of the expansions and just resurrected my pc account to play thru normal a couple of times before the switch release. today going thru act ii to get whats his names head, I was doing my normal walk along the rock walls of the outer world and then fill in the middle to get full clears of the outer world and I stumbled upon a 'new to me' side quest area that I didn't realize was accessible on the other side of the 'rock wall' ... imagine my surprise lol ... thanks for your review, im pre purchased for d3 on switch so just waiting till tomorrow to have fun too :D
Just grabbed this on sale for $20 I’m loving it so far
Was toying with the idea of this for ages, but certainly not at full price, and last few days it's been in sale on amazon for £30 and it is well worth the money. I've been a bit disappointed with the switch games after botw, mk8 and odyssey, as the eshop is an absolute cesspit of crud. BUT I am extremely glad I got this, had it on pc when it came out but mouse and keyboard feels a bit jank with the nature of the game for me, on switch you can really appreciate how these kids of games can feel great to play, plus I'm an absolute loot whore. I've hardly put it down over last 2 days

Been playing this game about a week now and I am addicted! So far played the monk and the witch doctor. I think I prefer the doctor so far.
Wish I could like this game but the repetition of button mashing everything to death doesn’t seem to interest me.
So you don't know why people hated it at first? It was the fkn RMT auction house. How did you forget that?
If you want to do a good review of d3 you can't really do so without illuminating the gameplay of rifts and greater rifts and at least a little tidbit on set bonuses for end game. That's the whole motivating factor for continued end game play, and for any loot grid game end game is the entire purpose of the game.
Is there any gameplay features like planting TRAPS, weapons that AUTO-SHOOT.. would add some strategy.... When finished, do you get a score? Is there any stats or highscore table that ranks your result?
This review is what’s wrong with gaming journalists on youtube, most like this guy aren’t even gamers, they just wanna post a video on the hot new game asap for views. This guy didn’t even mention end game progression or gameplay at all, because he obviously didn’t play it that much.
Will the switch app on the phone support voice chat for diablo III?
Diablo III is the best one in my opinion, D4 just didn’t keep me engaged, but D3 kept me engaged for 1,000s of hours and still is. The switch port is an awesome port that can be played offline… D4 main quest line was over far too early and after that it just feels very grindy…. I wish D4 was more like D3… oh well, I will keep playing D3 instead. :)

This guy sounds like the narrator on Warcraft 2, like the guy that talks before the beginning of every mission on the human side. Just picture him saying "Construct an Elven lumber mill and at least four farms."

this review dissuaded me from buying this game multiple times, bought it this black friday sale and gotta say i actually like it. I play on a switch lite and have no problem seeing everything. By lower resolution in portable mode, do you mean the game runs below 720p?

Nice, but buying it a third time for FULL price? thx I will wait for a packaged version with the console or a platinum edition. The online cost is also a terrible joke esp. the instant deletion of saves the moment your contract ends. smh
it only deletes them from the cloud meaning u just have to reupload them (no biggie if you are mindful about that sorta thing) also there is a Diablo themed nintendo switch that comes with the game and it looks pretty sweet
pcuimac saves are deleted after 6 months without an online subscription renewal.
Switch-specific stuff starts at about 6:00 in, and is light on useful info. The rest of the review is wordy rambling, like a poorly written review, read to video footage. Then at 8:15 he says "time for the rambly bit." :o

Worth it man, play with up to 4 people on the same couch! That alone makes this a worthy game compared to the online only garbage on PC.
It started off as a excellent , fun coop game, and end with friendship ending, mood ruining game as there will always be that 1 person who get ALL THE BEST LOOT 😂 you will scream in despair as P3 always get Legendary Gear while you always get at best Rare loot cause the game hates you.
One of the best game on Switch in my opinion, like Splatoon and the Mario games cause you play together hassle free.
I don't recommend playing as the Necromancer, this class is so broken that all I did is stand back and spam raise dead to overwhelmed my foes.

You could use that argument to justify literally anything - "what, you think this $500 box of tissues is too expensive? Get a better job so you can afford it and stop complaning"
That doesn't at all address the argument at hand, which is the pricing of the item itself and the expectation of consumers.
Besides, I already own the game, it's not a matter that I can't afford it. The Switch has a history of releasing games at the upper end of the pricing spectrum, my argument is that a 6 year old game even with DLC being released for more than new triple A titles doesn't seem right.
If you're happy to pay that much then good for you.

Well, not really. But if you want to play better made games without taking into account graphics, diablo and diablo ii are better than 3. And if you really are into arpgs, i could say that path of exile is so much better than this one (this comes from someone who played diablo iii for like 7 years)
@Rawr5649 used to think the same way about fallout 1 and 2. That of course until I played them. There is so many gides out there. Of course d3 is ez af, but people can always adapt. PoE is the best option out there, but no one says it's easy to learn to play it.

Just finished playing some as a necro, which im pretty sure wasnt available when i last played, and i absolutely loved it. Very easy to say ill just play for half an hour, next minute its 3 hours later

thedreadedzero You have to look into your item box and you activate an item called “The Legend of Ganon” then Transmog the armor piece on to your character, 50,000 gold each
D3 is the best game on Switch......PERIOD!

The only thing I don't like is that if I get people to play with me they may Rush the conversation I'm having with a character and I don't know what they're saying or what to do. Because I'm totally new to the game I want to see and hear everything because it's my first time. I don't like it when somebody rushes me or rushes the game like that.

Ok review. I was hoping a lot more content though, as D3 has seen a lot of new content and balance patches. End game is also very important for most players and could bring some performance issues.

I play on pc and I never really cared about the console versions until now so anybody know if seasons r on it and some other things? And if so is it any different at all?
Seasons are the same
Yep. Seasons are in and being that I’ve only played Seasons on the PC, so far, I will be glad to play Seasons on this without having to worry about network/server lag when playing solo. This will change how I play Hardcore Seasons as on the PC I usually have to play on a lower Torment level than I wish due to having to compensate so that my current gear level can take 5-6 seconds of lag damage before death. That way. I could generally recover in time.

You mention in the review that there are different classes but never say what classes there are or what they do, the campaign is just the basic game mode and you only list one other, the seasonal charakters.
Not menitioning the hardcore charakters who become unplayable if you ever die or the adventure gamemode thats key part of the max lvl progression, or that there are multiple difficulty lvls which was the information I wanted to get, if there are only 8 or 17 different difficulty lvls.
And if these things are missing from the switch version it should be mentioned.
All in all my review of your review 7.8/10 Too much water, not enough information.
All this talk of loot makes me want Borderlands and Borderlands 2 on the switch. The switch has so many ruddy ports, but so many that aren't suited to the controls in my opinion. How do you play Diablo without a cursor?
It was also on ps3 and PS4. Been adapted to console for years.

So I bought this game a week ago and I'm having trouble with the controls a little bit. I previously played the original Diablo on PC but on switch I'm pretty confused as to how to put things in the chest, equip things and sell things. IDK if it's because I picked an Archer but so far the gameplay to me seems extremely repetitive. Any help is appreciated or a link to something useful.
