Q: How many songs can you fit in one song?
Sabbath: Yes
"Man I feel that shit." Never a truer word.
The bass player Geezer Butler wrote most of the lyrics for Sabbath.
Guy was incredibly gifted
I guess they say Geezer wrote 90% of the lyrics, mean while Ozzy would come up with pretty much alllll of the melodies. People like to come at Ozz for his lack of writing, but without his sound Sabbath falls to the wayside.
Geezer wrote the main riff to this song as well.
The way Ozz delivers them tho shout out Geezer
@@abracadabra3033 the funny thing about your comment is your could take out guy for geezer and it'd be the same sentence haha
Fucking love A National Acrobat. Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and Killing Yourself to Live are another two great picks from the album
And Sabra Cadabra!
@@RazzleDazz72
With Rick Wakeman
Man, I love these dirty, bluesy guitar riffs with never ending tempo changes, insane drumming that never lets up, and add Ozzys almost haunting, one of a kind voice, singing those dark, mystical, philosophical lyrics and you’ve got the audio crack cocaine that was early Sabbath. It always sounds fresh and relevant and will continue to be discovered and rediscovered for many years to come.
I agree , but yes , dirty bluesy exactly it
Spot on, Gus. For me, given the lyric content and Ozzy's unique delivery, that you mention there, I see him as more a preacher than a singer.
Gotta do a reaction to Spiral Architect, my man, from the same album.. Kind of a deep track and freaking amazeballs.. Also Sabbra Cadabra and the title track Sabbath Bloody Sabbath are killer.. Ah hell, anything Sabbath did in the Ozzy days is straight FIRE!!
Definitely will do , thank you
dude, i see your Motorhead shirt! F' yeah!
Your handle abracadabra reminds me of another Black Sabbath song, Sabbra Cadabra. That's another great song to react to.
Will do definitely
Classic. Yes, its HEAVY! Good choice. I love Ozzies voice in this one, he's bringing his A game. They all are.🔥🔥
Indeed
Iommi is playing funky AF in this.
My fav Sabbath track & there's no shortage of candidates either! This is my sweet leaf.
Candy-dates. There's enough candy on this album to make you wanna book a date with the dentist.😂
Instant party just add Black Sabbath...This never sounds old to me...Another great choice..
More MUSIC people will still be listening to 100 years from now.
Liked it before I even watched. Some things you just know LOL
If I was stuck on a deserted island and could only listen to one band it would be Sabbath.
Totally agree
I just love the diabolical riffs that this band seems to have on every song they do!
Abracadabra, great choice--one of Sabbath's greatest songs!
Tony Iommi is one of Rock music's geniuses. He played in blues bands in England, prior to Sabbath. His career nearly ended before it really started, when he lost the tips of two fingers on his fret hand, during an accident while working in a machine shop. He contemplated giving up music, but then he recalled the great jazz guitarist, Django Reinhardt, who played incredibly, despite the fact that he was missing some fingers. So Iommi figured out a whole new way to play; he wore rubber thimbles on his damaged fingers, used lighter-gauge strings on his guitar, tuned it down, etc. In the end, the heavy distorted guitar sound that Iommi pioneered, initially described as "Atomic Blues", came to be known as "Heavy Metal".
Atomic Blues , i like that too
@@abracadabra3033, I wish the "Atomic Blues" name had stuck. I think it is far more descriptive of the music that Sabbath made.
Yea brother this one and war pigs are my favorite sabbath tracks
War Pigs is my top ✌
@@abracadabra3033 man im telling you they are legendary i completly underestimated this band,if you love war pigs you should check out "iron man" from them
My brothers put me onto Black Sabbath when I was about 13 when the Sabbath Bloody Sabbath vinyl came out to the disgust of my parents and to my awakening. Sitting in my bedroom with a portable record player was the beginning of my musical education. Still have the songs on my playlist 50 years later. Still have the vinyl too 😁 it was a huge moment and much different to the first record my mum bought me - Nancy Sinatra "these boots were made for walking". Don't have that vinyl any more.
I grew up with this band. Me and Sabbath are 40 years in.
Hearing these old masterpieces change your brain for the rest of your life... well done
Best band of all time. Hands down.
One of Sabbath's greatest songs. The somber guitar riff in the first portion sounds almost... Medieval. Another great reaction, Abracadabra. Your contemplative approach to these videos is really unique and appreciated. Your channel is "The Thinking Man's Reaction Channel". Much appreciated, brother!
I'm 62. It's still one of my all-time favorites. Tony Iommy is a master on his guitar, and don't forget, he plays with prosthetics. They are all great and combine they are just one big explosion of muses.
Ditto.
Solidarity, old school. Solidarity.
Tony Iommi created heavy metal, anyone who says different is not the full quid😜
Black Sabbath: The Cornerstone Of All Heavy Metal-And The Filler Of All The Empty Spaces With It.
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath & Sabotage . My favorite Black Sabbath albums
One of my favorites. You dont hear this song mentioned with the usual, popular Sabbath songs. I love all of mood changes in the song.
Black Sabbath what a band! Proud to say they are from my home town of Birmingham U.K.
Love the channel man 🍻
🍻, thank you
One of my all-time favorite Sabbath tunes- gets funky as fuck in there!
The only metal tune that brought me to tears when I first heard it .
Sabbath bloody Sabbath is one of the essential 4, for me, this, Vol 4 Master of Reality, Black Sabbath
Their first 6 albums were incredible and the 2 the band did with Dio as their singer were also great!!!!
Bron again with Ian Gillian is a great Black Sabbath lp !!!
You can trust the first 11 Sabbath albums.
This song is great.
Album* 😉
@@jarrettthomas4865 Oops! lol.
In my top three Sabbath favorites, right along with Into the Void and The Thrill of it All!
Right there with you man, every time it ends I'm like "NO! it's ending". Best bongo tune I know, so great.
I always read the lyrics to this song to be about reincarnation. However, according to the songwriter, Geezer Butler, himself, the lyrics contemplated the mysteries of birth. He said that "A National Acrobat was just him thinking about who selects what sperm gets through to the egg". Spiral Architect is about DNA. Anyway, a great song. Another great reaction, man. Best wishes from England.
Thank you and wow , i have to check out ,Spiral Architect now
That was a killer track, and the whole album is great. But the real knockout from that album is the title track "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath". Somewhat of an epic in it's own right. I expect you'll react to it in time. This was their 5th studio album and by this point were dealing with all the excesses and trimmings, as well as the trappings, of big name rock stardom.
Really enjoy your attuned, yet equally relaxing, reactions. There's an almost meditative atmosphere to this channel, which is a welcomed gift in contrast to all the external worldly madness. Peace.
I truly truly appreciate that sincerely , and i definitely will be reacting to Sabbath Bloody Sabbath ✌🙏
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is the best!
Everyday is a good day for some Sabbath 🤘✌ my favorite band, original members,
Back to watch this one again for the 100th time - great reaction! Love this song with your commentary!
Thank You
I was in a Sabbath cover band in the 90's called Sabracadabra ...I was Phoney Iommi... I'm left handed and play an SG so it was kind of fitting to do it. You're right their music was tough, born from living in Birmingham in the UK in the 50's and 60's.... Glad you're digging the journey bro... take care.
Heavy chill music. Doesn’t get much better than Sabbath.
One of Sabbath's best deep cuts
Seconding Spiral Architect.
This whole album's great- One of their best. Check out Sabbra Cadabra as well.
Right On! This music is on... my soul RIP Chrissy and Baby John every day Thanks Bro
ive had reoccurring dreams that feature either this song. or what hes talking about. thats how much it sticks out to me. the whole thing is just facts bro. 1 year later and ive watched this reaction probably 6 times over the course of it.
just remember...
love is life and hate is living death
Greatest concert I’ve ever seen! Original Sabbath line up in 97! I felt Ozzys anger and threat! If we didn’t get up and go crazy he was going to punish us! He made me feel like if I didn’t let go and enjoy myself my soul would be cursed forever! Thanks Ozzy!
😂😂😂, that’s a pretty cool story ✌🏾
Saw them at ozz fest. Were outstanding
Im glad to grow up whit these😊 ...im 67....❤
Energizing!!!! First time hearing this song for me, at 65. Lol. I picked you, intuitively I suppose, from a long line of reactors. Thank you so much for your reaction. Soul!!!
Ozzies voice gets inside love this track. They always leave you wanting more.
True
This album and Sabotage are on another level entirely. This first 4 are classic and created the genre but 5&6 are just mind candy.
I am about to purchase another one , probably this album
Ozzy was in his prime on 5 & 6.
Any of the first 6 albums are great
Well said Dean, couldn't have put it better :)
Absolutely, those two albums follow each other well - a part 1 and 2
My brother , yes that is the feeling. Open fucking road , cant be stopped cant be touched
Sabbra Cadabra! Same album.
Probably next ✌🏾
2nd the motion, one of my favorite Sabbath songs.
I'm lucky I grew up when I did
Welcome Abracadabra brother to the fathers of metal, enjoy, your on the right track. Keep on keeping on.
My favorite band of all time. Solid guitar riffs, amazing frontman, and a rhythm section that can’t be touched. They really are the whole picture.
Another great Sabbath song. Love your reaction and your enthusiasm Abracadabra. I bought the vinyl album Sabbath Bloody Sabbath when it first came out and I have listened to it a thousand times. Never gets old. Love your channel man!
I truly appreciate it, thank you
One of my favorite Sabbath songs
My favorite Sabbath song from my favorite album. I was 16 years old when this came out. Tripping on purple microdot acid and listening to this album. Wow!
I feel the same way bro. Some of their lyrics are really deep. Listen to Lord of this world, Wicked world, or Killing yourself to live just to name a few. Lord, so many master pieces.
Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin.,Pink Floyd, The Doors. THE BIG 4 OF HARD ROCK.
Sabbath is peaking in these 5th and 6th albums.
Good choice . next one go back to the begining (NIB maybe)??
For sure
Black Sabbath - spiral architect
My favorite album. Of all time sabbath bloody sabbath listen to title track they are all great songs
Sabbath is Music w a Message
"Wow, that's it?" Like me, you just don't want it to end.
Great song the whole album is great.
My first two ablums.. Pink Floyd Dark Side and Black Sabbath Paranoid.... after that ... all is null n void
Bro is actually sitting back to enjoy it!
this is my favorite Sabbath song
Thanks for covering my favorite Sabbath sermon.
You want to hear vintage Sabbath ? Look for the band " Earth " . That's pre - Sabbath before the name was changed . They started off as a band playing blues , but didn't make it . Look for songs like " The Rebel , When I Came Down & Early One Morning Blues " . 🤙
Crazy. Somebody with a foundatuon in hip hop who actually appreciates other genres of music. What plsnet did i wake up on?
I get choked up watching your Sabbath reactions. It's like turning a friend on to it back in the day - while cruising around in the GTO blasting it with the windows down.
This is by far the best Sabbath song
Thank you ♡
Dude, I enjoy your reactions because they are honest. Please keep doing this good work. If you haven’t heard the Sabbath song called “Snowblind” from the album Vol IV, I recommend highly.
I will check it , and thank you
do more sabbath!!!
Definitely
1 minute in, already got goosebumps. Shit!! What a great band, different tone, emotion, just legendary shit! Great reaction brother. This thought just hit me!! Bro I bet you'd like Crowbar-'Planets Collide'.
Can’t stop watching your channel! Have all their early albums. Would go to the record store-headshop every day after school to see what new heavy metal record came in, and also pick up rolling papers! When needed! 1971-1975.
Bill Ward swings bro.....🥁
yep this is the first alvume i ever bought, when i was 12 im 60 now .i like you man ive looked through your videos and you are on my level of goog taste, lol you need to listen to fluff i think its right after this song man that song is so smoth it will put a baby to sleep
Sabbra Cadabra and "Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath" next, Abbra, for sure. Both are great songs. Then, imho, try Sweet Leaf or Children of the Grave. Hope your day's going well, and I can't wait to see another flawless react from you. Take care and be safe.
This was always one of my favorite Sabbath songs since I was a kid. It never really gets much attention from most people.
Feel it brother cuz that shits real!!!
Glad you checked this one out!!
One of my favorites
man i love your channel and this song too much. thanks for all you do bro!
I got to see the Black Sabbath perform at Ozzfest a few times and they never disappointed. They are the standard for heavy music to this day. I love to be around for the ride with you because I can remember those feelings while watching you. Enjoy it because there are many more songs to get through.
Sabbath could have made 4 songs out of this song.It shows you how much sauce they had.
Agreed
nice glad you enjoyed dudes are the best everything about em
God damn black sabbath was just that good! keep going brother been following you since 1k! great content
😁✌✌✌🙏🙏🙏, thank you Bro , i can't forget Jarhead4ever , ✌
The never ending well-the abyss of knowledge.
My first concert was Black Sabbath in 1976 love all songs but check out sabbath bloody sabbath. The riff is so bad ass
My favorite song from my favorite Sabbath album. I think their songwriting and riff writing was at its peak on this album... incredible
I was lucky enough to have seen them soon after this album came out. I wore out this record back then and still listen to it regularly. Any modern hard rock band will tell you Sabbath is where it all started
Two thumbs up ! More Sabbath please, The Sabotage album in it's entirety is a good place to start.
😁, indeed i will
0:30 The mood Sabbath brings normally requires a prescription. They're just that good.
Sabbath Rocks. The “Wizard” has always been a Fav. Great Reaction again. Thin Lizzy....
Damn bro thought i would never find ya again , muchlove
INTO THE VOID.... my fave Sabbath tune. Check it out bro
SABARA CADABRA is from this song set also of the same lp..It is a funky dawg tune
Definitely
I was listing to this song in 72 with my uncle willy Philllps . on leave from vietnam after being shot through the shoulder . on reel to reel
"Already! Already!" Luv it! #Sabbath
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and Killing Yourself to Live - 2 more great ones on this album
Saw Black Sabbath in 1972 with Uriah Heep opening haven't been the same since lol
Love Love Love this Tune!!!!!! Thank you for reacting!
✌
Back in the Day, there were no HEADPHONES. This music must be experienced on a very loud stereo. You miss all the bong shaking base and drums that come from everywhere.... We would play this music as loud as possible so all the neighbors would here it. There is nothing like this Music shaking every window, table door in the house. Scares the crap out of ya...
Nothing can compare to being able to feel the music, no exception.
Yes there were headphones. I know I was there with them on.
@@carolynfreiwald708 They didnt have headphones in 73?
