youre a genius. i pull up to the discord production sessions with really loud distorted feedback loops and people react very strongly to it edit: the arped simpler was so so so cool, wholesale stealing that idea
RUclips crashed while I was watching this video and now it says "Your browser can't play this video" it was truly too much madness for my browser to take. RIP RUclips.
This is so cool. I always struggle with making music that has this sort of spontaneity and chaos behind it, which a number of artists I really like do well.
Another thing you can do is to hook op a Launchpad, launch a cool drumloop on another track, and control the arpeggiator of the glitch track with e.g. the User 1 page on the Launchpad... Mate I can't stop jamming now!
I’m 23:39 into it and it’s the best Ableton video... or I should say my favorite ever. (side note, there are quite a few commercials in this particular vid)-- STILL MY FAVORITE ABLETON VIDEO
Another commercial at 25:27 just letting you know Ned, not complaining cuz I respect your videos above all other in Ableton. It really seemed like there was a commercial every 3-4 mins
Btw, don't know if you know about this trick but Mr. Bill showed in a video where you can record the tails from effects even though transport player has stopped with Melda's MRecorder, a free plugin. It's a very nice way to resample sounds as a lot of fun stuff happens in the tail as well =)
very cool, recording device on/off states could be interesting as well, Altough everything you do with this technique could be amazing. Thanks a lot Ned🔥
Hey so a searing, burning question: Obviously doing this stuff clips the fuck out of the channel. You seem to just leave everything at unity in this tutorial, but when i tried it was peaking to like +20db, lots of crunchy clipping distortion etc. Would it sound 'better' with gain staging? or just ramming it into a limiter? or whatever else.
Ah a lesser spotted example of "let's drum buss it" rather than the far more common "let's drum bus it like an idiot". No idea why this video of all videos would have sensible drum bussing.
You can't argue with the results. Which rock.
witch rock
witch rock
witch rock
Beware, you guys said it 3 times, now the rocking witch is coming...
Please don’t summon the witch of rock, none of my guitars are in tune.
This is the most helpful Ableton tutorial I've ever seen.
Every time I watch one of these videos I’m inspired to open Ableton and try new things. EVERY TIME. Thank you sir.
neat breakfast music to listen to while getting ready for my corporate job this fine Monday morning
I always thought I was nuts for being able to listen to nonsense noise for hours on end. Then I found you, Ned. Then I found you 😍😘

The shitness of the original loop really helps make this noise kick like a funky mule. The is super fun. No glitch plugs needed.
munky fule
I'm still hallucinating- in between the laughter.

this must be exactly how people around me perceive what I do in ableton
Max tempo for quick tempo automation recording is a god tier move I didn't think I'd want to do.

So many LOL's in this. Lovely stuff. I did have a nice relaxing time in front of RUclips :)

I’m on mobile app. No ads on mine until after the ending.
@@milk_bath That's how I watched it too. Oh well, I think it must've been a glitch. Or the universe had it in for me that day, lol
No. It was me. I have to remember to turn off mid roll ads after uploading. RUclips enables it by default for longer videos.
@@NedRush Hi Ned, followed the video and came up with this.... just a spitball goof thing. kinda hilarious
