Yes Phil, agree! Also saw them at BST Hyde Park which was truly amazing (plus Motörhead Ace of Spades) Amazing and was lovely to see whole families there, nice to know they’re passing it down the generations. Some tracks were missing, apparently because Ozzy had problems with the high notes but it was still brilliant

Yes so different from the 70s when they’d be brushed off probably since album rock stations never played more than paranoid and iron man if you were even lucky enough to catch these now and then. They’re were heavily slagged and many now have no idea what is sabbath fans dealt with lol! Fan since 1976 at 15!

Keyboards (synthesizer and piano) on this song were played by Rick Wakeman of "Yes". Sabbath would use keyboards sparingly on earlier Ozzy albums, but here they stepped up their use and later on would hire Jezz Woodroffe to tour with them during the mid 70s. On the rest of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, piano and harpsichord was played by Tony Iommi on select tracks, and Ozzy played the Minimoog and wrote the music for the song "Who Are You".

Thank you for your reaction to one of my favs from the Sab4.
Man alive, this is the infancy of prog metal at its best. Ozzy is a bluesy maniac. The back and forth between Bill and Tony is beautiful thing to behold as both show their mastery of their respective crafts. Oh and Geezer lays down some of the stickiest bass lines throughout as the others noodled and fed the crowd as well as writing the very personal lyrics. I love this band, they are my favorite and i make no secret of it. They are one of those bands that if given a chance will give each listener a unique experience. Enjoy your journey as you discover the deep body of work these guys had in 10 years as well as the later line ups including with the greatest pure metal voice of Ronnie James Dio.
Have fun, you have a new sub here.
