    This started as a customer service issue of someone saying that they had two new air cartridges that would not work. It was pretty obvious that this might be a teaching moment. Within 10 seconds of opening their package, it was evident that the burst disks had been dry-fired, and at no point had they ever been aired up (The small stainless steel disk was perfectly flat). Hopefully, this review of the basics will be of use to some of the new Defender 2 owners.

    What I’ve discovered is the oring either flattens out or gets slightly damaged at the burst disc I started using small amount of silicone oil on the new or still good o rings and haven’t had a problem since .

    Think of the applications this could have! 😲😲😲
    You have in your hands a complete air rifle shell that only needs to be poked.
    Think about it! No more air tank in the field or on your rifle or pistol!
    Just a box, bag, bandolier or even your pockets filled with them.
    Omg this is what will get airguns regulated.
    A Complete enclosed concealable system of essentially unlimited ammunition.
    Just imagine something like the AA-12 Or the Striker

    I may be wrong but it was my understanding that the lines on the new cartridge heads help the pins from blowing out. I had a problem forever with my pins blowing out the back and so finally Bin over at Bintac “Great dude by the way” sent me the updated ones to fix that problem. So far so good, i think they channel the initial burst of air that comes out the back out and away from going through the pin holes and blowing them out. Could be totally wrong but that was my assumption and i haven’t had one blow out yet since i got the new grooved ones. Anyways love your videos and i plan on being a customer soon. Awesome products

    Still cant get my head around how these fire out the front with disc in the back?
    Edit nm you described it pretty good.
    Wonder how much air gets out the back after the initial burst?

      Enough that in its predecessor, the Defender, it could create issues (misfires, the occasional broken firing pin, etc.). This new design eliminates those issues

    You need to ensure that you are using a dryer to make sure no moisture is being compressed into the cartridge.

    • @texomaprecisionpellet7545
      @texomaprecisionpellet7545  Месяц назад

      I’ve found an inline dryer works. Also, these are not like the Gen one Defender Cartridges that would rust internally. Gen 2 Defenders and the Harpoon have stainless steel internal part.

      How reliable is it? Do you trust it to carry it? How many shots fail out of say every 10 shots?

    • @robertbeltowski2819
      @robertbeltowski2819 11 месяцев назад

      Hello, First off I have Version #1 so I can not speak for Version #2. My gun I would not carry because of reliable issues. I have 10 air cylinders and they all leak at some point. I have tried letting them sit filled for week just to see how many lose air. Some do some do not lose air. I alway make sure the O-rings have scuba lube on them. If I fill all ten cylinders I have, maybe 2 or 3 will fail. I feel that Version #2 is much better and will get one down the road. Hope this answers your questions. @@sheridanarnold6467

      Internally, there is no comparison on the cartridges. Defender to cartridges have stainless steel internal parts and the construction just seems better
