Minus the burpy, I’m really digging your tutorials Ned. Thanks mate.
Best vid I have seen on this on RUclips!!! Thank you!!!!
sweat pants: check. comfortable: check. switched the tea and whiskey for water and a joint, though.
Dont do drugs
joint and earl grey... believe me you will thank me later :D
The belching elevated this video into the upper echelons of Ultimate.
Thanks, you're my favourite musical tutorial person
I keep coming back to this video. And every f time I learn something new! So much good stuff packed here. Thank you Ned!
Absolutely brilliant Ned - thank you sir!
You are so pleasant to listen to. The authenticity of your recordings is 💯
This was enjoyable and educational. Ive stayed stayed away from creating clips in the mixer view and have been doing it all manually in arrangement, but there were some awesome tips im gonna make use of now. thanks.
gracias,!!!, al grano y sin contemplaciones... educative breaking
Excellent. I never thought of the first way to chop. I would tap the samples with pad to get it to do this.
Hey, this was great - I didn't know about choke groups, so thanks for that
Thank you. Been at an impasse with a few breakbeats and you tutorial has been a great help :)
This must be the best video on RUclips.
I love Ned Rush
Love all your vids, do more!
Two other chopping ideas. Setting the choke group to 1 on your drum rack slicing preset saves loads of time later.
Instead of chopping the audio into separate clips, I place warp markers where I want the cuts, then slice to new midi track using warp markers and the drum rack slice preset.
Brilliant! Thank you so much!
I feel you came full circle here. The first video I ever saw by you was titled something like "Breakcore in Ableton in 90 seconds", one of the funniest videos I have ever ever seen on ableton. Love your work mate, don't go changing xD
Just 2 mins in and I am already mind blown. Never knew ableton can do this.
Great tut - thank you!
HTF did I miss this one…Ned Rush channel runs deep 😎🖤🍭
Thank uuuuuuu! and always good info :) have a good one!
I love any and all videos with the "ultimate" in their titles. Luv you, bud. Smashing as always!
+Joshua Casper xx
Joshua Casper my bio we should all have a ultimate addition of our vids thanks
Awesome, thx !

There aren’t that many keys on a keyboard my guy
love your vids ned, your so funny man

never hit a cowbell so hard in my life before

Get in
So I've been searching far and wide for a simple way to truncate MIDI notes and Audio in the arrangement view so when a track is minimized I can still know where sounds are coming from. Usually I'll end up doing that by hand which is long and cumbersome but I feel like there's more than likely an easier way, especially seeing the way you have MIDI in the same lane from the different tracks. Any ideas?
Either way, you're the best
"It's very easy to get lost in a world of random aleatoric nonsense". This should be the welcoming message in Ableton.
method #2: your clip quantization works in tandem with the Follow Action time!
Anyone know how to reverse an individual midi drum hit (a slice of a drum break) in ableton, as a newbie to ableton I can't seem to find the setting. Thanks.
Do you show how to do a timestreatch snare, and/or pitched up/down snare roll in any of your video? Appreciate you mate!
Probably in one of the jungle videos.
amazing tutorial...I am just wondering how did you get that "sample slice to midi" that you made on your own around minute 14:30, I like how you can control the envelope!
+James Meustache you need to create an empty one and save in slicing defaults. Google "custom slicing presets"
Also, is it normal that I can't manage to do the one with the drum rack on Ableton 9.0 ? :(
Oh thank you I didn't see the answer first. :)
Ok cool!
sweat pants hahaha you crack me up sir ned
is there actually a way to emulate old hardware samplers with the ableton sampler? like by lowering the bitrate or something? I could use a plugin, but I would like to know, if sampler can do something like that, too
It has a shaper but otherwise not really.
Can I like this again
Yo man can I get that sweet pea sample plz 👀
shall we
everything's fine, but I see you start off with Amen Break sample already pre produced... Could you or somebody explain the prerequisities? Or how to make Amen Break sample sound like it is sounding from the beggining
think it's probably just taken fro the web, or a sample library
A bit of distortion, compress, use a transient shaper, Adjust ASDR to taste, chop and eq each hit individually and layer drum hits over the amen, saturator, and a touch of reverb. I've gotten nearly as clean as Ruby My Dear.
@@Unit_With_Legs any particular free Transient Shaper plagin you'd reccomend?
what's the origin or name of this break...??
sveast 1999 it's the called "both eyes open" break.
Got it....It´s Sweet Pea
sveast 1999 ah, ok
You should do a belching sample and swearing lines throwing in along with some randon ahh-fck-its or other. In this video, it would have been intresting to make the subs watch you do your protols update, just to be a bastard. :)
What happens if my favourite pants are no pants? I generally try not to have anything to do with sweat. Even by name. Will you have to increase the maturity level of your video? Or decrease it?
epic and boring.
no. epic and entertaining
Most disjointed but fun tutorial.....
Burp
I actually stopped the video and went to put some sweat pants on at 0:31 - I might be the most subservient person in Gondor.
belch...
Don't wanna be a dick, but newbie to ableton and finding it hard to follow the steps, for example how do i duplicate a clip; deducing that it's a keyboard shortcut from the microphone picking up the keyboard taps.
Cmd d
Google Ableton keyboard shortcuts.
i was being dumb, ctr-c ctrl-v
Ctrl d is duplicate.
3:16 mm.... what the FUC-
1:24 💀 wtf
Why don't you explain how to do the things, which key to push or whatever? Someone who has no idea can learn basically nothing from that.
try taking the blue pill
This channel is not really aimed at people with no idea. There's a bunch of beginner tutorials out there.
