Thank you so much for all of your kind words of encouragement! I’m happy you seemed to like the tutorial and hopefully I’ll have another one posted soon🥰 have a wonderful day friends!🫶🏽❤️
Please don’t question making a tutorial because you don’t spit out a painting like an AI program. I’ve been watching tutorials for 6 years, including from a guy who was an art and lighting director for Disney, Pixar, Lego, and video games and the most elite of them all teach that painting is about problem solving. Going back and forth until it is as you like! Nevertheless, you were the swiftest of about anyone in your painting, knowing where you wanted what colors, and you’re a terrific teacher. I subscribed to your channel before you finished. Please remember the voice that makes you question yourself is your inner critic. Don’t listen!!! Make more beautiful videos (I know it must be so much work) teaching students who want to learn from you. And how can they learn from someone who isn’t human? Give yourself grace and look at what you’ve done according to the finished pieces. The process of getting there? That is what your showing us - how to problem solve and figure things out. With warm wishes I look forward to your next videos. ❤
Aw thank you so much!🥰It's definitely up there with my favourites and it's my favourite tutorial I've done so far :) I have plans for lots more to come!
Again, thanks for sharing tutorials Amber. Love all the tips you give, the way you film, the soft piano music in the background and most of all, the beautiful painting! Cheers from Colorado, USA
Love your painting style, I always feel like i cant share my artistic process because i do it and re do it so many times i cant make up my mind, now I feel a little validated. Also your videos are very soothing so thank you :)
I’m so happy to hear that! The artistic process can be so messy but sharing it can make us all feel like we’re in this together 😅 so glad you liked the video, thank you🥰
Amber, thanks so much for sharing your process. It is amazing with a outstanding outcome! Congratulations! I wish you all the best and more for 2024 filled with blessings for each day. I’m so happy your channel was recommended. Love the colors and sunsets, sunrises and portrait are my favorites to oil paint. Excellent work, right to the point with detail information. New subscriber! Greetings from Champaign, Illinois, USA. It is freezing today but we have had warmer unusual temperatures for February. Take care and be safe! ❤❤❤
Great video! Definitely learned a lot from this video alone. You should make a video on how to mix colors, that’s definitely something I am having trouble with. Thanks again. Keep up the great work!
i started learning the bob ross way and its great , but your way is a lot more refined and just the tip on using smaller blending brushes alone is worth the sub , no more using the Big brushes for me , Thank you , your a wonderful artist.
Hi, Really great and helpful video. Thank you so much. I find it very difficult to blend orange and yellow with any blue shed. How did you do it? Thank you
I love your process Amber you are responding to the image and your work as it is developing, no need to apologise your great, love your manner, but you don’t need the musack xx
I’ve heard some tutorials say to use more of a pink or purple tone right next to any blue when making a sunset painting, then add your yellows as to not have your yellow sun colors turn green. Have you found this to be accurate? I’ve struggled with the glow and realism’s of the clouds, thank you for this tutorial it’s helped already! 🤗
It was so helpful to learn that you premixed your colors. I’ve never seen anyone do that. I can see how helpful that would be. I’m just curious how you arrive at the color palette?
It's very beautiful, I'll definitely try it, but please show your palette while you're working. It's very helpful for beginners like me to know exactly which colors to use in each part. Thank you
Thank you so much for following along! :) Yes I will do for beginner tutorials. For this one I didn't want to be moving the camera every 10 seconds but for future tutorials I will take that on board
Love your work! Is there any particular reason you use different mediums for different pieces? Like Glakyd for one and Refined linseed for another, or Poppy Oil... Just as the feeling takes you or does one kendntwekf better to a painting then another for you?
Hey ...u painted it so well ...even watching this tutorial I couldn't make it as realistic....I wanted to ask amber can I sell this painting to a friend that I have painted seeing your tutorial
Hi Amber, when mixing the orange and the darker clouds, how are you not getting any greens .. I loved this tutorial I dudnt see this and tried painting this but this really helped thank you ❤
This was really enjoyable, but it would be very helpful if you could say which colors you were mixing. You did it very quickly and I could not follow which colors you were mixing together. Thank you very much and I look forward to more videos.
Amber... cómo pintas de hermano...yo también intento pintar ...me relaja yy es lo que me gusta ...te felicito eres genial..un saludo especial desde Colombia...🙏
This is different to a lot of sunset over the sea tutorials, a lot more interesting, have you done a similar one in acrylics? Thank you, its a great result, im going to try it in acrylics 😮👍🙌
Thanks for the tutorial Amber ❤ I think a lot of us wouldn't mind if you post more longer videos with less editing especially with the waves at the end.
I love this style of painting I only wish you could show how you did the waves in real time at least for at least a minute, so we could see what you’re doing… It is probably the hardest part of the whole painting as far as I’m concerned
Amazing tutorial. Thank you so much! I’m a beginner with Oils and am trying to learn from other artists how to manage mediums, layers etc. I am wondering, for this particular painting, do you use the same amount of Galkyd for the entire painting or did you add more fat/oil as you went ? The tutorials makes it seem like it’s only one main layer. Did you wait for the paint to dry at any point during the tutorial or was it all done in one go? Thank you again!
I've just started getting into oil painting and one issue I'm having is with my brushes, especially the smaller ones. When I go to clean them, the bristles become flayed and loose the fine tip and I'm unable to paint any fine detail in. Do you have any advice for brush care?
Thank you so much for all of your kind words of encouragement! I’m happy you seemed to like the tutorial and hopefully I’ll have another one posted soon🥰 have a wonderful day friends!🫶🏽❤️

i loved how all the mixed color looked together on your palette and i think this may be my favorite of all the paintings you've done, it's stunning!!!
Aw thank you so much!🥰It's definitely up there with my favourites and it's my favourite tutorial I've done so far :) I have plans for lots more to come!

Great job! You made it look so simple, but it took a lot of practice.
Love it! This helped me a lot. Although I felt like I just needed a little tap of highlights on the peaks of the waves. Would be *chefs kiss*

Having a go tomorrow 🤞🤞
Love the videos Amber, you are the best! I am just wondering what size and brand your fine detail brush is? Keep them coming!
Thank you, its amazing!!!
Love your work! Is there any particular reason you use different mediums for different pieces? Like Glakyd for one and Refined linseed for another, or Poppy Oil... Just as the feeling takes you or does one kendntwekf better to a painting then another for you?

Thank you for sharing your beautiful, hard work! Can you tell me how long it takes for a painting like this to dry? Once again thanks 👍
Hi Amber, when mixing the orange and the darker clouds, how are you not getting any greens .. I loved this tutorial I dudnt see this and tried painting this but this really helped thank you ❤
🛸🛸🛸there is like a UFO in that 2nd photo 🛸🛸🛸
Nicely done reminds me of Dali
This was really enjoyable, but it would be very helpful if you could say which colors you were mixing. You did it very quickly and I could not follow which colors you were mixing together. Thank you very much and I look forward to more videos.
Amazing painting..kindly mention brush for waves
Nice❤
its great
Beautiful art! One question, did you let it dry first or did you paint wet on wet?
Amber... cómo pintas de hermano...yo también intento pintar ...me relaja yy es lo que me gusta ...te felicito eres genial..un saludo especial desde Colombia...🙏
Beautiful painting. A fellow Brightonian :) Just wondering, do you do anything with the sides of the canvas?
Amazing! Can this be done with acrylic paints?
for the waves at the end, did u use only one colour? or did u use lighter colours at you approached the sun?
This is different to a lot of sunset over the sea tutorials, a lot more interesting, have you done a similar one in acrylics? Thank you, its a great result, im going to try it in acrylics 😮👍🙌
Thanks for the tutorial Amber ❤
I think a lot of us wouldn't mind if you post more longer videos with less editing especially with the waves at the end.
Is that tub from a gu pot? Haha I love them, I’m new to painting and going to try to learn from you
Really beautiful, love every minute of it. Subscribing immediately!!!!
The canvas that you're using its very nice one, wich brand is it?
Thank you
I’m struggling to mix the colors together and also using the knife blending thing lol I’m very new. Any tips?
Love this. Would definitely try❤
How do you keep blues and oranges from mixing? Mine turn into an ugly green colour 😢
I love this style of painting I only wish you could show how you did the waves in real time at least for at least a minute, so we could see what you’re doing… It is probably the hardest part of the whole painting as far as I’m concerned
Very nice, which blender brush is this
love from india, helped me out a lot.
Amazing tutorial. Thank you so much! I’m a beginner with Oils and am trying to learn from other artists how to manage mediums, layers etc.

Thank you again!
Wow, could you kindly let me know the colours you used and how you mixed them please?
Good job
Your oils go on very easy do you thin them down as they look like they glide on the canvas
I've just started getting into oil painting and one issue I'm having is with my brushes, especially the smaller ones. When I go to clean them, the bristles become flayed and loose the fine tip and I'm unable to paint any fine detail in. Do you have any advice for brush care?
❤
Where do u find the zest it ? I looked on Amazon but couldn’t find it .
