Very recently on A&E, they aired a documentary about Ozzy Osbourne called, the nine lives of Ozzy Osbourne. It's not all glitz. He grew up in poverty and didn't easily fit in. During his career he experienced many tragedies. Some where things out of his control, unfortunately many was his own doing from serious drug and alcohol addiction. He survived it all. I believe he's 70 now.

Or try the band who Black Sabbath inspired - Metallica. They have so many great songs with so much depth to their lyrics. You can also hear Sabbath in many of their songs.
